Deut 1:19-21 NIV19 Then, as the LORD our God commanded us, we set outfrom Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amoritesthrough all that vast and dreadful desert that you have seen, and so we reached Kadesh Barnea. 20 Then I said to you,"You have reached the hill country of the Amorites, which theLORD our God is giving us. 21 See, the LORD your Godhas given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as theLORD, the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be afraid;do not be discouraged."

For the past40 years and despitedifficulties, the Israel-ites had been makingprogress. They havecome from Egypt andare now east of Jor-dan. They have already engaged in several battles andhave defeated Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og,king of Bashan. They are thanking the Lord, andrightly so, for all His blessings and for bringing themthus far. It is very tempting to rest on their laurels, tobe contented with what they have achieved.

By many accounts, EE in Malaysia has donewell. This is being recognised by believers inside andoutside the country. Recently one of our Malaysianchurches was awarded the D. James Kennedy Minis-try of Excellence Award, only the fourth church inAsia to be so awarded. Four individuals are receiving

What has the Lord destinedfor us individually and for

our church and nation? If we arenot careful, we may land up missing

what God has destined us for.As we come to the end of 2008, I am reading

Deuteronomy 1 again. It is the beginning of Moses

swansong, just before he leaves this world to join theLord he has loved and served. The Israelites that hehas led for 40 years are about to pass through theRiver Jordan to enter the Promised Land.

The Lord has been good to the EE ministryin our nation. Over the last 20 years we have trainedmore than 2095 clinicians and 4985 trainers. Thereare 71 active churches, committed to equipping theirmembers to share their faith and financially support-ing EE and the training of other church leaders, pray-ing that what each of them is benefitting from imple-menting EE might be experienced by other churches.

Recently, Malaysian EE churches and individualscontributed USD10,000.00 to printing EE trainingmaterials for use in mainland China.

Like the children of Israel, we have come along way. And like them, we need to hear Moses last

words becauseit contains a warning that, having comethus far, we arestill in dangerof missing out

    on Gods des-tiny for us.

    will have

    passed

    off the

JamesKennedy... Growing Stronger Than Everrowing Stronger Than Everrowing Stronger Than Ever

Imust confessto you, Dr. Kennedy said to a clinic

    teacher, that as a young

    pastor with a passion to

evangelize Fort Lauderdale, I tried at least 100

different things that didnt work before EE

finally jelled into the ministry it is today.

In the many years I have served Godin Fort Lauderdale, I have launched and led

    nine ministries: Coral Ridge Presbyterian

    Church, EE International, Westminster Acad-

emy, the local WAFG Christian radio station,

Truths That Transform Radio Hour, the inter-

nationally televised Coral Ridge Hour, Knox

    Theological Seminary, Reclaiming America,

and the Center for Christian Statesmanship in

    Washington, D.C.

But when all is said and done and

my life is finished I believe that the most sig-

nificant thing God will have done through me

    will be Evangelism Explosion.

One day I will have passed off the

scene. My prayer and deep desire is that the

leaders whom God raises up in my place will

take firm hold of EE and the principles that

are helping it reach into every culture and con-

tinent of the world. Until Jesus returns, may

they diligently apply those basic principles to

the ministry here in America and into every

nation, territory, and people group of the

    world.

    D. James Kennedy

2007 was a momentous year and

a difficult year. On September 5, our Founder and President, Dr. D. James Kennedy, went home to be with theLord.

In spite of this loss, EE was secure. Dr.Kennedy made sure that the EE leadership wasin place. This man, who stood strong in defenseof faith, family, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, was a leader who built other lasting leaders.

As we face our first year without him,we can say with confidence that EE is as strong

as ever. Recent accomplishments and new de-velopments make it perfectly clearthere is noslowing down in reaching every person with theGospel.

During a 15-year period, from 2000 to2014, it is estimated that EE will conduct morethan 20,000 leadership training clinics. It isamazing what God is doing through this minis-try, said Rev. John B. Sorensen, EE President.

Doing the math sheds light on someincredible results, results once thought of asimprobable. Take 20,000 clinics and multiply

them by 30 to 40 individuals trained at eachclinic (a conservative estimate). You begin toget a small glimpse at the numbers of peoplemultiplying themselves in churches all over theworld.

One small EE training center in Indo-nesia has been training people at a high rate. The head of our Indonesia ministry said that if we continue on this path, Indonesia will be-come a Christian nation, John exclaimed.

The Indonesia center is but one D.James and Anne Kennedy International Train-

ing Center for World Evangelism. Already, training centers are up and running in Fiji,Ukraine, and one is nearing completion in Viet-nam.

Can you imagine the day when we would talk about having staff in Vietnam?questioned John. The Vietnam Training Centerhas a full staff ready to go and will feature of-fices, a chapel, and a hotel for out-of-town lead-ers. It is scheduled for completion in Septem-ber, 2008.

EE Cuba leaders report that, in this

communist country, 10 percent of the Cubanpopulation are Christians through the ministry

    of EE.

What isnt included in all of these won-derful results are the millions of people, trainedin EE all over the world, who use EE in theirdaily lives. The secretary of one of our BoardMembers was trained in EE 30 years ago, said

John, and is still leading people to Christ. These are numbers that are not recorded any-where!

God has done some remarkable thingsthrough this ministry in the first 46 years. I be-lieve that the next 46 years will be even moreremarkable, John said.

    Excellence Award

    3

It is my privilege topresent an awardto you as a church.

I represent EE Interna-tional, and this award is

only given to twochurches per year in thecontinent of Asia. It hasonly been given to aboutthree churches in Asia:one in Korea, one in Manila, one in HongKong, and you will be the fourth recipient ofthis award.

As I thought this morning what versesbefit this occasion, what verses illustrate or givea clear picture of this church, I thought of theverses in Ephesians 3:10-11, which says this - it

is Gods intent, that now in 2008, through thechurch, His manifold wisdom, His great wis-dom, will be made known to the rulers and theauthorities in the heavenly realm, through Hiseternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus, our Lord. It is Gods intent that now, throughthe church FGT, His manifold wisdom will bemade known to the rulers and the authorities inthe heavenly realm.

Stuart Briscoe describes those verses inthis way. Imagine God in heaven sitting at atable with all the rulers and the authorities in

heaven. The old guys with their robes andbeards, and they are sitting there, and God getsHis projector out and He starts showing slidesto the rulers and the authorities. He shows theuniverse, and the rulers and the authorities say,O God, thats great! He says, Wait a minute,I want you to see a little globe in the middle ofthe universe. And He shows a picture of theearth, and the rulers and the authorities say, OGod, thats great! He says, No, no, I want youto notice something..., and the camera focusesin on Malaysia, on Kuala Lumpur, on Petaling

Jaya, on a church called FGT. And the rulersand authorities say, God, what is going on(Continued on page 4)

This is such an honor, notonly to our church but also to all the

churches in our nation. We are indeed soblessed and encouraged to know that

    Evangelism Explosion International has not

forgotten us in this part of the world.

We trust with this recognition, more

churches in our country will be encouraged

to continue to teach and train their members

in this crucial and important task of soul-

winning and the raising up of other soul-

Apart from the regular training and weekly Bible teaching, an EvangelismExplosion (EE) training was conducted

for our Vietnamese church members betweenthe end of August and early September this yearin two places in Penang: Butterworth and BatuMuang. The EE team that came to give thetraining comprised of six members from Viet-nam.

It was a blessed training. The EE train-ing in Butterworth was held in two and a half

days, and in five nights in Batu Muang. Besideslearning how to evangelize and share the Gospel, the trainees were also taught on how to copewith the persecution in Vietnam. Every traineehad to memorize the Gospel outline by heart.

Among those who accepted the Lord, some had been to Church several times or hadbeen exposed to the Gospel through readingtracts or watching our freely given out Jesus film(with 8-minute OT introduction) and other Bible-based VCDs.

The plan to follow up on these new

believers is through visitation. We are keeping intouch with them and encouraging them to attendour service and discipleship sessions.

After the training, many of the traineessaid that they are now confident to share theGospel with their family and friends, and eventheir roommates and anyone they meet.

Inever expected myself to getinvolved in Kids EE, as I amnot good at handicrafts. Im in

charge of the Children Worship Service in mychurch, not because I like kids, but becausenobody else wanted to be in charge. So I was

pushed into it. Theres always a beginning foreverything. So, I got involved and tried my bestto do the job well, with God by my side. Get-ting myself into Kids EE was a different mat-ter. On one occasion sometime last year, I metSis. Chien Poh Choo, who is one of the KidsEE Clinic Teachers. We were talking and shar-ing, and I told her of my involvement in theChildren Worship Service. She told me that it

would be an advantage to know Kids EE if weare to be in the childrens ministry. One day in

July this year, I dont know what made me re-

read the tract Forever Friends, but Godspoke to me through it. I was so moved by thestory that a six-year-old could understand Jesusand His gift. I was in tears and I knew God

wanted me to get in the Kids EE LeadershipTraining.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself through-out the whole training, even though I was veryslow. I have never been good at handicrafts. Both my left and right hands could never seemto co-ordinate well. Time was so tight and wewere so fully occupied that very often I could

not finish my craft on time. God sent several

Leaders, they were so car-ing and helpful in every way to guide, assist andencourage us. I salute you all. All of you make agood and effective team. All of you have set agood example for me to follow.

In the beginning, I wasn'treally interested in joining EEbecause I know it needs a lot

of brain power to memoriseeverything, and I never likedmemorizing. However, after all the

forcing from my friends, I decided to give it atry. It was quite relaxing at first, with the junkfoods and tea breaks all the time, until we were

told to find a prospect to do OJT everyday. It was stressful and made everyone so nervous, but through this EE, I've learned how to shareto my friends effectively. I know that I'm notsharing the wrong facts with them and thequestions that I ask gets them thinking.Although it was quite tough for me during theoral test, but I thank God for Seaw Chin andmy partners William and Pastor Nono forhelping me when I really needed help. Trueenough, all things are possible with God.

Inever thought I would takeup EE, but when PastorGideon asked me to sign

up for it, I did just a few daysbefore the clinic. I started askingmyself: What am I getting into?

Am I prepared for this? What if my friends orfamily look at me differently after I share withthem? I was afraid of rejection.

On the first day, I didnt know weimmediately had to do OJTs. My partner,

Carissa, told me that her friend couldnt makeit that day. I pulled out my handphone andwent through my entire directory. I dialled mycousins number, and he became the firstperson we had OJT with. I was really amazedthat within a day itself, I was able to share thegospel. Of course, with the help of my partner

    intro

    ducingXee...

    10

Early this year the EE InternationalBoard approved the release andlaunch of a brand new product tobe named Xee. X stands for many things,

e.g. Generation X, but also for the un-

    known.

In 2006, I had the privilege to be

part of a group of some 20 people from all

over the world put together to discuss the

foundations of a new product which will

make EE even more relevant to a new gen-

eration. EE itself is more than 40 years old,

and although it has been revised periodi-

cally, many of the teaching methods em-

ployed were from another generation. The

teaching methods were dated and overly

dependent on the teachers personal skills.Even the concepts of eternal life and

death which the EE presentation uses are

no longer deemed relevant by sections of

    our secular, post-modern society.

During our time together, the group

isolated the core principles of EE e.g. the

on-the-job training that made EE effective.

These were to be our non-negotiables

and would be retained in our new product.

    WHAT

    IT

    IS.

    The Wollongong group that put

    together the foundational elements of

    Xee in July 2006.

Next, we brainstormed, with a zero-based

approach. We even revisited the 5 gospel

points and discussed the relevant scriptures

and illustrations we would use in the newpresentation. (No one could answer whywe never used John 3:16, the most familiar

verse in the Bible, which an unbeliever is

most likely to know if they knew only one

    single Bible verse!).

Historically, EEs threadof logic has been thus:

Finding out what a person is basing

their hope on, to be right with God, or to

have eternal life. Once that is determined,

and assuming it is some kind of works

hope, the EE Gospel presentation tactfully

points out the hopelessness of trying to be

good enough to satisfy Gods requirements,

then moves on to explain Gods real provi-

sion through the substitutionary work of

    Christ on the cross.

A new approach:We have discovered that for many

(though not all, which is why we keep the

    standard diagnostic question available) the

idea of trying to obtain righteousness with

God is not a key question that is perceived

as relevant to a secular, post-modern,thinker. If not that issue, then what is a more

burning question in the mind of many non-

Christians? We have found that many peo-

ple are saying, I dont care anything

about eternal life or trying to get there. My

problem is that life doesnt make any sensenow. Instead of telling me about eternal

life, tell me how my life can make sense of

    this mess NOW.

Whi le EE s s tandard

    Diagnostic Questions are still pre-

    sent, we have added another,

    very effective dialogue question

which helps students get into the

    Gospel more effectively. We first

ask a person, On a scale of 1 to

10, how would you rate your life

    right now? Thenwhat would

    make your life a 9 or a 10? These

    are much less aggressive questions

    than the EE diagnostic questions.

    introducing

    Xee...

Indeed, they do not even mention heaven

or eternal life. However, the next question

begins to move into a more spiritual con-

text, which is: Do you think knowing aboutGod would move you one way or another

    on that scale?

If the person responds in some way

that knowing about God might help them,

we then proceed to share the concept

that God wants us to experience abundant

life both now and forever. This emphasizes

the now element of knowing God, i.e.

that knowing more about God can, in fact,

have a positive impact on a persons life

    today.

We have found that many people

who do not perceive their greatest need isto know if they have eternal life, do see

their greatest need is to know what can

help their life in the here and now. Of

course, we know that a relationship with

God, through Jesus, will meet these needs.

The Gospel remains the same, but the initial

approach is more fitted to many non-

    Christians immediate felt needs.

From this point, the Gospel presen-

tation is very similar to what we have used

for years. We proceed to explain the nature

of sin, beginning with, Life doesnt work

because we are cut off from the One who

designed life in the first place. We can fur-

ther explain the nature and consequences

of sin. From this point, once again, we can

share about Gods provision, not only for life

making sense, but because of Christs substi-

tutionary death on the cross, received

    through faith.

New teaching methodsWe solicited the help of experts in

modern teaching methods and those very

aware of the thinking minds of the present

generation to help us decide how we will

    teach the material.

Lastly, we asked the experts in the

field of mass media communication and

advertising to help us to package the prod-

uct so that many more will find EE exciting. I

believe the development costs for this new

product is into millions (USD!).Whilst surfing the internet and read-

ing the EE blogs, I can sense a genuine new

    excitement about EEand indeed, about

witnessing for our Lord Jesus Christ.

    This product has been field-tested

world-wide and the results have been re-

    markable. No doubt further improvements

can and will be made in the near future but

EE International feels the product can and

should be brought to the attention of the

    user community quickly.

    Rocks!by Grace Tang

Prior to my involvementin EE in 2004, I hadserved the first two yearsin Sunday School since

    joining Emmanuel Evangelical Free

Church, Wangsa Maju in 1993. Sub-sequently, I joined my husband,James, in the youth ministry in 1995till 2006. I believed in harnessing theenergies and talents of the youths into dramasand choir presentations for every Christmas andEaster. That was about as evangelistic as I wouldget until EE came along into my life. My hus-band and I attended the Adult EE Clinic in Au-gust 2004. Having caught the vision of multipli-cation in discipling, we decided to becometeacher-trainers in our church in early 2005.

In April this year, after reading the write-up on Xee by Rev. Voon Yuen Woh, I decidedthat I had to attend the Launch on Xee. As I readthrough the write-up, I was more and moreconvinced that Xee is what I need to address thespiritual needs of certain segment of people thatI have not been able to reach in recent years.

Before I share about my experience with the Xee Life Now version, I must say aword of THANK YOU and WELL DONE toRev. Rod Story, Rev. Voon, Stephen Hanlon,Frank Alexander and others who have laboured

long and hard to give us Xee. Take it from ausers point of view, if you nearly broke yourbacks doing it, IT WAS WORTH IT! I am soglad and thankful that you gave. May God keepon blessing you all with backbones so that youcan continue to give and bear much fruit. Godbless you all.

Heres what I find so good about theXee Life Now version:-

Firstly, I find that it can be used not onlyfor the X-generations, but also for the oldergenerations. We all know that Eternal Life isabout Life Now and Forever with God, not one

or the other.I realized that many of our churchmembers think that Xee is only applicable fortraining the X-generation; that it is to be sharedonly by the X-generations to the X-generations.However, it has been proven otherwise in oursemester. A good example would be a trainee ofours, Winson, a father of about 50 years of agewith three young adult children. He was not only

able to lead his two daughters of the Y-generation to Christ during one of the connectactivities, but was also able to share the Life Nowgospel outline in perfect Cantonese to a 14 year-old girl and lead her to Christ! What a privilege!

Secondly, the Xee Life Now approach ismore suited for prospects who have no conceptof heaven but rather believe in good works for abetter life. It has helped us to address the feltneeds of prospects whom we have had difficultylaunching into the gospel in the past.

Thirdly, the Xee Life Now outline isonly half the length of the Adult one, but is asequally effective. We could run the whole se-mester in only eight Saturday afternoons, cover-ing the first four units on Connect Life in fourhours on the first Saturday, and the last fourunits on Multiply Life on the last Saturday. Therest of the units were done in two units eachweek for three hours. We would have a time ofsingspiration and prayer, followed by the lessonsusing the DVD. We would also have role-playsand discussions as and when directed in thehandbooks.

Fourthly, the Xee teaching methodhelps the students learn faster as it involves a lotof participation from them in the group discus-sions and numerous role-plays. The studentswere able to own the gospel outline in a muchshorter time. As such, they were also able toshare in Chinese dialects - Hokkien, Mandarinand Cantonese! On top of that, much of theburden of teaching is taken off the teacher-trainers since most of it is done through theDVD, which has excellent teaching. Of all thesemesters, I enjoyed this Xee semester the most.

Since we have had so much fun withXee in the last few months, we have decided torun another semester in early December. Theother good news is, all our three trainees haveenlisted to facilitate in the coming semester. Thepositive response may be largely due to the factthat the role of an Xee facilitator has a lesser workload than that compared to the conven-tional EE teacher-trainer.

If you have not tried Xee Life Now,dont wait. Just watch the DVD and go throughthe Facilitators Handbook. You will get the idea, just like I did, and wished you had tried it sooner.

What the Trainees have to say:

Concepts in the Xee Life Now are easy tolearn. With the DVDs, we are able to playback what we are to learn over and overagain, making it easy for us to grasp theconcepts. What I like best are the LaunchQuestions which are not offensive to non-

Christians, making it easy for them to openup to discussion and our sharing of the

    gospel.

The Xee Life Now gospel outline is short butcomplete. I need not worry about missingany important points. Having joined Xee hasalso equipped me with some answers to

some tough questions about the Christian

    faith that non-Christians may ask.

The Xee Life Now is a good way to sharethe good news, especially providing usefuland helpful guidelines on how to connectmore effectively with the X-generation. Thegospel outline is geared towards addressing

the felt needs of the younger generation

who are seeking answers to meaning of life.

irmansdesk... the gift of eternal life every day as a result of the

EE ministry in Malaysia. But east of Jordan is

not Gods destiny for the Israelites. Four soulsa day is not Gods destiny for EE in Malaysia.Often we are contented with a partial gift fromGod when we have yet to receive all that Godhas for us.

The Lord describes the Promised Landas a gift to His people (v.21). But gifts must betaken. In the case of eternal life, we must repentof our sins, ask God for forgiveness and surren-der our life to Jesus. To possess our Promised

Land, we must exercise faith and GO up andTAKE it. The call is GO up and TAKE pos-session (emphasis mine). Now EE Malaysia mustnot be contented. Now is the time to GO and

TAKE to move into, to POSSESS whatGod has already given. This gift of God needsto be TAKEN. What is given needs to be TAKEN in order to be possessed. Our God-given destiny is not our possession yet. Let usnot be satisfied and contented with our pro-gress and then miss out on our Promised Land.Let us GO and TAKE.

(Continued from page 1) to the Valley of Eshcol and explored it. 25 Takingwith them some of the fruit of the land, they brought itdown to us and reported, "It is a good land that theLORD our God is giving us."

After commanding them to go and taketheir possession, the Lord gives this word, Donot be afraid; do not be discouraged. The Isra-elites were fearful and discouraged. Fear canparalyse the strongest and most able. Discour-agement makes us lose heart and creates in usthe unwillingness to battle opposition and gopass obstructions.

I believe this is the same situation withthe EE ministry. Malaysian believers are oftenfearful and discouraged when it comes to shar-

ing their faith. We have with us the most pow-erful tool to change the world for the better. The Apostle Paul refers to the gospel with thesame Greek word (dunamis translated aspower in the NIV) from which we derive the

word dynamite in Romans 1:16-17 and yetour attempts to proclaim the gospel is at best, feeble. Paul adds, For in it, therighteousness ofGod is revealed (NKJV). When it comes to shar-ing our faith, we have the fear of people, fear ofrepercussions, fear of ridicule, fear of rejection, fear of not knowing what to say, to name a few.

Yes, fear will cause us to miss out on our des-tiny. We need to overcome this fear if we are toGO and TAKE. The Lord says to us today,Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

To assuage their fear, the Israelites sentmen ahead to spy out the land for us and bring back areport about the route we are to take and the towns wewill come to (v.22). In essence, they did anevaluation and assessment of the ground condi-tions. This is good for planning but it is nogood if we have fear and are discouraged. Itonly makes matters worse. The more we see,

the more frightened we become. Often when we dont want to do something, we merelypostpone it by commissioning more research. This mistake caused the Israelites another 40years and one generation of people. (Except for Joshua and Caleb, none over the age of 40made it into the Promised Land. Only their chil-dren did.) Today we do not need more research. We already have done plenty. We need to becourageous and to OBEY our Lords GreatCommission. We need to equip people to shareand then ask them to do it. Just do it!

Fear often paralyses us despite thestrength of our reasoning capabilities. The spies

four persons are saved everyday in Malaysia as aresult of the EE ministry!) As we reflect, thereis awe and wonder as we continue to realize thatthe Lord will fight for us(v.30).

Moses continued, there you saw how theLORD your God carried you, (v.31). We need toremember what we saw, what we witnessed,

what the Lord had done to carry us. TheLord carried us, as a father carries his son. Nohuman hand brought us to where we are today. It is the Lord who carried us all these 20 years.I can see the pastors and lay leaders wetrained, those who faithfully implemented EEin their churches, those who continued and per-sisted despite opposition from without andfrom within, the believers who were trained,

those who were transformed, became moreconfident, not just in sharing their faith, but inevery sphere of new ministries that they wouldtake up, those saved, and those saved who inturn were trained to share their faith, and thosewho trained yet more others for the work of theministry. Let us all see

Finally, Moses reminded the Israelites, the LORD your God, who went ahead ofyou (v.33). As we look into the future, webecome confident only because we know it isthe Lord who called us and it is the Lord who

went ahead of us. Whatever the future brings, one thing is for sure, the Lord is already there. He went ahead of us. In this is our confidence.Moses told the people that the Lord went aheadof them in order to search out places for you tocamp and to show you the way you should go (v.33). That means the Lord will provide for us, willguard and guide uswhat more can we ask for?Lets move forward with faith in our hearts, notfear. And lets move forward to our God-givendestiny. May we one day report that 40 personsnot 4, are saved everyday because we are equip-

ping and encouraging believers to share theirfaith. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.

On behalf of my colleagues on theBoard of EE Malaysia, I wish you a BlessedChristmas and a Joyful New Year. May 2009 bethe year where our God-given destiny will befulfilled in each one of us, in our church and inour nation.

returned from their mission and reported, It isa good land that the LORD our God is givingus"(v.25). And yet despite all they can see ofGods goodness, their generation missed out on

their God-given destiny. We need to heed thevoice of God more than the voice of our rea-son.

The Israelites have other problems andexcuses as well. Despite all that is said anddone, they were unwilling to go (v.26); they re-belled (v.26); they lied (The LORD hates us.Compare v.25,It is a good land that the LORDour God is giving us) to cover up their cowardice;they were fearful of obstacles and opposition,so he brought us out of Egypt to deliver us into thehands of the Amorites to destroy us (v.27), the people

are stronger and taller than we are; the cities are largewith walls up to the sky (v.28) and they blamedothers on their team, Our brothers have made uslose heart(v.28).

Let Us Go UpAnd Take Possession Of It (v.21)

The key to overcome fear is tostrengthen our faith in God. To do this, Mosesreminded the Israelites to remember what theLORD had done for them in the past.

Deut 1:29-31 NIV"Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. 30 TheLORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,31 and in the desert. There you saw how the LORDyour God carried you, as a father carries his son, all theway you went until you reached this place."

Do not be terrified; do not be afraid. Why? Because the Lord will go before you, be-cause the Lord will fight for you JUST as He

did for you in Egypt. Like the Israelites, weneed to remind ourselves of what the Lord hasdone for us in the past, how He started theministry 20 years ago when some Malaysianspaid their own way to Manila, Hong Kong, Sin-gapore and even the United States to learn EEand returned to equip others in their churchesand beyond. Today, many Malaysians regularlyteach EE in other nations in the region and be-yond.
