Dear Brothers and Sisters,

For almost two thousand years, the Church has proclaimed an amazing message: Jesus Christ, crucified and put to death, is risen from the dead! This is the heart of the Good News, that actually begins with sad news: that you and I are lost in our sins, whose deep wounds are destroying us, but that God has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior who died to set us free and offer us a whole new life. Alive now, it is He who calls to you at this very moment, who is drawing you to Himself, that He might save you and give to you a whole new life. He died to give you this life, and having been raised from the dead, He ascended to the Father, where He is drawing you to Himself even now, calling you by name, to establish in you a new, more glorious, and hopeful life. Brothers and sisters, this Easter let us come to Him, and through His Body the Church, here in the life of our parish family, let Him begin this good work in us. Happy Easter!

OLPH PARISH MISSION

MAY 13,14,15

“Spiritual Freedom: God’s Life Changing Gift”

Led by Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, God wants you to be freer. There is

always more freedom, more grace, more forgiveness, more mercy, more God.

What is a Parish Mission? A mission is an opportunity to experience faith, prayer and the sacraments in a heightened and more intense way that gives new meaning and purpose to life and our relationship with God.

Our Parish Mission will be led by Fr. Dave Pivonka (from Franciscan University in Steubenville), known for his dynamic preaching, writing and other spiritual work. He will be leading us into greater freedom:

Monday, May 13 – “The God of Freedom” with confessions offered afterward. Tuesday, May 14 – “The Cross and Hope – God and Our Suffering” and Eucharistic Adoration and worship. Wednesday, May 15 – “Living in Freedom Life Abundantly” Mass with Extended Homily and Reception to follow.

Join us each night at 7:00pm in the church!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Extended Pentecost Vigil Mass Saturday, May 18 at 7:00pm.

As Mary and the Apostles awaited the coming of the Holy Spirit in prayer and vigil, we await the descent of the Holy Spirit and

celebrate the birth of the Church. Please join us for a special Mass with additional

Scripture, Prayer, and Worship, asking for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The evening

will continue with food and fellowship!

Annual OLPH Parish Picnic Sunday, June 9 - After the 5:00pm Mass. Enjoy a fun and relaxing evening with fellow

parishioners! Great food, games and activities! RSVPs will be requested in May.

Adoration, Praise & Worship Friday, May 3 and June 7 at 7:30pm

Join us for an hour of adoration, praise and worship before Jesus in the Eucharist.

Experience the joy of spending time in the Lord’s presence, drawn close in worship and

prayer as our musicians lead us. All are welcome!

Separated and Divorced

The Church does want you!

Having experienced the path of separation and divorce can leave a Catholic with many

questions. For more information call Sr. Lorraine at 410-747-4334
