Midgard Country Estate offers 46 fully equipped rooms, Carl’s Dining Room & Bar, two swimming pools, a gym and sauna as well as Namibia’s one and only private skittle alley (Kegelbahn). Choose between one of our 36 Standard Rooms, 5 Family Rooms or 5 Luxury Rooms with views overlooking the swimming pools, gardens, courtyard or mountains. The estate is spaciously situated in a sprawling country garden, bordering the Swakop River Valley.

At Midgard we invite you and your wedding guests to relax and have fun. Feel free to soak up the ambiance and simply unwind or explore the outdoors on our hiking and mountain trails. Have fun in our bowling alley, play some volleyball, tennis, table tennis, pool or outdoor chess or view our vintage car collection. One of the estate’s major attractions is a Hilltop Sundowner Drive, where you can enjoy a stunning 360° view over the Otjihavera Mountains with a refreshing sundowner in hand. We also offer morning or afternoon Game Drives through the separate 2 000 hectare nature reserve, along the Swakop River. Our game park is home to giraffes, blue and black wildebeests, oryx, kudus, hartebeests, eland, smaller antelope species, warthogs and baboons. If luck is on your side, even brown hyena and leopards can be spotted.

Bali BomaLooking for a wedding in true Namibian style, this thatched roof Boma will be the ideal venue choice. With its open fireplace at the centre of the Boma, surrounded by a spacious dance floor, it creates a rustic yet very romantic bonfire atmosphere.

Midgard Main HallThis exclusive venue with its high ceilings and magnificent parquet floor consists of two halls that can be combined and used for bigger wedding parties offering a total of 185 m2. This flexible space can be transformed to create the wedding of your dreams. The patio in front of the Main Hall invites you to take a dance break under the shades of a big Camelthorn tree.

Carl’s Dining RoomMidgard’s elegant dining room named after its founder Carl Werner List. This is simply a magnificent indoor venue, which can be booked in combination with fully exclusive weddings at the estate.

The Church (Ceremonies only) The intimate, traditional Chapel at Midgard with its vintage wooden walls and beautiful chandeliers is the perfect wedding venue for those who want to get married in a traditional church. The chapel is over 30 years old and can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Access by road

Midgard Country Estate is situated 85 km (±1 hour) northeast from

Windhoek, and about 70 km from the Hosea Kutako International

Airport.

From Windhoek on the B6 towards the International Airport: Take

the M53 turn off at Kapps Farm (±20 km). Continue along the

gravel road until the road intersects with the D2102, there you will

turn left. Travel 55 km along the D2102 until you reach Midgard

Country Estate on your left. Allow ±90 minutes traveling time.

From Windhoek on the B1 towards Okahandja: Turn right onto the

D2102 and continue on the gravel road until you reach Midgard

Country Estate on your right (±59 km). Allow ±90 minutes

travelling time.

From the Hosea Kutako International Airport: Turn right at the

Neudamm Agricultural College onto the D2102. After ±7 km

continue straight across the intersection onto the D2102. Travel 55

km along the D2102 until you reach Midgard Country Estate on

your left. Allow ±80 minutes traveling time by road.

From Okahandja: On the B1 turn left onto the D2102 and continue

on the gravel road until you reach Midgard Country Estate on

your right (±64 km). Allow ±60 minutes
