A material with unanimously acclaimed qualities: long service life, resistance to impacts, elongation, compression, very high pressure, and corrosion.

An environmentally friendly material: recyclable any number of times, ductile cast iron piles do not generate any excavation materials when they are driven into the ground, and site offcuts can be reused.

A manufacturing process fully mastered by Saint-Gobain PAM. From melting to centrifugation, Saint-Gobain PAM, world leader for ductile cast iron piping, ensures full conformity with the specific functional standards and requirements enabling certification by third-party organizations of international repute.

Ductile cast iron micro piles in brief…a whole range of solutions, specific driving techniques, adapted to suit ground resistance and types of buildings.

An industrial product for the building trade, the piles are driven into the ground using an excavator fitted with a pneumatic or hydraulic hammer.

Fast, automatic assembly: joining the specific conical male and female ends.

Ductile cast iron withstands the driving stresses, ground compression, and building loads, and it provides proven long service life in grounds.

Reliable, long-lasting foundations: the rigid set of piles, perfectly aligned, reaches the required depth accurately and reliably. The strength of the foundations is significantly increased by injecting concrete in the piles (grouting).

A complete system: 2 pile diameters and 2 thicknesses, driving bases adapted to suit the types of ground and the concrete injection technique.

An ideal solution to meet geotechnical constraints, combining friction and end bearing effects to provide efficient, long-lasting ground reinforcements.

Fast installation of driven ductile cast iron piles:

• An excavator and a standard hydraulic hammer, fitted with an adaptor of a suitable size for the piles

• A team of two on the site

• High driving rates that can easily exceed 500 m per day depending on the geological conditions

Flexibility of the solution provided by ductile cast iron piles:

• An ideal solution for sites with tight specifications such as urban areas, existing buildings whose interior floor slabs have to be reinforced, areas providing limited work room, etc.

• The solution provided by ductile cast iron piles proves to be much handier and more flexible than other techniques

has been submitted for initial product inspection by the manufacturer and a factory production control, as well as additional factory sampling tests in accordance with the prescribed test plan, and that the certifying body no. 0432 (MPA NRW) has undertaken an initial inspection of the factory and the factory production control system, as well as a permanent evaluation, validation and recognition of the factory production control system.

This document certifies the application of all provisions relating to certification of factory production control systems described in the European Technical Approval document

ETA-13/0649 of 18/06/2013. This certificate was issued for the first time on 18/06/2013 and is valid so long as the conditions in the above-mentioned harmonised technical specifications, or factory manufacturing conditions, or factory production control system itself have not been substantially altered, or until expiry of the ETA-13/0649 at 18/06/2018.
