In 2016 we had a few opporunities to expand on our inventory. We had a few new additions to our already extensive range of equipment but the units that we are the most excited about is the brand new Phillips/Strand 300S LED Soft Lights. We ordered our first 16 immediately after testing the demo unit and they are so new to the industry that we ordered and baught the first 16 ever to come out of the production line. A day after receiving them, the lights were installed for the filming of SA’s Big Bake Off.
The Phillips/Strand 300S LED Soft Light provides 27,484 lumen of light at 50 degrees that does not come from one source but from a 571mm x 424mm LED pannel with a colour temperature of 5600K. This fixture is a must have for any television studio, film or location shoot.
These lights are so versatile and efficient that we decided to order another 12 units, and also 4 x 150S units for a production that started filming in Jan 2017.
