Ill keep this and will make a place that all work on paper.

I then rented out a boom microphone and a ZOOM. With this I

took harry out and walked round outside and inside testing out the different distances and heights from harry when he was talking. The problems I had with this is that I had no experience with the mic before and only knew what I was doing with the zoom. However just to be sure I get the zoom recording correct when I need to record on my own I have filmed Steve telling me how to set it up and optimum settings for a good quality recording.WEEK 2The second meeting happened next and I was given the brief for the movie, this was helpful as it has given me ideas and jobs that need to be done, researched and practice prior to recording for the same reason as testing the boom microphone out – so the recording period can go well and to plan.with the brief it meant i didn't need to continue to write on the script because the director had all his ideas already on the brief.see below.

for this i will need to at some point record separate sounds that will go into the movie separately.week 3The third meeting we got a schedule for the project, on this we can see the film dates and the dates I will be given the movie to edit it after troy has done the editing for the visuals then it is handed over for me to put the sounds in.We have found a female actress who will be playing the main part in troys movie and I had to ask a few people if they would mind me recording them screaming certain things which would be used in the film. I also, before or after the actual filming of the movie will need to record sounds that are needed by tro to fit certain scenes that will sound better recorded closely then edited into the film.

our next meeting was helpful as it really planned out the weeks of filming and who is going to be here and when they are available for filming, recording and preparing.in a meeting with steve i got the results back from steve and we discussed the questions i gave him, the results where quite simple. you don't really want to be using the lavalier mic when your outside at all, and instead you want a boom mic with the cover over it. however when your inside using both is a good idea because you can have to reliable sources where you can dip in and out of both and have them at the same time. both these microphones however need to be used primarily for recording dialog only and the other sounds will be used separately.

in a meeting today with troy we have discussed the fact that because of the confusion with the actors and voice actors for the scary voices that the sounds that would need to be recorded separately to the film, would be done in the week after the filming. this is including the train sound that will be used at the start of the film as the opening credits to scene, this will require to go out on a tuesday possible to get the sounds before i come into college for the recording week. we've also discussed that the

female actors that would be doing the voices would not be required at all on screen and that the week after recording would be used during college days to try and record the voices. Miriam and Zoe have been slightly difficult due neither of them not being very punctual.we have discussed following the final weeks just after the week after the filming would need to be more productive and more work would need to be done to get everything finished for the final date, so me and troy have both agreed to come in and turn out 3 day week into a five and fill it so we can get everything done to perfection in the given time.
