EGGER Ergo Board provides easy and ergonomic handling as a light-weight “one-man-lift-panel” for fast installation designed with special shiplap and tongue and groove profiles, complete with nailing grid on the surface.

EGGER Ergo Board allows the build up of an even and stable 12 mm sublayer for plasterboard increasing the wall stiffness allowing truly endless laying on metal studs. Plasterboard cladding can be efficiently and easily fixed independent from the studs.

EGGER Ergo Board enables the fixing of loads where you need it independent from the studs and the use of special fasteners in drywall constructions.

EGGER Ergo Board improves safety by being part of non-loadbearing partition walls classified for a fire resistance of 30 up to 60 minutes.

EGGER Ergo Board is characterized by low emission due to 100 % formaldehyde free resin and high structural performance by optimized strands in three crosswise oriented layers.

How to use EGGER Ergo Board?

Installation

5

The endless installation can be used for partition walls in dwellings and public areas with common end use situations. The tongue and groove joint provides high stiffness also with non-supported edges and allows an efficient use of Ergo Board with little waste. Wall mounted loads, such as cupboards, shelving and lighting systems pose no problems. The fastening at the perimeter on the outer studs of each Ergo Board panel always require a 150 mm fastener spacing. Otherwise, with a cc-span of 450 mm a fastening at ≤ 300 mm is sufficient. Screws should have a distance to the edge of minimum 9 mm.

A stable joint is achievable on non-supported edges.

Fold in the Ergo Board with the shiplap joint on the long edge. To have the profiled edges in the right position the marking on the surface should be legible from bottom/left to top/right.

Adjust into the right position.

Fasten horizontal edges with just one screw. Fastener spacing at sheet perimeter is 150 mm centres, in the middle space at 300 mm centres.

Installation

For higher drywalls (> 5 m) and higher attached hanging loads the vertical panel joints should be supported by the studs. The nailing grid printed on the surface is designed to support this installation type by showing the 600 mm grid. This will speed up the work especially for the last row of panels when the studs are now unseen.1st grid equals a cc-span of 600 mm or 625 mm (half width of steel joist). Share the wall length by cc-span 600 mm or 625 mm. Last grid equates tothe remaining wall length.

Fold in with the shiplap joint on the long edge. To have the profiled edges in the right position the marking on the surface should be legible from bottom/left to top/right.

Fasten the Ergo Board while it holds it’s position due to the edge profile.

Use the nailing grid to adjust to the right position.

Install the Ergo Board with staggered T-joints.

Vertical installation is especially recommended when the ceiling height complies with the 2400 mm or 2500 mm panel length. Labour time is reduced due to only one screw needed per fastening point on the metal studs. The special shiplap profile on the long panel edges provides a 2 mm expansion gap without additional efforts.

Connect the shiplap joint and the second panel will be held in position.

Put the Ergo Board in the vertical direction.

Fix the adjacent panels with one screw into the metal stud.Fasten the Ergo Board with 150 mm spacing.

Proven solutions for fire resistant partition wallsLight partition walls have a wide range of applications in domestic and public buildings. Often their use is combined with fire resistance requirements. EGGER Ergo Board provides the only available system combining wood-based sublayer and metal stud structure successfully tested and classified according to the requirements of EN 13501-2 by the German Materialforschungs- und -prüfanstalt (MFPA) Leipzig as notified body. For the complete classification reports please contact our technical support team.

Correct storage and protective measures during transport are essential for problem-free handling. The following simple principles should be taken into account:

• EGGERErgoBoardshouldbestoredinadryarea fl at on several pieces of squared timber. The span width should be no greater than 80 cm and the pieces of squared timber should all be the same height.

• Ifseveralpalletsarestackedontopofeachother then the squared timber should be aligned by height.
