SUMMARY

The Education Outreach Manager is part of the Education program team. The Manager provides leadership in the execution of NCLR projects related to college and career readiness systems. This position can be located at NCLR headquarters in Washington, DC, or the Texas Regional office in San Antonio, TX and reports to the Deputy Vice President of Education and Workforce Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Link policy developments to programs and practices. Examine current data to support program development. Assist grantees in using research, data, and policy summaries to engage their local constituencies. Stay current on education initiatives and trends. Manage relationships with allies and other education organizations. Manage relationships with NCLR Affiliates and other critical stakeholder groups. Coordinate project-related activities, including convenings of NCLR Affiliates and national partners. Develop materials related to project deliverables. Write blog posts or articles for publication. Provide training and technical assistance on college and career readiness to NCLR Affiliates and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.A. in communications, administration, or a related field required Excellent written skills in English and the ability to produce work products suitable for a wide array of audiences Strong presentation/training skills Ability to lead an effective team Ability to work as part of team Experience in working with Latino community-based organizations Experience in organizing outreach campaigns to the Latino community Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
