Enabling “Eye-Fi Connected” on Camera-Recorder

After purchase, enable the function by importing the activation code into the Camera-Recorder main unit. The activation code can be obtained by accessing the site where activation codes are issued, and authenticate the device information exported from the Camera-Recorder and the key code bundled with the product following the displayed procedure. The procedure requires an SD memory card (formatted with the Camera-Recorder), a personal computer equipped with an SD memory card slot, and an Internet connection environment.

1 Export the device information of the Camera-Recorder to the SD memory card.Start the Camera-Recorder, insert the SD memory card into SLOT1 or SLOT2, and press the MENU button, when you select [ACTIVATE] - [EXPORT PRODUCT SERIAL] - [SLOT1] or [SLOT2] - [YES], the folder, PRIVATE/MEIGROUP/PAVCN/SBG/P2SD/ACTV/ is created inside the SD memory card, and the Camera-Recorder device information is saved in the file, SERIAL.LST.

Close the dialog display by pressing the [ENTER] button. fWhen the [ACTIVATE] menu does not appear, it is necessary to update the firmware version in the AG-AC160A.See the latest information about firmware on the AVCCAM support page on the following website.http://pro-av.panasonic.net/ fPerform the update after seeing “Updating the Firmware incorporated into the unit” (page 105) in the AG-AC160A Operating Instructions Vol. 2 for how to update the firmware. fDevice information for a maximum of 100 devices can be stored in one SD memory card by repeating the operations in Step 1 for Camera-Recorders that you want to issue the activation code for. The site that issues the activation code can read all device information for multiple devices stored on the SD memory card, and batch issue activation codes for the multiple devices. fWhen Error dialog appears, check insertion of the SD memory card, write protection setting, free space, etc. fUse an SD memory card formatted with the Camera-Recorder to prevent unexpected errors.

2 Remove the SD memory card from the Camera-Recorder. Insert it in a computer and connect to the following site that issues the activation code from a browser. Follow the procedures described in the site to acquire the activation code.http://panasonic.biz/sav/actkey_e
