Duck Creek Wildlife Management Area Regulations 3CSRIO-4.115 Special Management Areas. (1) No wildlife of any kind may be molested, pursued, hunted or taken on any state or federal wildlife refuge or state park posted as such, or on any wildlife management area listed herein. ex- cept under such conditions as the commission may permit and declare hy regulation. However, the Missouri Departmeul uf Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Sen-ice may permit hunting and fishing according to statewide regulations or more restrictive provisions on refuges under their administra- tion. The director may waive the daily fishing tag where it is re- quired, or issue a special daily fishing tag without fee, to persons twelve (12) years of age or younger, on specified dates for the purpose of encouraging youth participation in fishing, and may authorize fishing in restricted waters for educational purposes. (2) On all wildlife refuges, wildlife management areas, state forests, natural areas, commission lakes, fishing accesses and all other cummission owned, managed Dr leased lands and waters, swimming, camping, shooting, fires, digging. tree stands, horses and other livestock, cave exploring, motor driven land con- veyances and aircraft are permitted only where and when specifically authorized. 1\0 motor vehicle shall be operated within the boundary of any land owned, leased or managed by the commission except upon roads, thoroughfares or areas specifically designated for such travel. Unless otherwise specifically estahlished and posted, the speed limit witbin any of these lands shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour. Every person operating a motor driven land conveyance within the boun- daries of any land owned, leased or managed by the commission shall operate such conveyance in a careful and prudent manner and with the highest degree of care so as not to endanger the pro- perty of another or the life and limb of any person. Pets arc per- mitted except where prohibited or restricted hy specific area rules. Camping is permitted only at specifically posted or other- wise designated sites, and for not to exceed fourteen (14) con- secutive days in any thirty (30) day period on any area, said period to commence the date the site is occupied. All camping equipment, including vehicles, must be removed from the area at the end of such fourteen (J4) day period. The destruction, cut- ting or removal of any vegetation except edible wild greens. mushrooms, and berries or other fruits is prohibited on such areas; nuts and water may be removed only when specifically authorized. The use of fireworks is prohihited on all such areas. Containers provided for litter au such areas may be used only for disposal of garbage, trash, refuse or rubbish generated on the area. (3) The head and tail must remain attached to all fish for which length limits are established while such fish are on the areas or waters to which length limits apply, until such fish have been checked by an agent of the commission. (4) The special management areas covered by this rule are sub- ject to all rules of the Code; provided, that wildlife may be pur- sued or taken only as established herein and posted on the areas. 2. Duck Creek Wiltllife Management Area. A. Waterfowl may be taken by holders of a valid daily hunting tag only from an assigned blind or designated area, except that hunters may retrieve dead birds and pursue and shoot downed cripples. Possession and usc of shells loaded with other than steel shot is prohibited while hunting waterfowl. Fee: $4.00 per person age six- teen (16) and older, $2.00 per person age fifteen (15) and under. B. No more than ten (10) shotgun shells daily may he fired at geese. C, Waterfowl hunters must proceed to area headquarters and check out immediately following the end of their hunting trip. D. are prohibited within the shooting area during the waterfowl hunting season unless thev are members of and remain with a party legally to usc the area. E. Hunting of other wildlife is permitted in designated areas except from October 15 to the opening of the duck season and during the dates of the area's prescribed duck season; provided, deer and turkey may be taken by longbow only throughout the prescribcd fall seasons. Fishing is permitted in designated areas except from Oc- tober 15 to the opening of the duck season and during the dates of the area's prescribed duck season. Only poles or rods with attached lines may be used and not more than three (3) poles or rods may be used by one person. Non- game fish may also be taken with long bows, crosshows and gigs. G. Boats may be used only for fishing, hunting and other wildlife related activities. Commission-owned boats mav be used for fishing and other wildlife related only after properly registering and paying the prescribed fee. H. Outboard motors not in excess of ten (10) horsepower may be used. 1. Non-game fish may be taken for personal use but not for commercial purposes by grabbing, snagging, longbow, crossbow, gig, nets and seines from March 15 to September 30. All gear shall be plainly labeled, on a durable material, with the name and address of the per- son using such equipment. C. Deer and turkey throughout the prescribetl fall season, may be taken by longbow in designated areas under statewide regulations hy hunters properly registered at the refuge or at the Duck Creek Wildlife Management Area. Turkey may also he taken during the prescribed spring season in designated areas under statewide regula- tiOIlS by hunters properly registered. D. Squirrels may be taken from the opening of the statewide season to September 30 in designated areas by hunters properly registcred at the refuge or at the Duck Creek Wildlife Management Area. E. Waterfowl may be taken in designated wade and shoot areas by holders of a valid daily hunting tag until 1:00 p.m. daily. Fee: $4.00 per person age sixteen (J6) and older, and $2.00 per person age fifteen (15) and under. Waterfowl hunting is restricted to steel shot only. Posses- sion of lead shot in the hunting area is prohibited during the waterfowl hunting season. All waterfowl hunters must enter the hunting area at designattd access points. 3CSRIO-4.115 Special Management Areas.

(1) No wildlife of any kind may be molested, pursued, hunted or taken on any state or federal wildlife refuge or state park posted as such, or on any wildlife management area listed herein. ex­cept under such conditions as the commission may permit and declare hy regulation.
