Fan-maker to the queens in the 19th century,

DUVELLEROY is the only Parisian house of

fans to have survived to this day. In 2010, Eloïse

Gilles and Raphaëlle de Panafieu partnered

with DUVELLEROY’s last heir and threw

themselves into resurrecting the fan as a fashion

accessory. Be it couture fans, designer fans or

custom fans for special events, DUVELLEROY

could make all your fan wishes come true.

DUVELLEROY has been recognized a Living

Heritage Company.

Founded in Paris in 1827 by Jean-Pierre Duvelleroy, very soon the house of DUVELLEROY earned several medals at the Universal Exhibition and opened a store Rue de la Paix. The house’s delicately crafted fans, characteristic of the French Couture, made it the official supplier to the queens, starting with Queen Victoria. The House of DUVELLEROY was able to remain in existence and retain its memory thanks to its last heir, who kept pleating moulds, sketches for sticks, guards, leafs, vintage fans, convinced that «one day, he would make something of it». One day, two young women knocked on his door with a crazy dream: to bring modernity to couture fans, to bring DUVELLEROY back.

DUVELLEROY opened its Parisian boutique in the neighbourhood of the Eiffel tower. This black and yellow boudoir shelters the collections - couture fans, designer fans, swan headdresses - but also the special orders and the marvelous archives of the House founded in Paris in 1827. A must-see that can be visited by appointment at 17 rue Amélie, Paris 7.

For its Couture hand-fan collections, DUVELLEROY combines the know-how of a dozen of specialist craftsmen, faithful to the French hand-fan tradition. Embroiderers, pleaters, engravers take part in the creation of this high-end accessory. A fanmaker trained by the last master of arts in France assembles each fan by hand. All fans are signed by the House’s longtime emblem: a daisy stamped on the rivet. DUVELLEROY Couture fans come in their signature yellow boxes.D

Thanks to its know-how as a fanmaker, DUVELLEROY has elaborated a headwear line in metal and feathers inspired by the Swan Lake ballet, 100% made in Paris. Made to fit on the nape of the neck, this new accessory combines the refinement of a hat with the practicality of a headband. These headdresses are enhanced with the same feathers of coque, guinea fowl or pheasant as those which adorn DUVELLEROY hand-fans. S
