During this Lesson we are going to:
Define- “What is a System?”
Investigate- “What components make up a System.”
Explore- “Different types of Systems.”
What is a System?
Technology- Is the use of scientific knowledge to turn resources into goods and services that society needs and wants.
System-
A group of interrelated parts that work together to produce a desired result .
– Input represents the resource that will be transformed to the output.
– Resources-is any type of supply, service, or support.
– Requirements-are the features that define the performance of a system.
– Process- a series of steps by which resources are changed into desired products.
– Output- Output represents the desired result, outcome, or goal.
– Control-is a device that is used to adjust the operation of the system.
– Feedback- is information about the output of a system that can be used to adjust it.
