P & C News
Our first meeting this term is tonight, Monday 1
August. All members are encouraged to attend,
and we extend a warm welcome to any new
members.
An important item on the agenda tonight is the
voting to release the funds for the new fixed
equipment. This equipment is costing $38,820.
The current design is a result of a survey of all
Dudley students on play equipment items
organised by John Costolo. Using the most
popular equipment items from this survey, 3
separate designs were presented to the Student
Representative Council, and a vote was held to
determine the preferred design.
This design includes soft-fall surface around all
the fall-zones of the equipment and is a result of
tireless negotiation between Peter Adams and
the equipment provider on behalf of the school.
Other items for discussion tonight include
fundraising, canteen menu and committee,
general, uniform and canteen treasury reports
and P&C communication.
Please feel free to attend our meeting and
contribute your ideas. If you cannot attend you
are welcome to send ideas or comments via
email to dudleyschoolpandc&gmail.com and
your comments will be raised at the meeting.

Book Week Open Day
This Wednesday is our Book Week/Education
Week Open Day. The theme is ‘Australia: Story

Our Book Fair opens at 8am in the library with a

in the quadrangle, where each class will
parade in their costume.
After the assembly, parents and friends are
invited to join our students for lunch in the
playground. You might like to pack a picnic
lunch. For parents and friends, the canteen will
provide complimentary tea/coffee, and will
provide pre-ordered lunches – orders due by
Monday 1/8/16.
Don’t forget to visit the Book Fair during lunch –
the Fair will finish at 2pm.
Hope to see you there.
