NEW OBJECTIVE: NEW ENTERPRENEURSHIP CULTURE

• Disseminate, educate and motivate the whole of Asturian society towards entrepreneurial activity in three dimensions: as a business entrepreneur, as an intra-entrepreneur or as a social entrepreneur, reaching economic sectors, population segments and territories which have had the greatest difficulties up to now.

• Strengthen the network of Business Centres, intensifying their work and articulating their connection with local authorities as key knowledge holders of the potentialities of the territory.

• Provide technical and financial support, as well as help in reconciling work with family life of entrepreneurs,

• Enhance knowledge of entrepreneurs and the self-employed, favouring partnerships and enhancing visibility within society.

Asturias Entrepreneurship

The Program for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Culture in the Principality of Asturias, is a comprehensive package of actions to support entrepreneurs and SMEs in the region. It is based on that entrepreneurial culture must be comprehensively addressed, following a route by which all business initiatives should pass since the emergence of the idea, the feasibility analysis, funding obtention, the start-up and further growth and consolidation.

The Program for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Culture in the Principality of Asturias

It is financed in a significant proportion of Structural Funds from the EU, ERDF / ESF,, both in their actions and in the disadvantaged groups support for those who start-up a business as Self-Employers or in Social Economy: women, young, unemployed people ...

It builds on the success and know how from:

o The undertaken actions to support entrepreneurship in the region during previous years, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the Structural Funds for piloting and testing new action lines.

o The actions aimed to specific groups which has been implemented by entrepreneurial support organizations in the region, as a result of its participation in EU programs

• The ESF Operational Programme 2007- 2013 in the Principality of Asturias has the main goals the employment of young people, womwn and long-time unemplymented people

• 5 PRINCIPAL GOALS are fixed:

– Facility to get a job by unemployed people to increasing participation of inactive persons and groups who need and extra-aid

– Promote entrepreneurial spirit and increase the ratio of new enterprises

– To get better adaptability of workers and companies increasing the number os assistants to courses

AIMS

Support to entrepreneurship from people who establish an

entrepreneurial activity by their own, guaranteeing some minimum

incomes in the initial period of start-up

BENEFICIARIES

Unemployed people who establish themselves as self-employed to

develop its entrepreneurial activity in the Principality of Asturias for

a minimum period of 3 years

SUBSIDY

Initial fixed amount granted to unemployed people who establish

themselves as self-employed in the Principality of Asturias to

support the begining of its entrepreneurial activity

• Up to 1.805 euros • It will be increased in 601 euros when the self-employed is a

woman

• It will be increased in 601 euros per child under 3 years (targeting

to women)

AIMS The promotion, encouragement and support to self-employment by

starting an entrepreneurial activity

BENEFICIARIES

Unemployed people registered as jobseeker in the Employment

Public Services till the day they entry in the Special Regime of

Social Security System for Self-Employers and decide to start-up

an economic or professional activity by their own in order to

develop its entrepreneurial activity in the Principality of Asturias by

a minimum period of 3 years

REQUIREMENTS

It is necessary to make a minimum investment of 5,000 euros in

tangible fixed assets and the business project must count with the

favourable report of feasibility, developed through business centres

located in the Principality of Asturias,
