Skill Volunteering Physical Expedition

SkillTo complete this section students must take up or continue a skill for 3 (or 6 months).

Examples: Playing a musical instrument, chess, cooking, IT, gardening, craft.

VolunteeringTo complete this section students must take up or continue a volunteering project for 3 (or 6 months).

Examples: Youth work, sports leadership, campaigning, working in a charity shop.

PhysicalTo complete this section students must take up or continue a physical activity for 3 (or 6 months).

Examples: Dance, fitness, team sports, extreme sports, martial arts.

Expedition

To complete the expedition section students need to attend all the training sessions and complete both a practice and assessed expedition.

- First Aid - Team work - Navigation skills - How to pack - Country Code/Road Safety - Cooking on a trangia - Tents - Route planning

Practice ExpeditionGroup A: 23rd – 24th April 2016

Group B: 7th – 8th May 2016

Assessed ExpeditionGroup A: 18th – 19th June 2016Group B: 9th – 10th July 2016

How do the expeditions work?

The main aim of the expedition section is to encourage students to be as independent as possible and to work as a team to solve any problems as they arise.
