Happy March to all you lovely WOTM members! Shamrocks, corned beef and yes the “Noise Boys” here

thon Saturday March 17 . I hope you all plan on celebrating St Pat's Day out here at the Lodge. February was a very busy month and all events turned out very

thwell! The Yard Sale on February 4 was very successful.

This was a joint event and as usual the LOOM and the WOTM worked very well together. You should all be proud as this is not the case in all Lodges. I would especially like to thank Lydia and Phil Persails, and Myrna Taylor for the wonderful breakfast burritos they cooked on that very cold morning. Thank you to Cheryl Padilla and Heide White for helping with the bake sale. It was a cold morning! Myrna made very good coffee too! Hopefully some of you were able to make it out to the Lodge on Feb

th11 to see the Escondido Miss Moose contest. Much fun was had by all, especially the contestants. A very special thank you to Charly, Cindy and Patti, for the great job cooking dinner for the event. Other helpers for the event were Susan Huppert, Nora Williams, Sherry Eide and Lydia did the face decorating for our wonderful contestants.

thSaturday February 25 is Western Days, which is one of the big events for WOTM. When you receive this newsletter it will be all over, and hopefully you will be recalling the wonderful time had by all!The WOTM had a fair amount of new membership applications in the last few months. I would like to recognize 3 fairly new members because they have been coming to our meetings and supporting events at the Lodge. The lovely ladies are Marlene, Susan and Julie. Thank you for your support. February is heart health month and I hope all of you have a healthy heart and take good care of it! I know your hearts are caring because of all the wonderful seen and unseen volunteering you do at the Lodge. Also, speaking of Hearts, another special thank you to Charly for the lovely Valentines she did for members and also raised money for the WOTM. I will close by asking you to consider coming out to a meeting and help plan some of the many functions that take place. All ideas are welcome. Please remember to keep all our members undergoing any medical treatments in your thoughts and prayers!

Hello Again, It has been a busy month. We are still recuperating from the burglary. It will take time and a lot of help from all of you. Thanks for what you have already done. You all have been superb. The LOOM and WOTM nominating Committees are meeting and elections approach. Now is the time to throw your hat in the ring. Be involved in your Lodge and make a difference. No complaining if you don't participate!

We have had a number of very successful events that make our Lodge the place to be. The Rummage Sale, Super Bowl Party, Purse Auction, Lodge Miss Moose Run Off, Bunco, Western Days and Crafters Meeting not only were fun and also help to support the Lodge. The economy is not getting better and with the gas prices going up I am finding the cost of operations exploding. I have Dick Dunford and Mik McDonald shopping for the Lodge. They keep on top of things but tell me that costs for supplies are skyrocketing. We will do what we can to make the $$$ stretch. Just a heads up. We all need to pull together to keep our heads above water. Some people believe we are making money hand over fist. If you are one of those folks, please contact me and I will send you out with Dick and Mik. No charge just a dose of reality for free. We need your help. I need a licensed contractor to give me an estimate for repair and replacement of the safe that was stolen. If any of you fit that bill please contact me. We also need people with plumbing skills, tile setting skills and just plain old handyman skills. I have projects we could use help on. To everyone! I want to express my thanks to five members of the Lodge that really showed they had the “right stuff.” Well maybe a little more than the “right stuff.” A little lace and wiggle when they walk! Matt Deming, Bob Fleck, Bobbie Garcia, Mik McDonald and Scott Wolf put their best foot forward as Lodge Miss Moose contestants. Because of them the Lodge made some money and we had a contestant to represent us in the District Miss Moose competition. Matt Deming represented our Lodge and did a great job. Kearny Mesa stuffed the ballot box with $$ and they won. All of these men did a great job and had a wonderful attitude. The lodge owes them a standing ovation. Thank you for your efforts.

Well I better go now. I hope this helped you get to sleep.

Thanks for being the best Lodge membership in Moosedom,Dan

Remember there is to be no addition or changes to the lodge without permission from

the Board.

WHAT ROOF PROJECT?It would amaze you how many times we have heard this when visiting

Moose Homes. The answer is, over three years ago the CA/NV Association accepted, on behalf of the Lodges, a $275,000 project to bring the roof on the Mooseheart Education Administration Building up to standard. The fundraising was scheduled for three years with the expectation that each Lodge would make a $1200 donation within that time period. The time

limit was extended for one year and as of January we still needed $100,000 to meet the goal. Quite honestly we need everyone's help to meet the goal

and complete the Mission. Hopefully you are asking “What can I do? We suggest that you contact your Lodge Governor, find out where you

stand donation wise, do some fundraising, and help meet the expectation. There is also a program wherein if you want to donate as an individual you can. Those that do, and donate $100 or more, will

receive a Certificate of Membership in “MILTS 100 CLUB” signed by Milt McGinnis. Donations may be sent to either the CNMA

Association Secretary or Moose Charities, if you wish to receive credit for Tax Donation purposes. REMEMBER, donations are never to

small or to large, every dollar puts us closer to the Goal. Please be sure and note CNMA Roof Project in the memo section of all

checks. We are trying, with your help to complete this program by the end of September 2012. If you need further information

you can find it on the Association Website under the Special Projects link at or at your Lodge, or from me at www. . We thank you in advance for

your help and support. We know the Cal/Nev Members can and will make it happen. So, THE TIME IS NOW, LET'S CREATE

SOME INTEREST, AND GIT ER DUN!!Thank you, your CNMA Roof Committee. Bob Bakman,

Chairman
