Task 1• Find what time the expo starts

Task 2• Find where the expo is located

Task 3• What do you need to bring to the expo?

Task 4• What companies will be at the expo?

Page 4: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

• Morpheus asked too many questions about the tasks

• He gave suggestions about how to make the questions better because there were multiple answers to tasks/questions on the website

• He answered the question very quickly within 12 minutes

• Morpheus appeared to study the content on the page intensely before moving from page to page

• Morpheus wanted to thoroughly understand what the questions were asking before even attempting to complete the task (his reference alter ego)

• When presented with multiple answers for tasks, Morpheus assumed a problem with the tasks instead of an issue with the layout of the information on the webpage

Because this page listed multiple times for different activities, Morpheus was confused by

the questions/tasks given

Page 9: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

The next page proved to be problematic to Morpheus

Page 10: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

Morpheus was stumped at this page because he could not figure out how to get the company lists to display, until he decided to use the SCROLL function!

Page 11: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

Morpheus spent several minutes on this page scrolling the long list of companies that will be

present at the career expo

Page 12: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

To find what to bring to the Expo, Morpheus clicked the back button from the company list, which took him back to the resources page. Once there, he clicked on the Nine Steps to Success link which took

him to a list of tips that answered the question

• Morpheus studied the content intensely • He seemed to be able to use the website easily, with

very little issues overall• The entire usability test took approximately 12

minutes which includes stopping for questions• More thought should have been put into the

questions because Morpheus was very confused by the directions

• Morpheus, compared to Subject User Sub Zero (who shall not be named), did much better with the site although he spent less time on the site

Page 14: Engineering Fall Career Fair Usability testing

• Get confused once he had clear instructions • Spend a lot of time looking for information

• Make sure the users know you have to scroll to see the list of companies that will be at the expo

• Change the color of the click here button that leads to the company page, its hard to differentiate that it is a clickable link.

• Better questions/tasks for user to complete to avoid confusion during the test
