The Summit was inaugurated by Honorable Vice Chairman - I.T.S The Education Group - Shri. Arpit Chadha and Chief Guest - Shri. Romy Chopra, Sr. Vice President, NIIT Technologies. The gathering was addressed by these eminent

Guests during the inaugural session. The summit witnessed a grand success and attracted huge participation. Approximately 170 delegates including students (BCA & MCA Course), delegates and invited guests visited ITS, Mohan Nagar Campus for this summit. The summit was planned in three different sessions including the inaugural session. These sessions were dedicated on different dimensions of employability issues including technical, behavioral & HR issues at global perspective.

In Session-1 experts from leading IT companies discussed & deliberated on Techno-HR issues related to IT industry. The panel included Sri. Aditya Sharma, Global Head - Innovations, Birlasoft Solutions, Sri. Vikas Tripathi, Sr. Hr Manager, TCS, Sri. Rajdeep Paul, Sr. Project Manager, SOPRA Group, Ms. Swati Mehra, BI Consultant, NIIT Ltd., Mr. Arun Bhatnagar, Director - SoftPark21. Session-2 was dedicated on “Technical Dimension related to Graduating IT Professionals”. The panel included Mr. Ajay Agrawal, CEO, BM Engineers, Mr. Kamal Dodeja, Global Support Head, ORACLE Corp., Mr. Amit Panwar, Solution Architect, SAP Labs, Mr. Vikas Sharma, Sr. Program Manager, WIPRO Technologies and Mr. Sateesh Rai, Sr. Product Architect, TCS. IT Summit-2015 witnessed high class of deliberations and discussions.

National HR Seminar on “Unleashing Human Capital in the Era of Disruptive Innovation”September 19, 2015

Arpit Chadha, Chief Guest, Mr. G.P. Rao, Management Advisor & Motivational Speaker, Founder, GPHR Consulting, Key Note Speaker Dr. Kavita Singh, Professor, OB, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University (DU), Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management, Dr. Anita Mathew, Professor, OB/HR & Convenor HR Seminar for the lighting of lamp and floral welcome to the Resource Speakers of the session. First there was the Inaugural Session where the experts presented their views on the topic and then

there was a panel discussion on “Career vs Compensation-Perspectives of Millenials”. The Panelists were Mr. Rajnish Jhulka, Founder-Thought @ Work, Mr. Indranil Gupta, CEO & Director- Meritt Consultants, Mr. Manmohan Bhutani, Head-HR & VP-Business Operations, American Cyber Systems (ACS) Inc. and Mr.Kaushik Chakraborty, Director-HR, Business Partner, Head-L&D, Jones Lang LaSalle.

The third session was also a Panel Discussion on “Changing Paradigm of Recruitment” with experts being Ms. Wilma Dadel Gupta, Director & Principal Consultant, Qwest HR

Services Mr. Yuvraj Bhatnagar, Global Leader (AVP), Talent Acquisition, Evalueserve, Mr. Arunav Bannerjee, President and Chief Researcher, Mr. Prateek Dubey, Head-HR, Coca Cola and Mr. Murleedhar Sharma, Director-HR, RJ Corp.

The Seminar was also graced by alumnus of ITS, Mr. Arnab Mustafi (EA - MD) Eastman Auto & Power Ltd., faculty members and industry representatives from across NCR. The Seminar concluded with the valedictory session and a vote of thanks by Dr. Anita Mathew.

Inaugural Ceremony of Industry Academia Interface Program with Sopra India September 19, 2015

n inaugural session of industry academia

Ainterface program of I.T.S with Sopra was held on 19th September, 2015. Mr.

Mayank Mamgain and Mr. Girish Aggarwal from Sopra were present in the session. Closing ceremony of the same program for the previous batch students of MCA (2014-15) was also held on same day. Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, congratulated previous batch students for successfully completing the project. All the 25 students of previous batch were given certificates. Mr. Gireesh Aggarwal motivated the new students to work efficiently in this project. Mr. Mayank explained roadmap to conduct this program. He told what the expectations of the industry are from fresher students. Mr. Mayank also told about several dates of sessions and milestones. Event ended with a formal vote of thanks. students visited Yakult Danone, Sonepat to get an industry exposure accompanied by faculty members Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Prof. Rashi Agarwal, Dr. Anita Mathew and Prof. Bhavana Bhardwaj and Mr. Ishminder Bahl for MBA students and Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Vijesh Jain and Prof. Neetu Purohit for PGDM students. The students found the visit a very enriching experience as they got several insights not only into the production process but also the various other corporate aspects viz, the concept, origin, marketing strategy and operations management.

Industry Visit for PGDM (2014-16) Batch & MBA (2015-17) Batch Students to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., SonipatOctober 5 & October 16, 2015

Industry Visit by UG CampusNovember 09, 2015An industry visit was organized to Yakult for BBA and BCA first year students on November 9, 2015. The visit provided students a practical insight about the functioning of the plant. Students also got the opportunity to interact with the staff of Yakult .They witnessed the entire processing from manufacturing to Yakult bottling and preparation of probiotic milk. They also apprised the students about various processes undertaken in manufacturing of probiotic milk, its health benefits and its increasing market share especially in countries of U.S and Europe. In the end, Students were also given free sample of Yakult-probiotic milk.

November 19, 2015An industry visit was organized to Parle – G for BBA and BCA final year students on November 19, 2015. The visit provided students a practical insight to the functioning of the plant. Students also got the opportunity to interact with the staff of Parle -G and witnessed the entire processing of manufacturing of Biscuits, toffees and chips. The visit was highly informative and interactive. In the end, students were also given free sample of chips manufactured by them. The visit was highly informative and interactive, the students felt extremely encouraged.

Department of IT Organized “CEO Meet-2015” with Grand SuccessOctober 17, 2015

he first CEO Meet, probably the first in any Academic Institute, was Theld on Saturday, 17th October, 2015 at the Institute by Department of IT. The event was formally inaugurated in the gracious presence

of eminent guests including Dr. M.M. Pant - Former Pro- Vice Chancellor – IGNOU and Founder Chairman – Planet EDU, Sri. Pankaj Dubey - Managing Director, Polaris, Sri. Deepak Bhatia – Former COO, Infosys BPO, Sri. Anurag Gour – Director (Marketing), Microsoft India, Vice Chairman – I.T.S The Education Group, Sri. Arpit Chadha and Convener of CEO Meet & Director (IT) of the Institute, Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey. About 500+ delegates including guests from Industry, Academia and students attended the event. The event was divided in three consecutive sessions where eminent speakers addressed and interacted with the gathering.

Session-1 Eminent guests and speakers were present in the first session of CEO Meet-2015. Dr. M.M. Pant spoke on the theme “Indian IT Industry: Future Ahead”. Audience were totally engrossed by the way Dr. Pant presented the picture in his words. Sri. Pankaj Dubey, The Managing Director – Polaris, touched upon the area of applications of Information Technology tools and services in improving business processes and functions. In the context of automobile industry, Sri. Dubey talked about the usage and applications of GPS Systems there.

Sri. Deepak Bhatia, former COO – Infosys BPO and Vice President – HCL Technologies, spoke on applications of Healthcare Education. Sri. Anurag Gour said that the ways world is changing, the future will see new advancements and very new type of challenges.

On this occasion of CEO Meet, a Souvenir book was also released in the presence of eminent guests. Souvenir comprised of messages from Honorable Home Minister Shri. Rajnath Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charges) for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, Padma Bhushan (Dr.) & Founder CEO, Former Dy. Chairman and past President – NASSCOM Dr. F.C Kohli, Director (MIR) Research Labs, Aruban, Washington, USA and Articles from practicing professionals of leading IT organizations.

Session 2:Second session of the event was themed on “Technology Roadmap for Inclusive Growth”. In this session following speakers addressed and interacted with the gathering:1. Sri. Session 3:Third session of the CEO Meet was kept on the theme “Integration of Technology with Digital India Mission”. Following guests shared their vision, thoughts and views in this session:1. Sri. n open house career counseling & guidance session “PARAMARSH-2015” for BCA 5th Semester Students was conducted by MCA

AAlumni. The objective of this session was to provide an opportunity to existing BCA 5th Semester Students of UG Campus, to meet & interact with the MCA alumni serving in leading organizations and get their queries resolved. Around 50 students of BCA Vth semester

actively participated in this session. The expert panelists were the 6 I.T.S-MCA alumni including Mr. Vikas Sharma(2000) - Wipro, Mr. Yudhisthir Singh (2006) - Nokia, Mr. Ali Hasan(2010) - Fiserv Inc., Ms. Archana (2013) - Siemens, Mr. Amit Aggrawal (2013) - MKS Techno Infotech , Gautam Bagga (2015) – Wipro. Students interacted and asked a lot of queries related to various career options after BCA. All queries were nicely addressed by experts. The session was enjoyed and appreciated by all the participants.

anagement Department of I.T.S Ghaziabad organized National Marketing MLeadership Conclave on “Reorienting Marketing: Roadmap for Sustainable Growth” on 26th, 27th & 28th November, 2015. The marketing conclave

started with the welcome address by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management, jointly inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Kashyap, MD, MART Rural, as a Chief Guest and Mr. David Whittenberg, CEO, Innovation Workgroup as a keynote speaker.

First day of the conclave was full of prize winning competitive events such as Marketing Quiz, Marketing Plan, Poster Making, Digital Campaign and Retail Outlet presentation strategy. Second day of the event witnessed more than 15 companies including Dabur, Parle, Himalaya, Oxford Publication, Live Pure, Royal Enfield, Bisleri, Royal India Vacation, Punjab National Bank and many more.

Third day started with the motivational speech by Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group and the address of industry experts including Mr. Amit Doshi, COO, DNA (Dainik Bhaskar Group), Ahmedabad and Mr Nitish Kumar Rai, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King. The first forum interaction was on the theme “Digitalization vs Traditional Marketing Practices”. Mr. Kishore Chakraborty, Sr. VP McCann Ericsson was the moderator for the session. Mr. Vinayak Lal, GM, DS Group, Mr. Amit Sahani, Regional Sales Head – Bagrrys, Mr. Kalyan Kumar, Director - Infuse Media & Mr. Aditya Kayastha, Group. Brand Head, Dabur were the other panel members. The second forum interaction was on the theme “Rural vs Urban Marketing Landscape: A Question of Sustainability”.

Mr. Mohan Krishnan, Sr. V P, IMRB, Mr. Vivek Malhotra, Sr. VP, Idea Cellular, Dr Ravindra Singh, GM, Chambal Fertilizers, and Mr. Anirban Chaudhuri, Director, Fobulka were the panelist. The conclave concluded with a valedictory session where participants who secured first, second and third positions in various competitive events were awarded with winner, first runner up and second runner up trophies and certificates.

Management Department organized National Marketing Leadership Conclave on “Reorienting Marketing: Roadmap for Sustainable Growth” November 28, 2015

A grand fresher’s party “AARAMBH-2015” was organized by senior PGDM (2014-16) Batch for the new PGDM (2015-17) Batch students on 7th Aug 2015. The event started with the lamp lighting by Director Management, Dr. Sapna Rakesh and other faculty members. Jayjita and

Sonali of PGDM (2015-17) Batch recited Saraswati Vandana which was followed by an array of colourful programs such as solo dance by Dwiti, Aanchal Grover with songs and instrumental performances by Abhishek Das, Aritra Basu, Jayjita Sarkar, Neha Pant, Animesh Sarswat and Manoj Sharma. Then there was most awaited Fashion Show based on the theme of “Smart Corporate Walk” where 12 pairs competed for Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher. Aanchal Grover won the Miss Fresher’s crown & title and Manoj Sharma became Mr. Fresher. The talent of the evening award went to Abhishek Das and Jayjita Sarkar. The show ended with the prize distribution ceremony. After the event there was a dinner party and great DJ night enjoyed by the students.

‘AARAMBH 2015’: Fresher’s party for PGDM (2015-17) Batch Students

A 4 days orientation programme for MBA (2015-17) Batch was organized by Management Department from 17th August to 20th August, 2015. On the first day registration, document verification and medical check- up was done. On day 2 formal

inaugural of the programme was done with Mr. Amit Roy, Chief Financial Officer, NIIT Technologies as the Chief Guest for the session, Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management and Dr. S. Bhattacharya, Vice Principal UG being present for the ceremony. After inaugural session, students were made familiar with the resources related to Registrar Office, Library, IT services, Corporate Resource Centre by the respective department heads. Post lunch a guest lecture by Mr. Neeraj Malik, National Sales head, TCS was organized. Later an “Ice Breaking Session” was organized by faculty members, Dr. Anita Mathews, Dr. D.K Pandey and Dr. Charu Chaudhary. On 3rd day the students were asked to state their expectations from the course. Dr. V.N Bajpai. Prof. C.K Sabharwal and Prof. Shikha Arora were the facilitators of the session. After the session, Prof. C.K Sabarwal and Prof. Durba Roy took session specifying expectations of

industry from MBA graduates. On the last day, Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management discussed the expectations the Institute has from the students and also motivated the students to fulfill them.

Orientation Programme for MBA (2015-17) Batch Students August 17-20, 2015

Newly admitted 19th Batch of MCA Program was inaugurated on 19th August, 2015 at the Institute. Renowned Scientist, Academician, Researcher & Former Pro-Vice Chancellor IGNOU, Prof. M.M. Pant was invited as the Chief Guest during the inaugural session of the event. In his address, Prof. M M Pant emphasized on the need of focusing on fundamentals. He said that industry has huge requirement of IT Professionals but the employable resource is a big challenge. The orientation program comprised of the sessions on Personality Traits, Communication, Interpersonal Skills, Session on IT, Data Structure, foundation for computer science etc. The program completed on 22nd August, 2015 and concluded with a formal gathering and interaction with parents, MCA alumni, students, faculty and students of existing batches.

Activities

I.T.S UG Campus organized Orientation Program for BBA & BCA (2015-2018) Batch on September 3, 2015 & September 4, 2015. The two days program enabled students in their transition to College Life. The events introduced students to college services which would support their educational and personal goals. Chief Guest for the session, Mr. Bratin Chakravorty, VP, OSS Cube Solutions emphasized the importance of having the right attitude and developing a sense of responsibility during their journey of graduation of learning and development at I.T.S. Guest of honor, Mr. Kapil Sanghi, IT Program Manager, Birla Soft, shared various examples and practical knowledge with the students, to spark the creativity and out of the box thinking. He also apprised the students about the new developments in IT sector. Other notable speakers were Mr. David Wittenberg, CEO, Innovations Work Group and Mr. Riyaz Khan, Rtd. Col. Staff Development Programme was conducted by faculty members Prof. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and Dr. Charu Chaudhary for the staff members of I.T.S Engineering College and I.T.S. Dental College, Greater Noida on 22nd August and 29th November respectively. The theme of SDP was

‘Service Orientation and Professional Excellence’. The SDP in I.T.S Engineering college was inaugurated by its Director, Dr. Vineet Kansal. He wished the participants a great learning and fun. Dr. Charu took sessions on ‘Service Orientation’ while Prof. Gopal elaborated the nuances of ‘Professional Excellence’. A variety of tools were used for the effective training and sharing the various aspects of the theme where staff members showed unprecedented interest. Videos on Japanese Culture, innovative customer care and infections of anger and happiness not only attracted the participants but also generated a lot of learning out of discussions after the videos. At the end of the SDP, the staff members shared their experiences and takeaways. Finally the SDP, packed with fun, learning and games concluded with the valedictory session.

‘Entrepreneurship Orientation’ Program by Entrepreneurship CellSeptember 1-2, 2015 & October 28-29, 2015

For creating awareness about ‘entrepreneurship’ the Management Department of the Institute organized two days ‘Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme’ in association with NIESBUD (National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, an Autonomous

Institute Under Ministry of SDE, GOI) for PGDM and MBA students on 1st and 2nd September and 28th and 29th October respectively. A total of 220 students from PGDM and 300 students from MBA along with faculty members participated in the program. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr Pradeep K. Jaisingh, Founder, Healthstart, Dr. S.P. Mishra, Advisor I.T.S. The Education Group, Mr. B.K. Arora, Secretary, I.T.S. The Education Group and Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management.

The experts Dr. Rishi Raj Singh, Director Training, NIESBUD, Noida and Ms. Renu Bajpai, President, USD Consortium Delhi, discussed the various aspects, challenges and opportunities in becoming of an entrepreneur. There was also a panel discussion with Mr. A.K. Singh, Lead Business Manager, Syndicate Bank, Noida, Mr. Govind Sharma, Ex Head NRDC, Delhi, Ms. Shampa Banerjee, Executive Director, WASME and Ms Parul Puri, Advisor, NIESBUD where the panelists discussed the various financial and non financial support systems. Two days program was a great learning for all students where they participated with full enthusiasm and great zeal.

Java Programming Contest-SANRACHNA-15September 11, 2015

Java Club of Department of IT organized an intra-institutional Programming Contest “SANRACHNA-2015” for MCA III Semester and BCA V Semester students. The event was an on-the-spot Java programming contest, which consists of two rounds. The first round was screening round and comprised of an online Java quiz test. Top 70 students were short-listed for the next round. The next round was the final round which comprised of on-the-spot Java programming. The event was judged by experts and winners of contest were shortlisted. Total 15 students were finally selected for felicitation. There were 5 Winner Prizes and 10 Appreciation Prizes for Sanrchana. Top three winners were rewarded with Trophy, Certificate and book of Java programming. Next two winners at 4th and 5th positions were rewarded with Certificate and Book and next ten winners from 6th position to 15th position were rewarded with certificate of appreciation.

“INCEPTION- 2015” a fresher’s party for MBA (2015-17) Batch was organized by senior batch of MBA on 18th September, 2015. The event started with the blessings of Lord Ganesh by chanting Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management along with management faculty members. Senior batch and junior batch together presented various stunning performances with their skit, songs and dance along with a much awaited ramp walk. Mr. Ashutosh and Ms Nitika Singh from MBA (2015-17) Batch, were crowned as Mr. Fresher and Ms Fresher respectively. “Anubhav-2015”: A Summer Internship Project Compet i t ion Organized by Management DepartmentSeptember 26, 2015

Management Department of the Institute organized its 2nd Summer Internship Project Competition “Anubhav -2015” in association with Ghaziabad Management Association and Parley India on 26th September 2015. Event was a big hit as more than 70 participants from various management institutions of NCR, UP, Haryana, Uttaranchal shared their presentations based on their experiences and learning during internship. Dr. Deepak Singh, Dean Academics, Jaipuria Institute, Noida, Dr. Arvind Singh, Professor, Raj Kumar Goyal Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad, Dr. Bhawana Garg, Professor from INMANTECH Ghaziabad and Abhinav Sharma from Valvoline were judges for the competition.

Prof Punam Sahgal, Dean, IIM Lucknow, Noida Campus was the Chief Guest. Mr. Vinay Gupta, Executive Director, GMA was also present on the occasion. Swati Mittal (Finance) from AKGIM Ghaziabad, Pranjan Srivastava (Marketing) from Jaipuria Institute of Management Noida, Shreya (HR) from GL Bajaj Greater Noida, S. Ram Chandra (Operations) from MSM, Meerut were declared category winners. All these winners were awarded with certificate, cash prize of Rs.5000/-, Winning Trophy from Parle and Gift Hamper from Bagrrys each.

Dental Check-Up Camp for BBA and BCA 1st Year StudentsOctober 31, 2015A dental check-up camp was organized for BBA and BCA I year students on Oct 31, 2015 with an aim to foster the need for dental health among young generation and cultivate dental hygiene for a healthy future. More than 300 students were checked during the camp on various facets like eye check-up, physiotherapy, physical examination etc besides dental examining. Various ways of maintaining dental health were also guided by the doctors to the students.

“Spardha-2015”-C Programming ContestOctober 09, 2015C Club of Department of IT, I.T.S - Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized an intra-institutional event Spardha-2015 for MCA & BCA Students of the Institute. Through this event, C Club @ ITS provided a competitive platform to the participating students. Spardha-2015 had two rounds. The preliminary round of the event was an online quiz based on C programming concepts. More than 150 students of BCA and MCA participated in this round of event. Based on their performance, students were shortlisted for next two parallel rounds namely C Programming Contest & C Debugging Contest. There was a healthy competition among all participants at each level of event.

Birthday Celebrations of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam October 15, 2015Department of IT celebrated the birthday of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, Renowned Scientist & Academician on 15th October, 2015. Director(IT), Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey remembered and narrated the achievements of Dr. Kalam. At the end of event one online quiz was also conducted on Dr. Kalam wherein students of MCA participated and won prizes.

Orientation Programme for PGDM (2015-17) Batch 2nd Trimester StudentsOctober 19, 2015Before the commencement of 2nd trimester of (PGDM 2015-17) Batch, Management Department of the Institute organized an orientation program on 19th October, 2015. The program started with distribution of visiting cards to students. Director Management, Dr. Sapna Rakesh addressed the students where she made them realize the changes they have gone through in the last three months and how much more hard-work is expected from them in the future. She also shared her desire to create the best managers rather than the average managers. Later during the day there was an out bond workshop by Dr. Puneet Mohan, corporate trainer for leadership activity programmes along with an Ice Breaking session and management games.

Post lunch, a session on “business etiquettes” was held in the auditorium by Prof. Lalit Kumar Sharma. The session focused on how business etiquettes are different from social etiquettes. Some important topics of discussions were on business e-mails, handshake, dining manners, visiting card, dress code and telephone skills. The students not only enjoyed the activities but also took home valuable lessons learnt along with the professional visiting cards with the title of “Student manager”.

Orientation Programme for PGDM (2014-16) Batch 5th Trimester Students October 19, 2015Before the commencement of 5th trimester of PGDM (2014-16) Batch, the Institute organized orientation program on 19th October, 2015. The orientation programme was conducted in the form of a closed room workshop conducted by Mr. Surya Bahadur from Confluence Consulting Agency with an objective to prepare students ahead of their placement activities.

Mr. Surya started the session with showing the way of introducing oneself in the corporate world. Then he focused on different questions asked in the session by the students. He described about four dimensions where a student should focus on throughout the life i.e, Intelligent Quotient, Physical Quotient, Emotional Quotient and Spiritual Quotient. Students were made aware of multi dimensions of EQ and briefed about how to

handle each and bring about changes in personality. The students enjoyed a day full of enriching experiences.

International Study Tour for I.T.S. PGDM Students to SingaporeOctober 30-November 04, 2015Twenty nine students from PGDM (2014-16) Batch along with one faculty member and one staff member visited Singapore as a part of their six days International Study Immersion between 30th October to 4th November 2015. On the first day, the students had a city tour of Singapore which included Marina Bay, Orchard Road, Flyer, Port of Singapore and Chocolate factory. In the evening, students visited world famous Night Safari of Singapore followed by live fire shows at the safari park.

The second day, students visited New Water Plant as a part of Industrial Visit, then had Sentosa Island tour which included Underwater World, Dolphin Lagoon, WOT and Beach of Sentosa Island. Students also had the opportunity of watching Laser Show at Beach Station. Third Day students had full fun and enjoyment at Universal Studio, which is a world famous theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island. Students enjoyed different rides and live shows in the Universal Studio. The fourth day, students proceeded for National Library and spent time reading books and other literature related to Singapore. Post lunch, students were set free to shop in Mustafa Mall. The next day was a flight back to India and students returned with wonderful memories to be cherished forever.

Study Abroad Tour to Dubai by BBA and BCA Students November 29-December 02, 2015I.T.S UG campus organized study abroad tour to Dubai, for BBA and BCA students from November 29, 2015 to December 2, 2015. The four days’ trip provided a platform to enhance students learning opportunities, foster personal growth and to develop deeper knowledge and understanding of culture through cross cultural immersion.

Dubai, the city of dreams, is known for its world class tourism, luxury shopping, ultra modern architecture, monuments and other magnificently tailored destinations. The students visited the famous Burj Khalifa, Atlantis Palm, Jumeraha beach, the world’s largest Dubai mall and had thrilling experience at Desert Safari. The students also visited the Royal Crown food manufacturing LLC, at Al-quasis industrial area. The trip has been informative, learning oriented and enjoyable for the students.

QUIZ WHIZ 2015 – 5th Inter School Quiz Competition November 04, 2015I.T.S Mohan Nagar organized the Grand Finale of Quiz Whiz- 5thInter School Quiz competition on November 04, 2015.This mega quiz competition is organized every year for the students of Class XI and XII to provide them with an opportunity to exhibit their team spirit & talent, in their hunt for triumph.

The grand finale witnessed participation from around 178 schools across Delhi/NCR with 485 students vying for the honors. The quiz comprised of three levels, in which the teams of 178 schools participated in the first round. Out of them the teams of 24 schools qualified for the semi-final round. Finally, after several rounds of gruelling, the teams of 8 school competed with each other for the Ist¸2nd and 3rd position respectively.

The theme for the competition was “Make In India”. The quiz master for the Grand Finale was Mr. Kunal Savarkar, a distinguished name in the quizzing world and his team from Xpress Minds. The school that bagged the first position was Delhi Public School, Noida, the students of Vivekananda School, Delhi bagged the second position and the team

The distinguished guests for the Grand Finale “Quiz- Whizz 2015”, Inaugural were Mr. Rannvijay Singh, winner of MTV Roadies. Mr. K.M Prashanth- AGM, Corporate Communications, NTPC was the Chief Guest for the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Finance Quiz Competition organized by Finvest Club for PGDM StudentsSeptember 09, 2015

On 9th of September, 2015, Finvest Club organized Finance Quiz competition which was held for all PGDM students. For the selection of participants for the event, there was a screening round on the 8th of September. Out of the 26 participating teams, only 8 final teams were selected for final Quiz. Then on 9th September final quiz with four rounds was conducted. First round consisted of key terms identification, second round consisted of logo identification, third round consisted of personality identification and the fourth round consisted of technical questions.

After an interesting quiz with tie breaking sessions, First Prize went to team of Rohit Thakur and Shivani Sharma, Second Prize to Ravinandan and Manoj Kumar Sharma and the Third Prize was awarded to Arif Hussain and Sanjay. Not only were the teams, even audience engaged in the quiz. They were also asked the questions and those who ever gave the answer, was awarded with a chocolate. At the conclusion of the event Director Management Dr. Sapna Rakesh give away the certificates and trophies to the winners. Quiz Competition organized by HR Club for PGDM StudentsSeptember 16, 2015

HR club organized its first event in the new academic session on 16th September, 2015 in auditorium under the guidance of HR Club Coordinator, Prof. Shikha Arora. The event started with an

introduction of HR Club by club members, Anchala Srivastava and Shilpi Dubey. All student co-ordinators of HR Club were introduced through video and the purpose of the club along with the activities scheduled for PGDM students in the trimester.

A total of 23 teams participated in the club activity and each team consisted of 4 members. There were three rounds with first round of ‘Quiz’, second round of ‘Ball in the Basket’ and Dumb Charades being the last round. The concept was explained to students by the HR Club student coordinators through a presentation. 1st Round was Quiz round in which 20 questions were there for the participants.10 teams were selected for 2nd round which consisted of ‘Ball in the Basket’, 3 baskets were there and each team got 6 chances to throw the ball in the basket from the back side at different distances and the marks were fixed according to the distance. The third and the final round was ‘Dumb Charades’-the phrases were written on the slips and one member from each team picked up a slip and whatever was written he/she had to explain via non-verbal communication.

The members of winning team were Swati Sharma, Jatin Khanna, Pawanchauhan and Ansh Gupta. Members of the Runner up team were Neha Pant, Animesh Saraswat, Prashant Singh and Amaan Siddiqui. All student teams participated in the activities with lot of enthusiasm and the audience was actively engaged throughout the activity as there were question rounds for the audience as well. Winnners were awarded with trophies and the runner-up team members were given prizes.

IB club ‘Glocai’ organized an Extempore on ‘International Business’September 30, 2015An IB club activity was organized an extempore competition on 30th September, 2015 in which 15 students participated. The extempore was based on the recent topics in International Business where the participants were given 30 seconds to think and 2 minutes to speak. The students presented their views with valuable inputs and great enthusiasm. The first award went to Anshul Dhaka from PGDM (2015-17) Batch. Prof. Namita Dixit was the judge and Dr. Vijesh Jain was the faculty coordinator for the event.

Marketing Club organized “Marvellous Games: Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto”October 14, 2015On October 14, 2015 students of M.B.A program witnessed the zeal of achievement during the event named “Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto” organized by ‘Marrecus line’, the marketing club of the Institute. The event saw great enthusiasm from participating students. Total thirty-six teams registered themselves for participation for the initial round, out of which only ten teams got selected for round second which was the “blind speak” round. The theme of blind speak was concentrated towards modern contemporary issues in marketing and sales. It was a stage of anxiety for all when the anchors announced the winner of round 2nd, where only six teams got their final selection for final round i.e. round 3rd. Round third was design to flourish the critical thinking hat of their wisdom by endorsing them to different theme based presentation.

The first winning team was of Vivek Vishal & Aayush Gupta, second winning team declared was of Akash Kumar and Sarthak Sachdeva and the third winning team of Akashdeep and Ashutosh Kumar. The consolation prize was won by Shubham, Vimal, Aditiya & Rashu. The gracious and benign presence of Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management along with faculty members Dr. A. P. The event witnessed huge participation from students from both courses and the faculties extend their full support to them. Muskan Abbasi from BCA 3rd year won the first prize, Iqura Khatoon from BBA 1st year won the second prize and Priyanka Sharma from BCA 2nd year won third prize, respectively. ENTREPENERSHIP CELLNovember 21, 2015I.T.S - UG Campus organized Business Idea Competition on “Innovator - Who Thinks Differently” on 21st Nov, 2015. The event aimed at igniting young minds to showcase their innovative ideas and also to nurture their creative skills. The event witnessed participation from more than 16 students divided into 9 teams. The students from both BBA/BCA course participated in this competition. Amongst the participants, Ms. Anjali Bhatnagar from BBA Ist year won the first prize whereas Mr. Sushant Pandit from BBA and another group from BCA secured the 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.

FINE ARTS CLUBNovember 30, 2015Fine Art club organized a Poster Making Competition on “Share a little, care a little – Donate Blood” for BBA/BCA students, on 30th November, 2015. The objective behind this competition was to bring out the creativity and imagination of the students, through making posters and to give a platform to the students for showing their talent. . Total 31 students participated in the event and amongst them Keshav Sachdeva & Akshita Garg from BCA 2nd year won the 1st Prize, Rashika Garg & Priyanka Sharma from BCA 2nd t year won 2nd Prize, Amit Mandal and Ujjwal Singh from BCA 3rd year won the 3rd Prize. Winner students were awarded Certificates & Rs. 500/- , Rs. 300/- & Rs. 200/- for 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes respectively. All the participants were awarded participation certificates too.

TECHNO TRIX CLUBTechno trix club of I.T.S - UG Campus is organizing a quiz in Computers Fundamentals named “Aadhar”. The main purpose of this event was to judge the basic conceptual knowledge of computer operation and its programmes among our BCA First year students.

SPORTS CLUBI.T.S UG Campus organised Athletic Meet - 2015, 2nd Intra Institute Sports Event with an aim to encourage sportsman spirit and camaraderie among the students. The event hosted various sports like 50 meter race for girls, 400 meter relay race for Boys, short put, cricket Ball throw, Hop jump, spoon race, tug of war, Musical Chair etc. The event was organized with the help of expertise of Dr. Soumendu Bhattacharya, Vice Principal UG campus and Mr. Rajinder Singh Chawla, Sports Officer. The event concluded on second day with prize distribution and with a promising note to the young sports enthusiasts.

Workshop on “Quality Engineering: Testing Trends & Automation” September 12, 2015 A workshop on “Quality Engineering: Testing Trends & Automation” was organized by CSI Student Branch @ ITS, Dept. of IT, ITS, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad on 12th September, 2015 in Lab-6 during 09:30 am – 01:30 pm for the students of MCA (V-Sem). Mr. Amit Pandey, Project Lead-UHG along with Mr. Pradeep Porwal, Team Lead – Incedo, were invited to conduct the Workshop. The students got an insight on various software testing trends and a hands-on experience of automation testing.

Workshop on Objective-CSeptember 24, 2015A workshop on Objective-C was conducted for MCA 5th Semester students. Mr. Vijay Rastogi, Director Sissoft Technologies, was the resource person for the workshop. Mr. Rastogi briefed about Objective C and also gave a practical demonstration of theoretical concepts. Session was very much participative and interactive. Students were highly benefited at the end of the workshop. Around 50 students participated in the workshop.

IT Workshop on “A Step Towards Digital Foot Printing”September 26, 2015On 26th September, 2015, IT workshop titled “A Step towards Digital Foot Printing” was conducted by Management Department of the Institute. The resource person for the workshop was Prof. Rakesh Roshan, faculty, IT Department. The faculty introduced the students with a completely new feature of google account and also trained them on “How to create their own website through gmail accounts”

Creating website is, generally, considered to be a difficult task and it is believed that it requires professional help. However, Prof. Rakesh showed how easy it is to create one’s own space on the web. Gmail account comes with a feature of creating sites. Various templates are available based on different categories. The outlook and contents of the website can be edited on the basis of nature of website. These websites can be used to share one’s portfolio, thoughts or any event a person wants to popularize. Students were also showed that how they can create their Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the website. Also, the website itself has to be shared so that more people know of it. Number of such websites can be created. Prof. Kapil Mohan Garg and Prof Alok Singh took the initiative to organize the workshop for enhancing student’s knowledge. The students found the workshop very informative and it surely was a great success.

Workshop on “Social Media Data Analytics” for PGDM (2014-16) BatchOctober 17, 2015On 17th of October, 2015, Mr Anant Saxena, Senior Business Analyst, Evalueserve, Gurgaon took a half day workshop on business data analytics and social media data analytics. Mr. Anant shared his vast knowledge in the field of data analytics and he also taught the students how to analyze the data from various social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. He also shared the websites where management students can visit to know the trends of data analytics. He also discussed the types of social media, tools for social media analysis, social media data extraction, data management and analysis. The software that are used for data analytics are Sysomos, Radian6, Salesforce, Adobe Omniture, Plus One social, Social Mention, Hoot Site, Klout and Cyfe. He also shared the ways of importing those data into excel and then analyzing it with another tool named as R Studio. The workshop turned out to be a great learning experience for all the students

Workshop on Java and AndroidOctober 15-16, 2015CRC-IT in association with Dot Net Club of Department of IT organized a two day workshop on “Java and Android SDK” for the students of MCA and BCA final year. Workshop was conducted by Mr. Dhiraj Pathak (Sr. Software Engineer) and Mr. Nadeem Ahmad (Software Engineer) form CEBS Pvt. Ltd. Noida. Students actively participated in this workshop. Mr. Anuraj Dubey, HR Head of CEBS Pvt. Ltd. Noida conducted a special career counseling session which was focused on the importance of soft skills and behavioral aspects of candidates in the recruitment process of IT companies.

SEBI Sponsored Workshop on Financial Literacy and AwarenessNovember 23, 2015I.T.S UG Campus organized SEBI Sponsored Workshop on Financial Literacy and Awareness on 23rd November 2015. The objective of the workshop was to spread basic financial awareness among students, in order to make sound financial decisions. The Securities and Exchange Board of India has been making sustained efforts to spread financial literacy to assist students in making informed judgments and to take effective decisions regarding the use and management of money. More than 180 Students of BBA II and III year attended this workshop. The workshop addressed important areas highlighting the relevance of investment. It was conducted by Dr. Sharad Ranjan, Certified financial education trainer of SEBI & Associate Professor, Zakir Husain College, Delhi University.

The workshop covered various topics such as risk and returns on investments, compound interest, time value of money and many more pivotal areas. The session highlighted that the basic knowledge of finance and investment is necessary to make sound decisions. Dr. Ranjan clearly explained the ways of financial planning and management to the students. He also cited various examples for effective understanding. Students appreciated the workshop and expressed their gratitude towards the institution for its conduction. It was a learning session for the management students of I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad as they explored the relevance of financial management.

Management Department of I.T.S, Ghaziabad conducts CSR activities under two banners – Parivartan Club and Utthab Lab. Both the activities are conducted by the student volunteers under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi. ‘Parivartan’ is a Slum Education Programme under which PGDM and MBA student volunteers visit the slums every Sunday and teach the slum-children through games, activities, teaching and training. ‘Utthan Lab’ facilitates poor meritorious children studying in various small schools. These poor students are brought to the campus of I.T.S. and are taught and trained for Computer, English, Maths, GK and other fundamental essential knowledge twice in a month. At the end of each Parivartan activity, distribution of biscuits and chocolates among all the children is a routine. Besides, Parivartan and Utthan, I.T.S. conducts some other CSR activities also like Awareness Campaigns, Blood Donation Camps, Medical Checkup and Treatment Camps and Plantation Drives. The Institute has also runs a residential school ‘Yashoda Vatika’ for the underprivileged girl child.

DISHA – A SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB: A CSR Initiative of the UG CampusDISHA – A SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB of I.T.S – UG campus has been conducting an “Education Programme for Under-Privileged Children” in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad on weekly basis. Such children are imparted elementary education including Hindi and English alphabets, numbers from 1 to 100 etc. The children are also encouraged to maintain personal hygiene in these sessions. The objective behind conducting such sessions is to give basic education to under-privileged children.

Donation CampA ‘Donation Camp’ was organized to collect stationery items like pens, pencils, sharpeners and eraser along with books such as story books, color books, basic algebra and alphabet books, clothes, toys etc. for under-privileged children from 6th -7th Oct, 2015 to meet their basic requirements. Students from BBA and BCA along with faculties made their contributions in this noble cause.

Two faculty members from Department of IT, Dr. Umang Singh & Prof. Puja Dhar were invited to judge “ECOMIT 2015: Raising Day Celebration” at Army Public School, Noida. The event has various contests. The contest “Presentation Knack” was based on the themes “Waste Management” and “My Contribution for Developing India”. Programming (Junior) contest was based on questions on Q Basic and C++. Another programming (Senior) contest was evaluated based on Java & C++ programming. There were participants from different schools of Delhi & NCR area. It was an overall good experience.

Dr. Anita Mathew Attended a Two Day Workshop on “Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Skill Assessment Process Certification” September 10-11, 2015

Dr. Anita Mathew, Professor-HR, I.T.S, Ghaziabad participated in a two day workshop on Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Skill Assessment Process, organized by Forum for Emotional Intelligence Learning (FEIL) and SHRM, India on 10th and 11th September 2015 at Sofitel, Mumbai. She has been certified as an authority to administer and use ESAP for assessing Emotional Intelligence Skills, giving feedback and also use the action template of ESAP for action planning and competency development. The workshop was facilitated by ¬Dr. Ashis Sen, Head Capability Building at HPCL, Mumbai. He is a globally acclaimed facilitator and a member of Emotional Intelligence Consortium, USA, whose co-chair is Dr. Daniel Goleman. He is certied on ESAP by EI Learning Systems, USA.

Dr. Sunil Kr. Dataquest T-School Conference & Awards was an annual gathering of top technology schools in India. Chief Guest of the Event, Shri Manish Sisodia, Hon'ble Dy Chief Minister and Education Minister, Govt. of Delhi in his address said that we should try to change the scenario of the education. There was also the award ceremony titled DQ T-School Awards-2015 where awardees were felicitated under various categories.

The Chief Guest was Shri Shashi Kant Sharma, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Guest of Honour was Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General and CEO, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. The other eminent speakers included Shri Anil Kumar Sinha, Director, Central Bureau of Investigation and several other industry speakers of repute. The faculty members found the session very informative and insightful.

Objective of this event was to appreciate the efforts of the students and encourage them to improve their academic performance in a healthy competitive manner. While addressing and motivating the students, Vice Chairman, ITS-The Education Group, Sh. Arpit Chadha expressed his happiness on the performance of students and also expressed his desire to see MCA students in University Merit List.

MBA (2014-16) Batch Student Won Second Position in the National Summer Internship Contest Organized by Jaipuria Institute, Noida.November 25, 2015The management students, Ms. Poonam Das from PGDM (2014-16) Batch and Mr. Shubham Vashistha, Ms. Ankita Tripathi, Mr. Ravikant Rawal from MBA (2014-16) Batch in Summer Internship Presentation Competition “PRAKTIKOS” organized by Jaipuria Institute, Noida. Prof. Chandra Mani Sharma attended a one day National Seminar on Revolutionizing Innovations held on 31st October 2015 at IMS Ghaziabad. The seminar was an interface where the experts from industry and research organizations discussed the various innovations and breakthroughs that would shape the future of world. The seminar was themed around the key term ‘nexus of forces’ recently coined by Gartner research.

There were three technical sessions in the Seminar on Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics and Near Field Communications. Experts shared their views, research works and innovations during these sessions.
