¿What is Ecochic Estilo ConSentido?

Ecochic Estilo ConSentido is a project to create awareness among consumers and producers of fashion on the

importance of reducing our impact on the environment. To perform this activity, we share information and develop

products that encourage responsible consumption fashion.

Since 2007 we are active and we have created a community of more than 3,000 people worldwide. In Ecochic Estilo

ConSentido, we permanently seek new ways to reach more people to achieve our purpose: that respect for life is

fashionable.

For this we have a multidisciplinary team of collaborators, partners and consultants who share with us their time and ideas. With their support we were able to make more than

30 swap events, a fashion show, a concert, several conferences and update our social networks with interesting

and useful information for our community.

¿What is the Trueque Ecochic?

The Trueque Ecochic was born on the 7.7.7 for the Live Earth Day celebration organized by Al Gore. The Trueque Ecochic is an event where participants exchange clothes they no longer use but are in good condition. This idea is born because although fashion is ephemeral, clothes are not. And a garment that is someone's trash today, can be

another's treasure.

Today Trueque Ecochic is a brand that identifies with responsible consumption of fashion in Colombia,

alternative forms of consumption and sustainability.

To create a Trueque Ecochic is very easy, you just need your clothes, your friends, a place and a lot of imagination. In this guide we give instructions and

tips we have learned after all these years organizing!

¿How does the Trueque Ecochic work?

The Trueque Ecochic is an informal event where fashionistas and environmentally aware people

meet to share their treasures and to give new life to those old objects.

The Trueque Ecochic has three stages: (1) the delivery of objects by the participants; (2) the organization of the items delivered and (3) the

exchange of garments.

The Trueque Ecochic ultimately is a party that celebrates fashion, responsible consumption,

innovation and community.

¿Cómo organizar un Trueque Ecochic?

Invite your friends using your social networks. The easiest way is to create an event on FB.

The day of the event receive and filter the garments people bring. For each garment a person brings, give them a card.

Organize and display, with the help of friends, the garments and objects.

¿Cómo organizar un Trueque Ecochic?

You can offer a Green Drink created by you to your guests or you can also organize Eco activities such as workshops, films, videos.

Declare open the barter Ecochic. From this point people can look and choose what to take.

Receive the cards in exchange of clothes or objects and make sure each card means someone takes an item.

1.Fashion can and should be ethical. 2.We promote a conscious style: socially, environmentally, culturally.3. Fashion is ephemeral, clothes not. 4.The Trueque Ecochic makes daily life fashionable.5. The Trueque Ecochic is a place to promote ethical fashion.6. In the Trueque Ecochic we mainly exchange clothes, sometimes objects. 7.Bring clothes that if you didn't had you'd like to take. 8.All items you bring are in perfect condition.9.Garments in the barter become objects of desire.10. Barter promotes solidarity and cooperation.

Terms and recommendations (Your guests should know them before. These are some

examples but you can add things)

To participate in the exchange participants must pre-register and pay the registration fee. The value is used

to cover the costs of the event.

The Trueque Ecochic is a non-profit event. Items that do not pass the filter will be returned without exception

(unless otherwise noted for the specific event).

When you deliver an item for barter, you're doing it as a donation and forfeit your right to claim in return.

Terms and recommendations

There are a limited number of participants, when it is reached, more entries and / or participations will not be

allowed.

The credits that are not used in this event can be used in events held in the same year only (if other Trueque Ecochic

events will happen).

If there will not be more events in the year and you have not redeemed credits you are entitled to a gift that is

defined by the organization and will be available while supplies last.

Bartering is one to one, meaning that if you bring a garment you can take any other no matter what, as long

as it meets the principles of barter.

those of Ecochic Estilo ConSentido.

Communication materials from Ecochic Estilo ConSentido are owned by Ecochic Estilo Consentido, but

may be used by the organizers.
