Global governmentality is reproduced as global environmentality through knowledge production and discipline, as they relate to the global environmental movement. Namely scientific ecoknowledge and social conserveillance. (Timothy Luke, 1995)

The household becomes a critical, if not the primary, site of world politics as the space where social individuals are produced through global structures of power recreated within the home.

The data for this study were created through a three-month ethnographic study of a run-down, 100 year old, three-family rental property and the various organizations and individuals involved with the design of the home as sustainable, rehabbed, low-income housing...
