receive a Diamond Award.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be

given to the participants accordingly

based on on-site judging scores.

The Best Booth award also awaits the

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT OF

INNOVATION COMPETITION 2018

UiTM Terengganu Branch is proud to host the 3rd

Educational Project of Innovation Competition

2018 which will be held on 22 September 2018 at

Dewan Lestari, UiTM Kuala Terengganu City

Campus, Terengganu. This year, we have chosen

the theme ‘Innovations by Creative Minds’ to

provide opportunities for students, academicians

and industry innovators to showcase their

creative inventions, innovations and designs. This

competition will also serve as a platform for

establishing network and collaborations among

the participants. Educational Project of

Innovation Competition or also known as EPIC is a

biennial event organized by the Department of

Research, Industry Community and Alumni

Network of UiTM Terengganu Branch to

acknowledge inventive and innovative designs

and ideas from all participants.

OBJECTIVES

1. To gather innovative individuals to share

ideas, exhibit and present inventions,

innovations and designs.

2. To foster an inventive and innovative culture

among the communities.

3. To encourage product inventions,

innovations and designs which can be

patented and commercialized.

4. To establish an industry network and promote

innovative products to the communities and

local entrepreneurs.

GENERAL GUIDELINES AND FORMAT

1. Participants are required to display a model /

product / prototype / sample / illustration to

be evaluated by the panel of judges.

2. The poster will be printed by the organizer.

3. Participants must prepare a poster using the

template which can be downloaded from

the 3rd EPIC 2018 website and submit the

completed poster to the organizer before or

on 20 August 2018.

4. The poster must have the project title, name

of the group members, logo of the school,

institution or agency and other details of the

project which include abstract, objectives,

novelty, usefulness, commercialization

potential and awards or recognitions

received.

5. Preferred language is English or Bahasa

Melayu.

6. Participants are encouraged to provide

additional materials such as brochures, flyers,

pictures, certificates of appreciation or

recognition and other appropriate materials

to be presented to the judges.

7. Exhibition booth which includes one table,

one chair and a source of electricity unit will

be provided by the organizer. However, the organizer will not provide the LCD projector,

laptop, extension cable and the internet

access. Participants are encouraged to

bring their own devices if necessary.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

1. All participants are required to register via

online http://tiid.uitm.edu.my/epic

2. One paid registration allows only one project

(WITH NOT MORE THAN 5 MEMBERS) to be

exhibited.

3. Registration fee covers two name tags, two

bottles of mineral water and one certificate

of participation.

Registration and payment may be performed

from August 15 until September 10, 2018.
