Ekklesia Theological Seminary Ekklesia Oversight Ekklesia oversight transferred to Redeeming Grace Church After two and a half years as a part of the ministry at Chapel Library, the oversight of Ekklesia Theological Seminary has been transferred to Redeeming Grace Church in Milton, FL. The transfer was implemented because of funding issues. Ekklesia Seminary continues in a friendly relationship with Chapel Library and will move forward with design and implementation of courses, as well as receiving students into its program. The recent history of Ekklesia began as Harmony Ridge Baptist Church in Pace, FL initiated the ministry in December 2008 and began offering classes in the Fall of 2009. In 2010, Ekklesia was transferred to the ministry of Chapel Library. This transfer, because of Chapel Library’s many contacts and connections, allowed for Ekklesia to offer on-line courses and begin accepting students from across North America and around the world. In its time under Chapel Library, Ekklesia grew in the number of available courses and students. Mission: To provide free theological education for men unable to access other opportunities in order to strengthen churches with theologically trained leaders. DESIGN AND QUALITY The design of Ekklesia is primarily to provide theological training for current and future leadership in the Body of Christ. Secondarily, Ekklesia provides theological training for those who are not leaders or necessarily even future leaders but with a view toward helping produce, in a more general manner, maturity in the Body of Christ. The hope is that as men in certain geographical areas mature there will be a regional impact on churches as men are better equipped for biblical leadership. Ekklesia’s purpose is not merely to provide theological education but high quality theological education. To accomplish this purpose, students are provided access to seminary courses and other quality addresses by competent authorities in their fields. The students are expected to demonstrate knowledge and skill in communicating what they have learned through exams, papers, and other projects. Ekklesia grants Master of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees upon completion of the required programs.
