    installation, design, improvement, new omponent,maintenance,etc..) Understanding or creating the system/process

    Document all activities in your log book (detailed documentation)

    Ensure that you are supervised by an engineer or researcher

    EIT LOG BOOK

    Compulsory for everybody to purchase

    To write down all experience and activities youhave done during the training

    For future References Log Book will be viewed by your supervisor and

    should be submitted to the unit together with theEIT report

    You may purchase this EIT Log Book at EITUThe price is RM 9

    INFORMATION CARD

    There are 2 type of Information Card

    a) Hardcopy-Inside your Log Book (White Color)

    b) Online Information Card

    You are compulsory to submit both of theInformation Cards from 09th May 13th May 2011

    For the information card (Hard Copy), you have tosubmit it by hand to EIT Unit or send it through mail.

    For the Information Card (Online), you are requiredto fill up the online form at the EIT Website.

    EIT VISIT

    EIT Visit period: 27th June 15th July 2011

    Visiting lecturer will communicate with thestudents on where and when to visit you

    Students are responsible to make anynecessary arrangement (e.g. Inform yoursupervisor, presentation, preparation,etc)

    PRESENTATION

    Students are required to do a presentationof the activities or projects during thelecturers visit

    Presentation will be assessed by thevisiting lecturer

    Students who doing his /her practical atoversea will present their projects oractivities after came back to IIUM

    SUPERVISORS ASSESSMENT

    Your supervisor will assess your code ofconduct during your training.

    Your supervisor will give his/her report to

    the visiting lecturer using the SupervisorsEvaluation Form enclosed in the EIT LogBook

    PROGRESS REPORT

    Report on your activity or projects

    Form is available in EIT Log Book

    Students are required to submit progressreport which will be evaluated starting from14th 17th June 2011(By mail)

    EIT FINAL REPORT

    EIT Final Report must be submitted from18th July 1st August 2011

    Report should be hard cover bound (Blackcolor) with golden colored writing (refer toformat attached in your log book / EITGuidebookavailable in EIT Website)

    LEAVES

    Only 6 days of leaves including emergencyand medical leave

    Any application for leave must be made direct

    to the company/firm

    Students are requested to fill the leave formwhich can be download form EIT website.

    A copy of completed form must be send toEIT Unit as soon as possible.

    CHANGE OF EIT PLACEMENT

    No change of placement will be allowed

    and entertained UNLESS

    You being mistreated badly at the currentplacement

    Please consult EIT Unit or your EIT

    Programme coordinator concerning thismatter.

    1 EIT Progress Report 20%

    2 EIT Presentation Assessment 20%

    3 Industrial Supervisor Assessment 30%

    4 EIT Final Report 30%

    Cont MARKING SCHEME

    For those who did not submit the EITProgress Report, you will get no marks.

    For those who did not submit the EIT Final

    Report, you will be failed. For those whose supervisors did not

    submit Supervisors Assessment Form,

    your mark will be deducted 15% out 0f30%

    Pass : > than 50%

    Fail : < than 50%
