• Dubai – The City of Merchants – will be host to one of the world’s biggest and most consumertastic shopping events of the year, The Dubai Shopping Festival.

• The DSF is now in its 17th year. It was first held in 1996 as a government led initiative to promote retail sales and trade.

• It will run from the 5th of January to the 5th of February.

• Night Markets, lotteries to win 19 kilos of gold, daily light shows, fireworks and hotel promotions all make the DSF a shopper’s paradise.

• Opening night on the 5th of January saw one of the worlds most spectacular fireworks displays.

• There are light shows and lesser fireworks displays every night for all the family to enjoy.

• Some of the markets will stay open till after mid-night.

The festival centres new Festival Promenade runs along the famous Dubai Creek.

There will be festivities throughout the DSF, along with great views of Dubai’s skyline.

Activities include a children’s funfair, traditional Arabic tents, musical performers, food stalls, games, graffiti artists and much more.
