IV. Instructors Policies

A. The instructor reserves the right to offer alternative format exams (those not given during the regular exam period) for those who miss scheduled exams. Make-up exams are administered only in the ACS lab during office hours. Late exams will only be 60%

B. Attendance and course pursuit policies of the College can be reviewed in the College Catalog. Students are responsible for all submission deadlines and keeping their computer files current. Students may be dropped from the course for lack of course pursuit.

C. Late projects will be only 80%. After last call, projects will be only 60%. Create a back up of your files as necessary. Start your projects early enough to consult with the instructor for any issues that might arise.

D. Extra credit assignments are not available. The application projects and tutorials activities are offered to boost your grade.

E. The Colleges Student Code of Conduct will govern student conduct. Please review policies related to plagiarism and submitted work done by other students. Students submitting another students file and the student who provided the file will receive a zero(0) on the assignment and may be ejected from the course.

F. Students are expected to participate in classroom discussion. To facilitate discussion and instruction, students must refrain from cell phone usage, web browsing, and chat sessions, etc during classroom time.

G. Students are responsible for withdrawing themselves by the last-day-to-drop date if they choose. Students who have not administratively withdrawn will receive a grade based on accumulated points. Attendance and course pursuit policies of the College can be reviewed in the College Catalog.

H. During the semester, you will be asked to take two short surveys. Participation is strictly voluntary. Your participation will not affect your grade in any way, and you will not be identified as a participant. Results of the survey will be used for research purposes only.
