•ANCES,theAssociationofSpanishBICs.Madeupof27regionalmemberspromotingentrepreneurship.

•ACEPPA,Associationof14PublicBusinessCentresthroughoutthePrincipa-lityofAsturias.

Asmembersofthegoverningbodiesofthesenetworks,wecooperateinstrategyplanningandimplementationofnewprogrammestopromoteentrepreneurship.Otherentitiesandorganizations,local,regionalandinternational,relyonourexpe-rienceindisseminatingentrepreneurshipwithinsociety,andtheEuropeanUnioninourexpertiseasSMEsInstrumentevaluators.WiththeobjectiveoftransferringknowledgeandR&Dresultstothemarket,wearestrategicpartnerstouniversitiesandtechnologycentres.Alongwith thePrincipalityofAsturias andother regionalentities,weare takingpart, in representationof IDEPAGroup, inplanningactions todrive “ActiveandHealthyageing”.Our region,Asturias,has thestatusofReference foractiveandhealthyageing,awardedbytheEuropeanUnion.We keep expanding links with entrepreneurship accelerators, sectoral experts,investors and technologycentres suchasMicrosoft Ibérica,EMGI (TelAviv), Illi-noisInstituteofTechnology(Chicago),McCombsSchoolofBusiness(Austin),ANII(Montevideo)andCIETEC(SaoPaulo).

On the 15th of June,we organized the thirdAsturias Investor´sDay (AID2017),aninstitutionalandentrepreneurialeventtoconveyAsturiaspotentialforinvestorsandinvestmentfunds.One-dayeventco-organisedwiththeEconomicDevelopmentAgencyofAs-turias(IDEPA),theRegionalPromotionSocietyofAsturias(SRP),AsturiasBu-siness Federation (FADE) and the support of theMinistry of Employment,IndustryandTourismofAsturias.Duringtheday,therewerethreedifferenttypesofforumsforSeedCapital,GrowthCapitalandBusinessTransfer.• IntheSeedCapitalForum,50innovativenovelstart-upshadtheoppor-tunitytoexplaintheirbusinesstopotentialinvestors.Thestart-upscamefromdifferentgrounds,35%wererelatedtoICTs,24%toIndustry4.0,20%tohealthscienceandtheresttoanassortmentofactivities.

Incubator SpacesWemanage the IncubatorandBio-incubatorat theTechnologyParkofAsturiasforinnovativeandtechnology-basedentrepreneursandcompaniesunderdifferentincubationmodels.During theyear,wedesignedandopenedanewbusinesssite, the Industry4.0Incubator (I4.0), located in theScientificandTechnologyParkofGijón, a site toincubateandtoserveasameetingpointforIndustry4.0relatedprojects.TheIncubatoroffersco-workingareasandprivateofficesaswellassharedspacestocaterforentrepreneursneedstoestablishandruntheircompanies.Thebio-incubatorprovidesoffices,fullyequippedlaboratoriesandsharedequip-ment,aneffectivewaytolaunchaLifeSciencesbusiness.Toadapttoentrepreneursandstart-upsspecificneedstherearedifferentmodelsofincubation:Nest,Vive,Bio,Virtual,Junior,CoworkingandMundus.Hostedcompaniesbenefitfromtheportfolioofservicesweprovideforentrepre-neursandstart-upssuchasbusinessdevelopmentadviceandinvestmentreadinessassessment.Atourincubatorspaces,wefindavibrantanddynamicenvironmentaplacewhereentrepreneursareclosetolike-mindedpeopleandshareexperiencesandinitiati-ves.Hostedcompanies,entrepreneursandthestart-upsthatwesupportmakeupBICAsturias Community. Huge amounts of resources are invested in promoting itsmembersvisibility, stimulating synergies among them, facilitating their access toexpertsandnetworking.

TheI4.0siteisalignedwithAsturiassmartspecializationRIS3aimingtogenerateentrepreneurialinitiativestoexploreandexploittechnology4.0businessopportunities.

I4.0welcomesentrepreneurs and start-ups that are innovative and Industry4.0 enablers, in avarietyoffieldssuchas3Dprinting,robotic,sensor,cybersecurity,virtualandintelligentreality,cloudcomputing,connectivityandmobility,solutionsappliedtotheprocess,dronesandbigdata.

TheI4.0isanopenandcollaborativespace,withprivateandcommunalareas,ashowcentrefortechnologypotential,avenuethatholdsanarrayofactivitiesandeventsrelatedtoindustry4.0.

R&D+iResearchanddevelopmentofnewmethodologiesareourmainwaytoimproveandincreasetheportfolioofservicesprovidedtoclients.Atthesametime,wepursuetoidentifyandmakethemostofnationalandinterna-tionalprogramsofinteresttoaccomplishourmission.Besides,wearecommittedtoshareandtransferknowledge,methodologiesandmanagerial tools to support entrepreneurs and other entities, either national orinternational,throughtechnicalassistanceandtakingpartinjointprojects.Inaddition,wedesignandsubmitproposalsfornationalandinternationalprogram-mescalls:SUDOE,ATLANTICARC,HORIZON2020,etc.Duringtheyear,wewentonexecutingtheEuropeanprojectsJamTodayandRyme+andlaunchedCrea&TechandIndustryDigitalTransformation.

JAMTODAYTheEuropeanGameJamLearningHubisaEuropeanCIPprogrammethataimstoimplementandadoptanewge-nerationofeducationalvideogamesacrossEurope.LedbyDutchGameGarden (DGG),24Europeanpart-nerscooperatedwiththeobjectiveofbuildingthepathstocreateasustainablenetworkuponwhichtoorganizeeducativevideogamecontestsandtosetupanadvisorygroupofgamingexpertsinthefieldoflearningtosupportICTs,mathematiclearningandwellbeing.During theyear, therewereexecuted thefinalplannedactionsundertheumbrellaofJamToday,withaseriesofactivitiestodisseminateandtransfergoodpractices.Inthisway,wejoinedtheGlobalGameJam,aninterna-

tionalvideogamedevelopmenteventthattakesplacesimultaneouslyatdifferentvenues.Inourregion,theeventwasatESNE,20–22January.During48hoursprofessionalswithdifferentprofessionalprofiles,mettocreatefourvideogamepro-totypes.TheGlobalGameJamservedtotransferJamTodaygamejam&hackathonsexpe-riencetoourregion.In the same line,we cooperated, as organizers,mentors and jury,withHackingHealthAsturias.Between10and12ofMarch,cross-disciplineprofessionalsputtogethertheirknow-howtoinnovateinhealthgaming.On5April,at“JamToday,TheFutureofGamification”,aneventheldinBrusselstoreviewtheachievementsoftheprogram,wegavetestimonialoftheimpactofJamTodaymethodsonourregion.

dingthemto internationalmarkets,benchmarking,tosharegoodpracticesandto establishtraderelationships.Theproject focussesonstimulatingSMEsmainly in thefieldsofhealthandwell-being,energy,materialsandindustrialsustainability,smartcities,ICTsandcreativeindustriesaccordingtospecificneedsoftheregionsinvolvedandtheirRIS3specia-lizationstrategy.CompaniesselectedforRYME+haveaccessto:• Mentoringbyapoolofinternationalexpertsthroughtheinternationalizationprocess.

• Networking,visibilityandinterrelationwithSMEsfromothercountriesthroughRyme+website.

• Commercialpreparationand trainingon foreignmarkets, legal requirements,taxes,culturalbarriers,funding,etc.

• Speedmeetingsandmultilateralonlinegatherings.• Tradeandbenchmarkingmissions.

Aftertheregionalkick-offeventthattookplaceonFebruary3th,withthecollabora-tionofASTUREXandDROPSENSand34participants,24start-upsshowedinterestintheproject.Thereare18selectedstart-upstakingpartintheprojectactions.Duringtheyear,theyattendedcommercialpreparationmeetingstoelaboratetheircompanyprofiles.Theprofileisthetoolforthestart-upstogetadviceandfeedback,fromtheprojectmentors,andtolookforpartnersandclientsintheinternationalmarkets.
