DRAINAGE &SANITARY
SEWER SYSTEMSDATE: 23 – 24 September 2021
VENUE: Virtual
DescriptionEightypercent of a municipality's problems are caused by twenty percent of its sanitary sewers
and storm water drainage systems. The best wayto avoid the majority of future problems is to
pay greater attention to them during the design phase. This 2-day workshop is intended for those
who require better understanding of sanitary sewer and storm water drainage systems design. The
participant will be expected to complete a sanitary sewer and storm water drainage system design
under instructorguidancebyusingfirstprinciplemethods and/or designaids.
ObjectiveTo understand the basics of sanitary and storm water system design, to develop skills to
designnew sanitarysewer and stormwater drainage systemsas wellas to designadditions or
replacements forexistingsystems
