CABINET MAGAZINE

The product I have created is ‘Cabinet Magazine’. ‘Cabinet’ is a dance music magazine that refuses to special ize in one particular genre, instead going with whatever is ‘good’ at the t ime. So the general movement of the magazine stays fresh to the specific age bracket it is aimed at 16-24. By adapting the genre to the t ime, combined with a large onl ine presence it means the readership can be extended continuously as long as dance music continues.

Currently on the market in the print based media are market leaders ‘Mixmag’ and ‘DJ Mag’. There are a number of online based magazines who specialize in the whole dance genre, and also ‘Clash’, which specializes in popular music in an evolutionary sense l ike ‘Cabinet’. ‘Mixmag’ and ‘DJ’ also have large sections reviewing music and mixing software/hardware too.
