    Westminster has long-established traditions, rom its earliestdays as the Royal Polytechnic Institution ounded in LondonsWest End in 1838. The University has recently completed a125 million, 12-year, renewal o its buildings, to provide amodern learning environment.

    The teaching provision across the whole University has beenapproved by the UKs Quality Assurance Agency or HigherEducation (QAA). In addition, courses in Arabic, building,Chinese, communication and media, French, housing and

    surveying, integrated health, politics and internationalrelations, psychology, subjects allied to medicine, andtourism have all been rated as excellent by the QAA.

    We are a cosmopolitan community in the heart o Europesmost diverse and vibrant capital city. O some 22,000students about 75 per cent are Bachelors level students andthe other 25 per cent are either Masters students or thoseconducting research or MPhil or PhD degrees. Our studentscome rom around 150 dierent countries.

    PROGRAMME SPECIFICATION ANDCOURSE HANDBOOKA course summary setting out what you can expect to haveachieved when you successully complete each academiclevel o your course in terms o knowledge, skills andattributes is now published in the orm o aprogramme specication.

As a user o any part o the UniversitysInormation System you are deemed to agree to abideby the policy regulations and protocols in the AcceptableUse Policy (AUP).     Established in 1990, Polylang is one o the oldest andbiggest institution-wide language programmes in theUK. The programme has been expanded each year andthere are currently about 1,000 Westminster students andnumerous members o sta taking Polylang modules.

    This section o Essential Westminster includesinormation about your fnancial commitments, aswell as guidance on the dierent orms o fnancialsupport which are available to undergraduatestudents, and advice on how to manage yourmoney during your studies.

    TUITION FEES FORTAUGHT COURSESFees are payable in ull at enrolment. However i your eesare greater than 1,500 and you are not eligible or atuition ee loan you can pay in three instalments. The frst50 per cent o the course ee must be paid at enrolment, thenext 25 per cent by 1 December, and the balance by 31January. I you are starting your course in January, 50 percent must be paid at enrolment, the next 25 per cent by 31March and the balance by 30 April.

    I you choose to pay in instalments you will be required tocomplete a orm committing yoursel to ull payment o theees. I, or any reason, you need to suspend your studies

    or withdraw rom the University, you should complete thenecessary documentation promptly; otherwise you may notbe eligible or any reund to which you may have beenentitled. Full reunds are only given in cases where youwithdraw beore the end o the temporary enrolment period(16 October or Semester One enrolments and 29 Januaryor Semester Two enrolments).

    I you are oered and accept a place at the Universityo Westminster a contract is ormed. The terms o thiscontract include the ollowing, and your acceptance o aplace is expressly subject to them. You will be requiredas a condition o enrolment to abide by the UniversitysMemorandum and Articles, Statutes, Regulations, Rules,Procedures and Codes o Conduct as amended rom timeto time under the authority o the Court o Governors or theAcademic Council.
