based resources for tasks involved with finding, attracting, assessing, interviewing and hiring new personnel.

The purpose of e-recruitment is to make the processes involved more efficient and effective, as well as less expensive.

Online recruitment can reach a larger pool of potential employees and facilitate the selection process.

The online promotion of an organization as a desirable place to work, through the corporate website or other venues, is one element of e-recruitment.

The key drivers for e-recruitment identified in the survey among those making use of technology were reducing recruitment costs (71%), broadening the selection pool (60%) and increasing the speed of time to hire (47%).

Over a third of respondents, believed it brought greater flexibility and ease for candidates, and over a quarter believed it strengthened the employer brand.

However, the survey revealed some concerns that e-recruitment could increase the number of unsuitable applicants.
