What a great start APO hashad this semester! The newPledges, the Brothers, and the

exec board have been firing on allcylinders to make the last monththe best it could possibly be. TheService Forum is buzzing withprojects found by our wonderfulVP Service, Kaitlin Douglass andher Service Committee. TheBrothers have been competing inrandomly selected groups to seewho can have the most fun thanksto our VP Fellowship DavidBautista and the Fellowship Com-

mittee.. Our VP MembershipGurbani Chawla has already beenspearheading events for Brothers, including a welcome-back potluck, and has an epic, epic MembershipRetreat planned (LASER. TAG.)

Frank Reed Horton wantedAPO to continuously expand:gradually in the colleges and uni-

versities of all the nations. In thisspirit, our chapter has been serv-ing as the Big Brother chapter to

Temple University, where theZeta Iota chapter hopes to re-charter. We have sent twoPledge Educators, Mike Petkunand Rachel Ashton, to show themthe ropes. We have high hopesthat Zeta Iota will find success andflourish at Temple.

As always, a major fundraiser isalso being planned: this semesterfundraiser chairs Muyi Li andChristian de Luna have some

ideas about integrating thefundraiser into Penns Yearof Games.

But of course, the mostimportant part of any semes-ters start is Rush. We arethrilled that Pledge EducatorsDan Kim and Nini Lee haveworked so hard to make thissemesters Rush a suc-cess. With 35 new Pledges, the Alpha Omicron class isexcited and ready to learn, grow, bond, and, most of all, serve. Already the Fellow-ship Calendar is full of Pledge-hosted Fellowships, andmany Pledges have alreadybegun decorating their note-books and spending qualitytime with Brothers and eachother. Thanks also to Big/Little Coordinator Jason Leefor a well-run Rush FinalMixer and to Mike Rivera fordesigning Rush flyers thatcould only be described as

    HARDCORE.
