This 1980's cult film, I saw when I was 16, and at the bottom of the screen I watched the movie at 19:00 in the cinema and afterwards I returned at 21.30. After that I have seen this movie once or 40, and when I'm on TV again I'll look back. Now, this Blind Creek Rhythm & Blues Revue has some interfaces with The Blues Brothers, but because of the lack of a true blazers section, we do not have to do it with the harmonica and a saxophone. Blind Creek Rhythm & Blues Revue released a live performance in their hometown Yarrah Valley at Melbourne. The recordings were created in December 2015, but only now has this CD appeared in Europe. Because of the virtually lack of audience noise, this album does not really get a live feel, and that's a pity I hear when Blind Creek Rhythm & Blues Revue is heard, a swinging and dancing crowd for me, nice sunshine, beer in hand, a Barbecue maybe. The recordings made by Skulduggery Records and one with the Blind Creek Rhythm and Blues Revue: Jono Zwart. He plays the bass at The Blind Creek Boys but is also Skulduggery Records, a mobile recording studio that mainly captures live performances on lp or cd, or instantly sings the ether. The famous Palace Of The King also has a live album at Skulduggery Records. Blind Creek Rhythm & Blues Revue play on this CD a variation of known and unknown blues songs, nineteen in total, which you listen carefully. Take Steely Dan's Black Friday, played here exuberantly. Or Do not Need That With A Delicious Saxophone Solo. A stirring version of Ronnie Hawkins, Mary Lou. An old Elvis song Mess 'a' Blues. What Tom Waits works To The Money Runs Out. A track from The Spencer Davis Group with I'm A Man. Screamin` Jay Hawkins`, Whistlin 'Past The Graveyard. A selection of blues songs, but as I said sorry for the lack of live feel, because it seems to me a band to create a nice blues party.
