Organizing Visit of Nuclear Facilities
for students
The N-HRD network provides to students occasions for nuclear facility visits
to broaden their horizon for nuclear engineering.
●Aim・Students will know that nuclear industries cover comprehensive work field
to supply NPP.
・Students will see advanced nuclear facilities and technology. It promotes
students to have interest in nuclear engineering.
●Facilities1, HTTR with outlet gas temp 950℃ as heat
source for the hydrogen production system

Establishment of Malaysia network
Network plays important role for N-HRD for elementary
school teachers, University students, Engineers and
Foreign engineers etc.
Network aims at all-Japan cooperation framework on N-
HRD and promotes inter-organization activities.
Network conduct many nuclear HRD activities with
national and international organizations.
Summary
30
Recommendation
Thailand has good elements for HRD networking (Unis.
Research institute, Regulating body, Electricity power
company, Nuclear Society) . Important is to work together.
Networking is good tool for effective and efficient
promotion of sustainable HRD
It is great pleasure for Japan to share the experiences of
Network with Thailand

Establishment of Nuclear HRKD National Network
in your country
31N-HRD cooperation between corresponding originations of both sides
Expected Cooperation in N-HRD network activities
between your country and Japan
28
Following points are necessary for establishment of the network
1. To determine which ministry is responsible for the network and
support financial.
2. To appoint the representative (chairman) of the network
3. To appoint the head of the secretariat of the network
Establishment of National Nuclear HRD network in your country
The most important is to clarify the HRKD problems to
be solved and how to solve it
Tasks to be done by the secretariat are as follows.
1. To list up all potential members of the network
2. To list up people potentially responsible for each project
3. To make clearer how to finance each project
4. To make clearer how many number of staff the secretariat needs and how to recruit
them
5. To schedule the first general steering meeting to discuss the ideas above
Nuclear HRD network is good tool to solve the problems effectively and efficiently
1. The most important is to clarify the HRKD
problems to be solved in your country.
2. Who will get profit by solving problem.
3. To determine which ministry or
organisation is responsible for the
network and support financial.
Summary
33
HRD of Engineers in practical stage
34
Items listed below are under going for securing nuclear safety, maintaining & improving technical capacity to support for this and systematic arrangement & visualization of efforts of the related organizations base on the lessons learned of Fukushima Daiichi accident.
CPD(Continuous Professional Development)• Comparison among academic societies, professional engineer
and certification of technical capacity by each utilities (Shikoku Electric Power Company)
Standardization of knowledge and technical capacity on daily work Information sharing on HRD towards SA response Fostering “person who can supervise total system for nuclear
safety” Countermeasures against problems on HRD of field engineers

Future Plan In JN.HRD network (selected items)
The Network reviewed how to proceed with human resource
development (2015-2016)
1. To secure career orientation in nuclear sectors for students with a
major in non-nuclear subjects
2. Human resource development toward the globalization of
nuclear fields (internationalize domestic human resources and
international human resource development)
3. Radiation education for personnel working in medical sectors
4. Risk communication and sharing information of radiation and
exposure
5. Maintain large-scale educational and research facilities such as
research reactors
6. Consider the establishment of a control tower to conduct strategic
nuclear human resource development
