EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY:
According to the article “Using technology into elementary classroom” by Maryline Western. Educational technology is a new way to teach. Technology is becoming really advanced, why not integrating it to educational curriculum. Teachers have always tried to make their lives easier, well today thanks to technology it is possible. Technology has many purposes into a kids ability to learn, you can learn how to count, how to do math, how spell words, and you can also learn a new language, however we are going to focus into reading skills and the benefits of computer help to do so.
According to Marilyne Webster, the author of the article, you can use main project and ideas to help kids learn how to read in an fun and easy manner, for instance: Create a Glossary of vocabulary words Nouns, adjectives, verbs can be easily processed
by using a table made through Words You can visit the website called www.starfall.com Maybe create a scavenger hunt Have some fun reading projects

I believe that, as a teacher, you have to adapt yourself to new coming technology. Nowadays, children have the tendency to know more about computer and technology than their own parents. In order for teachers to be successful you have to understand what make children happy
to learn and not be in the look-at-the-clock mode.
you have to make learning a fun experience.
I believe that this article gives really good
tips to teachers and parents about teaching
kids how to read, It will open the kids arms
into learning mode.

WHO IS USING TECHNOLOGY INTO THEIR CLASSROOMS?
Many teachers have learned how to you integrate technology into their
classrooms. According to the missouri department of Education, in 2003
79% of the teachers are skilled enough to use technology in their
classrooms compared to 59% in 1998
The next article that I want to talk about is
called “Center for Educational Technologies”.
It is a program sponsored by the NASA, in
order to educate young children to the space
life and maybe one day, one them will become
a new “Armstrong”. It started in 1990, on the
campus of Wheeling Jesuit University, with one
employee whose job was to teach local classrooms about NSAS programs
and materials
The NASA program is only one example out of many many more that introduce technology into their schools. The goal of the NASA is to teach children and young adult why technology has a umongous impact on the NASA. Therefore, they teach their courses on computers, it is easier for
kids to mermorise it with games and activities on
computers. They call it “The Classroom of the Future”
WHO IS USING TECHNOLOGY INTO THEIR CLASSROOMS? (NEXT)
I personally believe that it is a great idea to teach kids through computer, and the NASA, has it all figured out. You just have to make the kids focus on the specific subject you are trying to teach. The NASA’s main goal is to interest the kids enough that once they are done with that specific class, they want to become astronauts.

REWARDS
The during the project of equipping classrooms with new computers and technology, many renown companies have made educational technology a priority, for instance, Bestbuy has given $2,000 for “Integrating technology to the curriculum”, that is according to the article “Bedford Schools receive $2K BestBuy teach Award” form www.cabinet.com. Educational Technology has not been around for that long, so companies know that if they can help in anyway possible they want to do it.
REWARDS (NEXT)
BestBuy isn’t the only one doing it, a company called Chandler Firm, is going to give away “more than $100,000 in computer equipment for a handful of school” according to a article entitled “Chandler Firm rewards school for using technology to teach” by Paul O’Grady. It has become an habit for major companies to promote computer teaching, since 1998 many more teachers know what to do and the expectations needed from teaching through computers
Personally, the aid received from major companies can only be helpful and I believe that it is only the beginning, many more will donate and make sure that it is enhanced by many more.

CONCLUSION:
To conclude, I am FOR educational technology, I believe it’s tomorrow’s successful future teaching kids. It will make it more fun for our kids than it was for us (I loved W200). The only con about doing computer to teach, is the lack of money which could prevent some counties to do such a thing. Today I have explained what is educational technology, who is involved, and what kind of reward you could get by transforming your school into a computer lab.
