After completing the Master of Business Administration Elvira was looking for a career where every day brought with it something new, where she could interact with different people...real estate was the answer!  She started working in Barfoot & Thompson City branch where she specialised in Apartments sales. During that time, Elvira gained knowledge of complicated topics such as the specifics of the sale of unit title properties, in depth understanding of Body Corporate regulations and rules as well as dealing with tenants. Elvira was asked to deliver various presentations about those topics to wide groups of people: from investors to fellow real estate agents. 

When an opportunity arose, Elvira moved to the Royal Oak Branch, where she was able to sell a wider range of properties from units and houses to land for development and exclusive properties.

Elvira’s Appraisals v Results 2014

As required by the Real Estate Agents Authority, every property placed on the market for sale must first have a written appraisal which realistically reflects current market conditions. This must be supported by comparable information on sales of similar properties in similar locations.

I am very proud of the accuracy of my appraisals and take great care to ensure that my they are as accurate as possible.

I believe that it is better to be conservative in my appraisal of your property and ex-ceed your expectations.

Why Pick Us?

Every industry has its idiosyncrasies; we also have quiet a few. I would like to focus on one, so that you understand right now how important it is to go with the market leader in today’s market, so that you benefit with a greater return for your property.

When you list with Barfoot and Thompson, you are not only hiring the real estate agent that you have invited into your lounge room you are also hiring a vast network of real estate agents who have access to your property. In the Central Auckland there are 4-5 branches who actively bring or regularly have purchasers wanting to move into this area. Then you have the rest of the network of branches whom also have access to your property. Therefore, you have a team of 1400+ salespeople all who have the ability to show your property.

This creates competition and this results in a better price for your home. Barfoot and Thompson currently sells better than 1 in 3 properties in Auckland. That means that the other companies (consider another 9) are sharing the remaining. We also have the greatest foot traffic through all of our open homes. We maybe marketing 15 homes in your price range and specifications. If the potential purchasers needs are not met at the other open homes the agent will certainly talk about your property as being another option. Your home is being marketed by the strongest marketing tool…word of mouth!

Small agencies with limited listings cannot match this foot traffic as they simply do not have the potential purchasers to be able to send to other listings as they simply do not have them.

I believe in today’s market simply due to our internal systems, we are achieving greater results for our vendors than what could be achieved by smaller agencies. Elvira in the Community Elvira is very passionate and active in the community. She is involved with a number of projects and clubs and enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life.

Elvira is a proud member of the Newmarket Rotary Club which is involved in a number of community based projects. Rotary brings together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services within our greater community.

Currently the President of the Auckland Toastmasters Club, Elvira is heavily involved with Toastmasters International which is one of the oldest and most distinguished clubs in New Zealand.

To coincide with this, Elvira teaches public speaking and effective communication to both corporate organisations and professional sporting teams.

Among the highlights have been teaching the Auckland Blues, The Chiefs and the Warriors along with various ITM Cup Provincial Rugby Teams.

Elvira enjoys being involved with sport as well as being involved in arts and crafts in the community.
