EMBEDDED WEB TECHNOLOGY
Presented by 15815A0427
INTRODUCTION • EWT is the marriage of embedded system and
world wide web.• Embedded system, in contract to general
purpose computers such as a desktop , contain processors , software , input sensors and output actuators all of which are dedicated to the control of a specific device
HISTORY
• EWT was developed during the late summer by members of NASA Lewis Research Center.
• It was modified in 2002.
What is Embedded web technology?
• Embedded technology is software or hardware that is hidden embedded in large device or system.
• It typically refers to a fixed function device, as compared with a PC , which runs general purpose applications.
EWT- BASICS
• Embedded system• Embedded web server• Client server• HTML and XML
EMBEDDED SYSTEM
An embedded system is a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real-time computing constraints.
EMBEDDED WEB SERVER
Embedded web server technology ismost evolving technology for internet devices, there are many application areas including internet devices, telecommunication devices, measuring instruments and lots of consumer devices
CLIENT SERVER MODEL
• Client: A logically entity that initiates a request for data or for an action to take place.
• Server: A complementary logical entity to a client.
HTML: Hyper text markup language is a language used to describe a webpage.
XML:Extensive markuplanguage (XML) is a structure for text so that information can be easily stored and transmitted through a web service.
HTML and XML
APPLICATIONS OF EWT
• Space communication• Biotechnology• Technology transfer and protocol• education
CONCULSIONWeb technology in embedded application
has distinct advantages over legacy and custom communication mechanisms due to the scalability and security. The amount of knowledge and skills needed to create a web application may be large. However embeddedtechnology is vastly becoming an important toolIn our daily life
