constraints:

� Back-to-back bends

� Riser bends radius ≈ 1.5D

Conclusions

� Ultrasonic tool is by far the best way to check the internal condition of a

pipeline.

� Quantitative sizing of depth of metal loss and remaining wall are

obtainable as compared to magentic flux leakage tools.

� Most MFL tools are prone to errors and can pass through bends ≥ 1.5D.

� The 4″ service line connecting Prezioso-Perla with changing wall

thickness can be inspected using the InVista™ ultrasonic tool with 1D

bend capabilities.
