Dishwasher detergent is corrosi ve! Take care to keep it outof reach of children.

IF THE WATER ISN'T TOO HARD, YOU MAY ALSO PREVENT THE FORMATION OF DEPOSITS BY ADDING DETERGENT.The amount of detergent need ed can vary due to differences in water hardness. To dete rmine the water hardness in your area, contact your local water utility or area water softening co mpany. The harder the water, the more deterg ent you may need.Remember, you should adjus t the amount of detergent you use by small amount s until you find the correct amount.

To remove hard water spots, try the following:Run dishes through a normal wash prog ram.Remove all metal dishware, such as cutlery, pans, etc.,from the dishwasher.Do not add detergent.Pour two cups of vinegar into a bowl and set the bowl faceup on the lower rack of the dishwasher.Run the dishes through a normal wash progr am.

If this doesn't work, try the same process with 1 / 4 cup ofcitric acid crystals instead of vinegar.

Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers.Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don't put powder detergentinto the dispenser until You're ready to wash dishes.

The dispense r must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle followin g the instructions provided in the" Wash CycleTa bl e" .Your d is hw ashe rs th an co nv en tio nal d is hw ash ers . Ge ner ally, o nl y o ne ta ble spoo n ofdetergent is needed fo r a normal wash load. Also, more heavily soiled items nee d more detergent. Always add the deterge nt justbefore starting dishwasher , otherwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properly.

use less detergent and rinse aid

To open the dispenser, t urn the cap to the "open" (left)arrow and lift it out.Pour the rinse aid into the dispenser, bein g careful not tooverfill.Replace the cap by inserting it aligne d with "open" arrowand turning it to the closed (right) arrow.

A measured amount of rinse aid is released during the fi nal rinse. As with detergent, the amountof rinse aid needed for your dishes depend s on the hardness of the water in your area. Too muchrinse aid can result in lather of foaming and cause clo udiness or steaks on your dishes . If thewater in your area is very soft, you may not need rinse aid. If you do,you can dilute the rinse ai dwith an equal amount of water. The rinse aid dispenser has six settings . Always start with the dispenser set on " 2 ". If spots andpoor drying are problems, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by removing the dispenserlid and rotating the dial to "3". If the dishes still are not drying properly o r are spotted, adjust thedial to the next higher number until your dishes are spot- free. We suggest you to set on "4" .

The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent waterfrom forming drople ts on your dishes that can leave spots andstreaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to "sheet" offthe dishes.

Your dishwashe rs are designed to use liquid rinse aids. Therinse aid dispens er is located inside the door next to thedetergent dispenser. To fill the dispenser, open the cap andpour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicatorturns completel y black. The volume of the rinse aid containe r isabout 140ml.

Be careful not to overfill the dispenser, because this couldcause oversuds ing. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth.Don't forget to replace the cap befo re you close the dishwasherdoor. If you have soft water, you may not need rinse aid for it maycause a white film to develop o n your dishes.

If there is no rinse aid warning light in the control panel , you can judge the amount of rinse aid by the following means . Theblack dot on the rinse aid dispen ser indicates the amount of rinse aid in the disp enser. As the rinse aid diminishes, the size ofthe black dot decrease s. You should never let the rinse aid get below 1 / 4 full.

As the rinse aid diminishes, the size of the black dot on the rinseaid level indicator changes, as illustrated below.

The upper rack is designed to hold more delicate and lighter dishware such as gla sses, coffee and tea cup and saucers, as wellas plates, small bowls and sha llow pans(as long as they are not too dirty).Position the dishes a nd cookware so that they do not get moved by the spray of water. The upper rack can be adjusted for heig ht by putting wheels of different heig ht into the rails.

We recommend that you place large items which are most difficult to clean into the lower rack: pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls, as shown in the figure to the right. It is preferable to place serving dishes and lids on the side of the racks in order to avoid blocking the rotation of thetop spray arm.

Pots, serving bowls, etc, must alway s be placed top down.Deep pots should be slanted to allow water to flow out.

The bottom rack feature fold down tine rows s o that larger or more pots and pans can be loaded.

    Coarse filter

Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could clog the drain are trapped in thecoarse filter. To remove an item caught in this filter, gent ly squeeze the tabs on top of thisfilter and lift it out.

For your convenience , we have placed the drain pump and filtering syste m within easy reach inside the tub. There are threecomponent s of the filtering system: the main filter, the coarse filter, and the fine filter.

    2

Fine filterThis filter holds soil and food residue in the sump area an d prevents it from beingredeposited on the dishes d uring a cycle.

Main filterFood and soil particles trapp ed by this filter are pulverized by a special jet on the lower sprayarm and washed down the drain.

    1

    3

Never run the dishwasher without the filters in place.

Filter assemblyFor best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned. The filter efficiently remov es food particles from the wash water, allowin g it to berecirculated during the cy cle. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove the largerfood particles trapped in the filter afte r each wash cycle by rinsing the semicircula rfilter and cup under running water. To remov e the filter assembly, pull on the cuphandle in the upward direction. The entire filter assembly should be cleanedonce a week.To clean the coarse filter and the fine filter, use a cleanin g brush. Then, reassemblethe filter parts as shown in the figures left and reinsert the entir e assembly in thedishwasher, positi oning in its seat and pressing downw ard.The dishwasher must never be used without the filters. Improper replacement of thefilter may reduce the performance level of the appliance and damage dishes and utensils.

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:

Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher.

Turn off the water supply and disconnect the waterinlet pipe from the water valve.

Drain water from the inlet and water valve.pipe(Use a pan to catch the water.)

Never use a spray cleaner to clean the door panel for it could damage the door lock and electrical comp onents. It is not allowedto use the abrasive agent or some paper towel beca useof the risk of scratching or leaving spots on the stain less steel surface.

To clean the edge around the door , you should use only a soft warm, damp rag. To preventpenetration of water into the door lock and elect rical components, do not use a spray cleane rof any kind. Also, never use abrasive cleane rs or scouring pads on the outer surfaces bec ause they willscratch the finish. Some papers towe ls can also scratch or leave marks on the surface .

After every wash, turn of f the water supply to theapplia nce and leave the door slightly ajar so thatmoisture and odors are not trapped inside.

Before cleaning or performing maintenance, alwaysremove the plug from the socket. Do not run risks.

To clean the exterior an d rubber parts of the dishwasher,do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products.Rather, use only a cloth and warm soapy water. To remove spots or stains from the surfac e of theinterior, use a cloth dampen ed with water and a littlewhite vinegar, or a cleaning product made specificallyfor dishwashers.

When you go on holiday, it is recommened that you run awash cycle with the dishwas her empty and then removethe plug from the socket, turn off the water supply andleave the door of the appliance slightly ajar . This will helpthe seals last longer and prevent odors from form ingwithin the appliance.

If the appliance must be moved, try to keep it in the verticalposition. If absolutely necessary, it can be positioned onits back.

One of the factors that cause odors to form in thedishwashe r is food that remains trapped in the seals.Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this

    from occurring.

Please see the rating lable to know the rating voltage and connect the dishwasher to appropriate power supply,Us e required fuse

12 amp. Fused electrical supply is required-copper wire only. Time delay fuse or circuit breaker recommended and provideseparate circuit serving only this appliance. Outlet should be placed in adjacent cabinet.

After making sure that the voltage and the frequen cy values for the current in the homecorrespond to those on the rating plat e and that the electrical system is sized for themaximum voltage on the rating plate , insert the plug into an electrical socket which isearthed properly. If the electric al socket to which the appliance must be conne cted is notappropriate for the , replace the socket, rather than using a adaptors or the like as

they could cause overheating and burns.plug

If the sink is 1000 higher from the floor, the excess water in hoses cannotbe drained directly into the sink. It will be necessary to drain excesswater from hoses into a bowl or suitable container that is held outside and lowerthan the sink.

Connect the cold water supp ly hose to a threaded 3/4(inch) connec tor and make sure that it isfastened tightly in place. If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extend ed period of time, let the waterrun to make sure that the water is clear and free of impurities. If this precaution is not taken, there is a risk that the water inlet can get blocked and dam age the appliance.

The water supply to the appliance can also be connected to the house hot water line(centralized system, heating system),as long as it does not exceed a temperature of 60 C.In this case, the wash cycle time will be shortened b y about 15 minutes and the washefficiency slightly reduced. The connection must be made to the hot wate r line following the same procedures as th osefor the connection to the cold water line.

    DIMENSIONS(mm)

Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diam eter of 40 mm, or let it run into the sink, making sure to avoid bendingor crimping it. Use the special plastic support that comes with the appliance. The free end of the hose must be at a heightbetween 400 and 1000mm and mu st not be immersed in water.

Once the appliance is positioned,ad just the feet (screwing them in or out) to adjust theheight of the dishwasher, making it level . In any case ,the appliance should not be inclinedmore than 2 .

Position the appliance in the desi red location. The back should rest again st the wall behind it, and the sides, alon g the adjacentcabinets or wall.
