Whatisamission?Amissionisasetofconfigurationoptionsthatareusedtomanageyourmodule.Missionparametersinclude:

1. Anameforthemoduleandhowoftentemperatureisread

2. Howandwhenthemoduleshouldbegintrackingdata(thestartupmode)

3. Highandlowalarmlimits

4. WhetherornotdatashouldbepushedtotheCloud

5. Whetherornottouseapasswordtoprotectagainstunwantedstoppingorreprogrammingofamission

used,witha3-secondbuttonpress.Thisactivatesthemoduleandstartsdataloggingwiththedefaultprofile(seeForEDGES-400only:Activatingmissionwithasinglebutton-pressonpage34).


SettingupEDGECloudaccess

HowitworksMissiondatacanbepushedbyyoursmartphoneortabletfromyourEDGES-400orEDGEM-300moduletotheEDGECloudserviceviayourregularInternetconnection(i.e.cellularorWi-Fi).ThedatacanthenbeaccessedandsharedfromcomputersovertheinternetviatheEDGEVueWebapplication.

First,youmustaccesstheEDGEVueWebapplicationanduseittocreateyourcompanyaccounttoaccesstotheEDGECloudandthedifferentuseraccounts.Theseaccountsarelinkedtoyourcompanyaccount.

ForEDGEM-300modules,youmustenteravouchernumberauthorizingaspecificnumberofmodulesforaspecificperiodoftime.

EDGES-400modulesareprovidedwithCloudaccess.

PleasecontactyoursalesrepresentativeformoreinformationonCloudaccess.

ForagivenmissiontobepushedtoEDGECloud,youmustprovideaClouduseraccountnameinEDGEVuemobile,onthesmartphoneortabletthatis

usedtoprogramthemodule(SettingsèCloudaccount).Youmustusethelogininformationforanaccountlinkedtoyourcompany(yoursoranotheraccount)topushmissiondatatotheCloud.

Then,whenthemoduleisonamission,otheruserswithEDGEVuemobileinstalledontheirmobiledevicecanreadyourdataloggermodule,forexampleatintermediarylocationsduringthemission.Thoseusersdonothavetoconfigureanythingintheirsmartphonesortablets.Theysimplyremain“anonymous,”yettheycanalsopushmissiondatatoEDGECloud.Theaccountinformationisonlynecessarywhenstartingandstoppingamission.

Aswithprogramming,onlymobiledevicesconfiguredwithauseraccountlinkedtoyourcompanyaccountareallowedtostopamissionthathasbeenpushedtotheEDGECloud.


AssigningyourEDGECloudaccountinEDGEVue

AssigntheEDGECloudaccounttoyourmobiledevice(oneaccountperdevice)asfollows:

1. InSettingsèCloudaccount,enterthesameEmailaddressandPasswordthatwereconfiguredusingEDGEVueWebforyourCloudaccount.

2. TaponAssign

3. ProceedwithStartinganewmission(nextpage).

1. FromtheScanscreen,tap torefreshthelistofvisibleEDGEmodules.Missionsmaybedefinedandstartedformodules
