Today I Learned… Today I learned about when Jesus died for me and when He was buried in the tomb.
Memory Verse: At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden. A new tomb was there. No one had ever been put in it before. That day was the Jewish Preparation Day, and the tomb was nearby. So they placed Jesus there. John 19:41-42
Questions to Ask: 1. Why did Jesus die for us?
2. Where was Jesus buried?
3. How many days was Jesus in the tomb?
Family Time:
Review with your child the memory verse everyday.

Because He Loves Craft This craft is to teach children why and who Jesus died for. The children will understand at the end that everything that Jesus went through, was out of obedience and love.
Material:
1. (2) file folders for each child
2. 1 set of printables for each child (hearts, hand, bible verse, cover and back)
3. Crayons
4. Yarn or ribbon
5. Tape
6. Glue
7. Scissors
Instructions:
Ask the children why Jesus died. Have them write it on the blank hearts and then color.
Color the hearts with the pictures on them and discuss that Jesus also died for the world, our mommy’s and daddy’s, etc.
Cut and glue “Jesus hands” to the bottom of the file folder (hold it vertical) and color.
Cut out all the hearts and glue some of them around the hands
Attach yarn or ribbon to the left over hearts and tape the yarn to the top of the file folder. It should look as if they are falling into the hands.
Paste cover to folder
