2011:Bangui
Established in 2008 with temporary and transitional headquarters in Brussels
Rector Touadera, a key actor in the creation of EUCLID, becomes Prime Minister in 2008
2010: Prime Minister Touadera (after due process) signs EUCLID convention
2011: EUCLID headquarters agreement signed with office space at University of Bangui CRM and Prime Minister’s Petroca Towe
2013: Necessary relocation
December 2012: instability begin in north of Central African Republic, affecting Bangui in 2013.
Gambia (Participating State in 2012) begins discussion with EUCLID regarding possible relocation of headquarters to Banjul
EUCLID high level delegation travels to Gambia in 2013
New HQ Agreement
The headquarters agreement with The Gambia is more comprehensive than the one signed with the Central African Republic (which remains in force)
It is a two part agreement: one part signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding EUCLID’s diplomatic status as a treaty-organization, the second part is signed by the Minister of Higher Education regarding EUCLID’s university status in The Gambia.
