EEA, formerly Eagle EG&G Aerospace, was founded in 1988 as a joint venture between the U.S. high-tech conglomerate EG&G and Eagle Industry Co., Ltd. (the core company of the NOK group, a Japanese pioneer in seal engineering). Eagle Industry acquired 100% equity in EEA in 1999 to control business expan-sions. In 2000, the company name was changed to Eagle Engineering Aero-space Co., LTD.EEA has achieved good results in a wide variety of design, manufacture, engin-eering, procurement, and technical information services related to aerospace machinery and components. Aerospace engineering involves massive consider-ation in areas of high pressures, high temperature and cryogenic, vacuums, and high-speed rotation, bundled with reliability diagnostics. With methods of testing and evaluation reaching higher levels, greater reliability and complexity in this field is demanded. Also, because energy conservation and cost reduction are on a global scale, aerospace technology is becoming more diverse and complex. EEA is aiming to be at the leading edge of this era by compiling technology and engineering knowledge, expanding parts supply, and building a global engineer-ing information network.

With its technical experience, EEA is proud of its ability to provide engineering "SKILLS" in the areas of software and hardware. Al-though seal engineering and friction control technology are still the core of EEA, it is this engineering base that allows us to foresee and solve development and operational themes. Our knowledge also enables us to organize and manage collaborative projects while taking into account environmental, social and economic require-ments. As technical specialists we set our sights on the vision of the next generation. We developed this image from "INSIGHT" gained through technical analysis.Thus, our main engineering concept is called "Technologies-Analytic Service for Aircraft & Space ".EEA, as a group of Tech-Analysts, is aimed to be a "Theme Identifier", a "Problem Solver", and a "Strategic Coordinator" in the development and operation of aviation and space equipment. The Solution Process we use is as follows:

1. Brainstorming: In focusing on the problem we have identified, we integrate information while reviewing various data, thus find-ing new directions and options for the solution.

2. System Thinking: Based on the selected approach, we look at the problem from every angle in order to bring to light the inter-relationships between all the factors. Thus, systematically, we discern the central problem and the relationship between it and other factors.

3. Experimentation: From a detailed estimate, we pursue a suitablesolution through precise experimentation.

4. Project Management: We consider each individual task withfuture integration in mind, and thus develop a mutually profitable means for managing the program.

As the global economy came into being, the world has shifted to a more open marketplace, and this has brought a wave of deregula-tion that has rippled through the aerospace industry. We are enter-ing into an era of borderless competition and of global standards.A new framework for the aerospace industry is emerging whereby we must go beyond the search for a prosperous human society and the development of the economy to conserve resources, save ener-gy and preserve the earth by reducing CO2 emission and other means.Through Tech-Analytic Service, EEA will break through what-ever future developments or restrictions may surface in the busi-ness frontiers.

SIGHTS SET ON THE NEXT GENERATION - Envisioning the Future

EEA began with major components like dynamic seals, static seals, welded bellow valves in fluid sealing and friction control technology, but has since expanded into a wide range of aerospace design and manufacturing fields such as turbine engines, gearboxes, duct systems, pneumatic systems and fuel systems. EEA has also expanded into space development areas such as rocket engines, turbopumps, satellites, space station equipment, and indeed, the rockets themselves.Through cooperation with NASDA, Japan Aviation Engine Association, and advanced projects in R&D, EEA has won high appreciation for its technology and engineering in structural analysis and design, and high-accuracy, high-precision processes.

Licensed for production of jet fighter aircraft and engine

maintenance, the company pursued the limits of perfor-

mance which drove the introduction of leading edge materi-

als, processes, mechanism design and the latest in technol-

ogy.Eagle Industry, parent company of EEA, had developed

the gearbox seals for the J47 engine used for F86 in 1966. It

also developed a wide variety of aircraft products such as

mainshaft seals for the T58, T64, TJ79, JT8D, FJR710, F100

and aircraft seals, valves, ducts for the KV107, C-1, F4-EJ,

YS-11, F104J, F-15J and P-3C.

To build on the achievements of Eagle Industry, EEA came

into being as a member of the EG&G Fluid Components

Technology Group, a group that is proud of its worldwide

achievements in the aerospace industry.

Since then, EEA has been establishing a reputation as a

group of engineering specialists, dedicated to the domestic

aircraft industry as well, through participation in projects like

the V2500 engine.In the satellite business field, we started

with the pump seals for liquid fuel rockets in 1967, contribut-

ing to all N and H type rocket projects.

EEA is also a manufacturer of the main functional devices

for earth observation satellites and the JEM project, part of

the International Space Station project.With this rich techni-

cal background, EEA will continue to actively promote R&D

and the global network for technical information and materi-

CIRCUMFERENTIAL SEGMENTED SEALS

Seals are comprised of a set of segmented carbon rings which contact the shaft to form a circumferenetial dynamic seals and reduce heat generation and wear and to optimize dy-namic response.

WELDED BELLOWS FACE TYPE SEALS

This type is a stationary ,"face" type seal with an all metallic construction. Originally designed for extreme environmental applications, this series seal has found its way into a wide array of applications.

Our mission of developing, advancing and protectingtechnical excellence in space applications.

EEA had participated in the development project from the stage of the basic research which begins in Japan and began to develop a domestic rocket.The theme of the development research with which we were mainly concerned was development of the seal which functions under the special environment like cryo-genic temperature, high pressure, or a high vacuum.And since the remarkable good result was obtained in this field, EEA has participated also in the development project of present H rocket project as a development manufacturer of important parts.The rocket projects in which we participated are the tur-bine pump seal used for LE-5 or LE-7 engine, fluid con-trol apparatus, and the seal system of a fuel systems.

CIRCUMFERENTIAL SEGMENTED SEALSIt is used for the turbine pump of a liquid oxygen and a liquid-hydrogen rocket en-gine, and is used as a seal of high tempera-ture gas and helium gas.

WELDED METAL BELLOWSIt is welded metal bellows type mechanical seal for fuel line of the rocket engine. It could prevent leakage at very low temperature.

CLEARANCE SEALSA clearance seal is a gas seal for fuel of a turbine pump, and is used on high tempera-ture and high pressure condition.

VALVESValve is used for control of the oil pressure system of engine, control of gas, and control of a gas jet.

STATIC SEALSIn cryogenic temperature, high temperature, and high-pressure environment, it is used as a seal of the piping system,or a vessel. And, in the space environment, it is used as a seal of manhole, for a chamber and afuel tank.

METAL BELLOWSIt is used in order to absorb the expansion of volumetric change or displacement compensa-tion of piping system caused by temperature change under the space environment.

METALLIC FILTERSThe unique etched disc filters is used for abso-lute rated filtration of gases and liquids aboard satellites and spacecraft.

TRANSITION TUBESIt is the tube which made from different metal like titanium and a stainless using the special jointing method. It is used for various apparatus and the piping system of a satellite.

Although the labyrinth type seal has been conventionally used for a mainshaft seal, the face type with few amounts of gas leak-age is in use today because of the im-provement in an engine performance.A face type seal normally remains station-ary; it is secured in the housing by an inter-ference fit. A rotating mating ring is moun-ted on the shaft. A fixation side seal is a carbon seal which used carbon graphite for the seal surface, acquires load with a spring force and is in-tegrated with the secondary seal which used the metallic piston ring correspond-ing to high temperature conditions.A mating ring is a part made from nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel and the chro-mium carbide, excellent in the wear resis-tance under high temperature, is coated on the seal surface. Besides, the small holes which flush lubricating oil are prepared in

the inside of a ring at the radial direction for cooling of a seal surface. When lubri-cating conditions are especially bad, the structure of leading lubricating oil is also taken to a seal surface for cooling. On usu-al operating conditions, since a gas cham-ber side subject to high pressure, then the design of a face type seal is adopted.

In order to seal compressed air and high temperature gas, and the lubricating oil, the main shaft seal of jet engine is used in the very severe conditions under high pressure or high temperature in the entrance and the back exhaust part of a combustion chamber, In recent years, responding to output power improvement, gas pressure to be sealed is more and more increasing, and the leakage from a seal part cannot be neglected in high performance engines, because of causing such as oxidization of lubricating oil, and a waste oil pump size must be increased to respond to this trend. In a main shaft seal application, EEA is the only one company in Japan who has the results. In order to re-spond to a trend of higher performance of jet engines, our structure design technology, which controls the composition material technology and load of a seal technology, is widely applied.

The segmented type seals are comprised of a set of segmented carbon rings, which are held together by loads produced from the garter springs, contact the shaft or runner to form a circumferential dynamic seal.The outer side of a main shaft and the inter-nal surface of this segmented seal works as seal surface.The contact surface of seal housing and a seal ring serves as a static secondary seal.

Many slots are provided in the internal sur-face of a seal ring, the pressure of the gas by the high pressure is lead just before the low-pressure boundary of a contact seal sur-face to minimize the area which is generat-ing squeeze force in proportion to it's area.According to this structure, the force of a seal surface is as small as 0.5 kgf/cm2 and could suppress heat generation.A segmented seal can make the displace-ment allowance of the axial direction larger than a face type seal.And the cross section space which a seal occupies can also be make smaller.By this fact, even when especially bearing size is big, the seal weight could be main-tained light.On the other hand, with the seal of the front part main bearing of turbofan engine, that seal load is especially small because of low differential pressure, liable to cause oil leak-age, particularly in the case when there is al-most no air pressure. In the FJR710 engine (experimental aircraft named "Aska"), a fine helical grooves are slotted in the diameter of the inside of segmented seal to draw leaking oil back to lubrication room by function of hydraulic suction.

The 700 series is the general term of the mechanical seal for high-speed application in which a O ring for the static seal is used. Since the main part of a seal is a mating ring and fixed on the rotating shaft, it is ex-cellent in the high-speed application and the dynamic balance like the 800 series.There are a stamped housing type suitable for high speed and low load rotation and a machined housing type suitable for high structural rigidity and heavy duty.Both series are designed light in weight and compact in size.Especially a machined housing type is the structure where pressure balance can be adjusted in the large range, and can widely set up the application pressure range.As for a high-speed seal application, a stamped housing type is widely used for gearbox seal and is also used in many ap-plication, such as a main shaft of helicopter engine, a fuel pump, an oil pressure pump, and a fuel control systems.

Carbon graphite is generally used for the material of the seal ring of a static side, and hardening steel, nitriding steel or hard mate-rial coated steal is used for the matingring.Under the medium speed and a pressure condition, it is possible to obtain a good lu-bricating condition by using oil spray config-uration, while in the high speed and temper-ature condition, oil jet cooling toward mating ring is used for cooling.

The 800 series is the general term of the mechanical seal which used the nesting type (stacked type) metal welded bellows for the stationary side and excels in the perfor-mance of the dynamic responsibility at high-speed and is applicable from cryogenic to high temperature range.In order to isolate the influence of an axial vi-bration of the bellows produced under high-speed rotation and to increase dynamic re-sponsibility, a damper is attached to evade resonance. If welding is applicable, it is pos-sible to use any material for bellows.Generally, deposit hardening stainless steel (AM350) or Inconel 718, X750 are used for bellows.Corresponding to the trend of higher temper-ature requirement of a sealing contact por-tion, the material with high thermal stability is required for a sealing material.For this reason, the carbon graphite excel-lent in self-lubricity, heat resistance and cor-rosion resistance, and the heat shock resis-tance is used for a stationary-side seal ring.It is used for the seals where the reduction of mounting spaces is required.

Examples are such as a main shaft of a small gas turbine, various gearboxes, such as helicopter engine, and the fuel turbo-pump of H rocket engines. They are featur-ing high performance under the high-speed and severe condition.

Although the practical speed limit of the mechanical seal for high-speed application is said to be about 100m/s, this limit is originated by the dynamic responsibility, and heat generation level caused by fric-tion.Especially, under a high-speed condition, heat decomposition of the oil occurs by temperature rise of a sealing contact portion, and damage a surface or it deposits on a seal part, and also sealing contact portion material exceeds a heat resistant limit, and a seal is worn out at an ear-ly stage.For this reason, removal of heat generated by friction, such as installa-tion of a cooling system, serves as the important device which influen-ces a seal performance and a life.In EEA, original research and development are conducted to these en-gineering subjects, and various dynamic seals, such as a metal weld-ing bellows type, O ring seal type, a clearance seal, and a segmented seal, and the marginal performance of a seal sealing material are stud-ied.

Since a segmented seal requires the pres-sure balance of a seal for the maximum, it can suppress a heat generated by friction low. However, when there are few differen-tial pressure of gas and lubricating oil, or when oil tends to penetrate into a seal part, since seal load is small, oil leak may be caused to a gas side. For this reason, it is necessary to design the configuration of a sealing contact portion so as lubricating oil coming as little as possible. To solve this is-sue, attaching a runner for cooling itself from inside, or in the event of cooling out-side the runner, combination of oil jet and slinger is used.Besides, penetration of oil is prevented by the combination of the slotted chopper on the axis and with the spiral windback as shown in a figure.When a differential pressure is small, in or-der that oil may penetrate into an air side caused by oil viscosity, pressurized air is supplied with tandem type structure de-sign, and oil leak is prevented.

It is the seal of a non contact type and used in order to mainly intercept a gas leakage for the high-speed, the high pressure, and the high temperature application which can't be realized with using a face type seal. It is de-signed so that a minimum clearance could be maintained between the carbon ring built into housing, and a shaft, and a primary sealing is held by this clearance and a secondary seal-ing is obtained by the contact surface be-tween a carbon ring and the housing. More-over, in order that a minute differential pressure condition may also maintain a sec-ondary sealing performance, the pressure load of a contact surface is obtained by the wave spring. Because of a non contact type, there are very few heat generation, clearance seal could serve a long life term, and can suppress gas leak about 1/10th comparing with a labyrinth seal type.Therefore, the improvement of engine effi-ciency, and miniaturizing the size and weight reduction can be achieved with this configur-ation.In the liquid-oxygen turbopump application for rockets, it is used as a sealing of liquid oxygen, and combustion hydrogen gas at the oxygen pump part and the turbine part for a drive. And high reliability has been acquired with the seal characteristic under a high dif-ferential pressure condition, with the dynamic responsibility to temperature change is im-proved.

Usually, amating ring is located next to a bearing and is being fixed on the shaft.Since the seal for high-speed tends to sub-ject high temperature generated by friction, it is necessary to use a sealing material within the range of a heat-resistant limit, then the contact load to a seal side is de-signed to be the minimum level.Although the roughness of a seal surface is finished by 0.9 micrometers or less, when it is actually used, distortion arises in a sur-face by various factors, and a leak may be occurred. As a big factor of this leakage is thought to be caused by distortion of the surface where attaching a mating ring, and the deflection of a surface itself.Especially when the thickness of the axial direction of a mating ring is small, and if a waviness is existing on the fixing contact surface, the distortion could be appeared by the influence of this fixing force.If the fixing force of the axial direction is greatly biased, a moment will be appeared and would act on a mating ring and distor-tion will be produced on the radial direction in a seal surface.Such distortion in many cases results in leakage increasing. Then, installation accu-racy greatly influences on a seal perfor-mance .On the other hand, in order to cool a seal effectively, a mating ring is playing a im-portant roll. For that purpose, there are sev-eral methods as of enlarging cooling area, a method of passing cooling oil inside a mating ring, and the method of increasing cooling efficiency using copper alloy for the good thermal conductivity.

EEA has been engaged from 1967 in devel-opment of the seal system of the mechanical face seal for high-speed rotation pumps used for domestic liquid fuel rocket engines.This mechanical face seal is used under cryogenic temperature, high temperature, and high-speed environment.EEA has obtained high evaluation as an im-portant parts development manufacturer also in subsequent N rocket project and H rocket project.LE-5 and the LE-7 engine, which were devel-oped by domestic technology, are using liq-uid hydrogen and liquid oxygen for propul-sion system.EEA has performed development of the seal system that intercepts the zone of the very low temperature propulsion substance in the turbine pump used for engine, and the high temperature gas for a drive, design, and manufacturing.

The increase in efficiency of a gas turbine progressed and the demand that reduces the rate of fuel consumption and NOx has in-creased to the 1990s.Accordingly, the demand of the brush seal used in order to decrease the leakage of the air by the side of secondary seal, necessary in order to raise the performance of a gas tur-bine, has increased.EEA started development of the brush seal for high temperature in 1991, and has been engaged in a design for aircrafts, and an in-dustrial gas turbine, and is manufacturing brush seals as a special manufacturer.A brush seal is a seal which consists of a densely packed, fine nickel chromium alloy wires which prevents leakage and is a new seal which substitutes the labyrinth seal used so far.

The wire arrayed on a 45-degree angle against the tangent of the shaft surface they are configured to run against and has the structure, which follows flexibly to the size change by heat expansion, and the shake of a rotor.Although the brush seal has a clearance slightly between the shaft at the time of oper-ation start, when the operation is entering in a stationary state, it is designed that the clearance between the shaft is almost lost.A labyrinth seal is worn out by contact on an axis, as a result, a clearance increases, and a leakage amount also becomes large.However, a brush seal can maintain a high performance over a long period of time.Recently, it came to be widely used for the engine for aircrafts, and the gas turbine used on the ground.

A straight-line type brush seal is a seal with which the element portion of a brush consists of a straight line-like, and it is used in order to reduce the leakage caused by the clear-ance between structures.Since it is easily formed to adjust to the mat-ing parts, it could be used for a wide appli-cation.The structure itself becomes large in the large sized gas turbine, a deterioration of a performance also becomes large caused by a large amount of clearance.Straight line type brush seal can reduce the leakage from the clearance between the combustion chamber of gas turbines, such as this, and the leakage from the clearance between static wings, it can raise the perfor-mance of a gas turbine.

"C " seal is a metal elastic gasket with the section of the shape of "C" type which re-moved a part of "O" type of metal O ring, and is excellent in the low load character-istic and has a advantage under pres-sure.There are 2 of an internally pressurized type and an externally-pressurized face type.It can correspond also to various non-cir-cular form such as a quadrangle, an el-lipse form, and race track form.Especially in the low load characteristics, a fixing force is less than about a half of metal O ring caused by this suitable "C" form.Therefore, also in the compressed condi-tion, a contact force can go up by line contact, and a sealing portion can ac-quire the big seal effect by surface coat-ing material.Besides, unlike metal O ring, it is a spe-cial feature to exhibit sealing capability to the extent that it follows a maximum dis-placement of 0.25 mm of flange surface helped by the self-sealing character.

"E" seal is a metal gasket for gas seals corresponding under the conditions that deflection of a flange is large. There are 2 kinds of standard type in E seal. The first one is an internally pressurized while the other is an externally pressurized type. And, there is an E seal with a large seal height, and this is an excellent seal in elasticity. Initial load is small comparing with C seal, the flexibility to flange defor-mation is extremely high, and it can be used to the elastic limit of the material used, and even if mounting and dismount-ing is repeated, the original form of a seal is maintained. Furthermore, EEA could provide the flexible type "Ultra High Flex" as an E seal which consists of two or more convolutions which can correspond to high elastic bending conditions. As a seal of the part as for which the space of the mating seal surface moves greatly, especially E seal is the optimum and has obtained high performance evaluation as a high temperature part for ducting case seal of aviation engine application.

The NAFLEX seal is composing of forked

type cross section obtained from detailed

stress analysis, and the seal lip part pres-

ents a projected form.

This is the highly effective self force in-

creasing type metal gasket which acquires

the seal load to which the fluid pressure is

applied. The elastically stable part of a fork

and a fork part acts on a seal lip part, and

can correspond to pressure change by

compressing a lip part. High elasticity is

maintained under severe conditions, such

as high temperature, cryogenic tempera-

ture, high pressure, and a vacuum. With

this high elasticity, since a sealing is ob-

tained by the minimum fixing force, the

structure wall thickness of a seal attach-

ment part can be made thin, and the light-

ening of piping or apparatus can be ach-

ieved.

Teflon coating and silver plating are given

to the seal lip part surface, and the seal

performance is increased.

EEA static type seal is the same composition as metal O ring, and the temperature characteristic. It is the metal elastic gas-ket series which increased the capability and gives elasticity and can trace by special structure design corresponding to distortion of a flange. It has the characteristic which is not in metal 0 ring. Because, it has the wide range of application capability from cryogenic temperature to high temperature, and self sealing character which conducts the force increas-ing in response to pressure increasing and the improvement of corrosion resistance by coating, and the improvement in the joining nature to a flange, and the spring characteristic are excellent, it is possible to use repeatedly. EEA static type seal is mainly used as an object for gas seals in duct related products, such as the housing of gas turbine engine, the joint of a rocket engines turbine pumps, and couplings. In other case, there is a wide range application for gas and a seal for liquids in the range from a high vacuum to a high pressure.

Joints could be specified into two types, as fixed type and flexible. Typical fixed type ap-plication is shown in V shape flange joints which use E seal. On the other hand, the typi-cal flexible type application is shown in tube-seal.

REGID JOINTS

V type flange joint, belonging to fixed type, consists of three composition parts. They are composing of machined two flanges having a mating seal surface, and "E seal" which is a metal elastic gasket, and this configuration is featuring lightweight and robust coupling. E seal is a product made from a nickel-based alloy, and has a seal of the self sealing char-acter with a small fixing force. Since a snap fit can be available at a flange, even if the at-tachment surface has turned to the down-ward, mounting or dismounting of the seal is easy without dropping the seal off. Flexibility against bending and deformation of a flange and repeatable installation of the seal are thetypical featuring points. Besides, a biased loading is successfully prevented by V slot function, and even if a nut should loosen or a bolt is damaged, coupling has the fail-safe structure of preventing separation of a flange by latch mechanism,. In addition, caused by applied hinge design, it is characterized by not applying excessive stress into any portion during a installation procedure. And, it can also correspond to small, large-sized, and special form, and a material can use stainless steel, Inconel 718, titanium, and an aluminum alloy. And it is characterized by optimum light weight design, it can be adapted for many places in an aircraft. V type flange joint is used in the bleeding air piping connection part of an aircraft, and could increase reliabili-ty and also brings the cost performance maxi-mum.

FLEXIBLE JOINTS

The tube seal joint which is flexible type joint uses the precisely fabricated metallic seal (tube seal) of high strength with which the end presenting the spherical shape and this enables tube seal to trace elastic deformation. A tube seal is inserted into cy-linder shape which is slightly smaller than the diameter of a seal. The contact part of a seal can be slide in the axial direction, or can allow angular or twist motion. The tube seal is mechanically reinforced by thicker liner assembled inside and has a small clearance between sealing diameter and the liner. This clearance is the limit end that spherical seal could deform. The seal could bend until touching the liner, under maintaining elastic condition. With this sim-ple structure, it corresponds to the axial displacement including torsional and angu-lar direction. Comparing with the piston ring type seal, a leakage could be reduce by 2 figures. And there is slide capability to the axial direction without fatigue under heavy duty conditions, and the projection area of the seal body is very small, since a ball joint part is only a slightly larger than connecting pipe diameter. And, it is very compact size with the function of pressure compensation incorporated, and the rota-tional direction is characterized by free and the attachment error of the direction of an axis is also acceptable. It is utilized as new functional parts of an aircraft ducting.

In the housing of a flowmeter, there is a tur-bine rotor, which is rotated by the flow of flu-id through the meter body. An external pickoff senses the passing at each rotor blade through the electric field and converts it to an electronic output. There are two types of pickoff: one is a Modulated Carrier type (RF type), and the other is a Magnetic type. Both are capable of metering with superior response, linearity, and accuracy.A linearizer, mounted directly on the flow-meter, takes in the electronic and tempera-ture sensor output and sends it to a CPU. These data are linearized and corrected in comparison with calibration data (tempera-ture, viscosity, density, flow rate), which are registered in the memory in advance. By combining a turbine flowmeter and line-arizer, flow measurements at extremes, with range of 100:1 over the usual range, can be handled. Due to its lightweight, compact-ness and accurate performance, it is widely used for aircraft engine tests and onboard equipment.In addition, the flow computer enables sim-ple programming and system control, and there are various batch controllers and flight control modules.

Precision bulge forming is a method of forming parts by expanding from the in-side. Bulge forming forms parts up to 56 inches in diameter and 84 inches in length from one-piece welded cones or cylindrical shapes, instead of assem-bling various parts. As parts receive precise pressure con-trol in a pressure chamber, they are stretched beyond their yield point to the desired finished size. This method ben-efits productivity. In addition, through the use of unique pressure multipliers, two stage bulge forming can be used to set joggles, sharp corners and integral bead stiff-ness.Also, bulge forming, Titanium hot and cold forming, stretch forming, drop ham-mer forming and hydraulic forming are applied to a wide range of materi-als:Stainless steel, Inconel, Aluminum, Titanium, Hasteroy, RENE 41, laminat-ing, and casting metals. Particularly, plasticity of Inconel is being used to lighten space battery cases.

From the initial opportunity to develop the J47 gearbox in 1966, EEA has followed the course of domestic production of various main shaft seals, to the development of experimental rocket pump seals in 1967, to turbo pump seals for the H-2 rocket and on to the development of space prod-ucts. As a manufacturer of principal functional parts, and as an engineer-ing partner in terms of state-of-the art design and ultra preci-sion processing, EEA has achieved excellent results in multiple development projects. EEA has superior and distinc-tive design capabilities, manufacturing and quality assur-ance performance. In addition, EEA is preparing to expand the support system as a part of the aerospace technology / engineering network.
