Project E

EmpowermentWe strive to support community members to take action on the environment. Through dialogue, local businesses and resident’s have been empowered to take action and recy-cle e-waste.

Entrepreneurial ApproachAside from e-waste that cannot be reused, a fraction of the equipment can be used for different purposes. Many busi-nesses have working laptops that are out-dated for their use. Enactus Laurier saw the opportunity to use these lap-tops as resources to instruct classes on employable skills and financial literacy.

“Enactus Laurier is doing a great job thus far by promoting awareness of the importance of recy-cling electronics due to their highly toxic compo-

sition and their impact on the environment. ”
