Dr. Carol Ritter has been recognized as one of the top Gynecologists in Baltimore. She is an OB/GYN in private practice in Towson, Maryland since 1987. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr. Ritter received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency in OB/GYN in 1987 at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center. In 2004 she stopped delivering babies and now focuses on all aspects of gynecology including menopause, incontinence, fibroids, endometriosis, prolapse, and infertility. She is presently the Director of Women’s Minimally Invasive Surgery at GBMC and actively teaches the Johns Hopkins GYN residents as well as keeping the surgical staff updated with courses profiling the latest MIS technologies and techniques for the OR. Dr. Ritter is politically active with organized medicine and women’s health issues. She was the 2012 President of the Baltimore County Medical Society. In response to the medical malpractice crisis in 2004 she and her husband, Tom Ritter, produced, directed and starred in a film called “If the Bough Breaks: the Medical Malpractice Crisis in Maryland”. (You tube: if the bough breaks). Dr. Ritter has co-hosted The Medical Hour, a two hour, weekly medical news and information interactive talk radio show. Dr. Ritter frequently travels to developing countries to deliver medical care to women who have never seen a gynecologist in their lifetime. She has been performing PAP smears and HPV testing on women in the mountains villages, border bateys and of Haiti since 2005. Her work recently is in the women`s prisons in Porte au Prince working with Health Behind Walls. Dr Lisa Rubin is a board certified gynecologist who practices in Towson, Maryland. She has been recognized as a “Top Doctor in Baltimore” for the past four years in Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Rubin was born in Washington, D.C.. but grew up in California and Florida. She received her BA from Northwestern University and her medical degree from George Washington University Medical School in 1985. Dr. Rubin completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in 1989. Dr Rubin was in private practice as an OB/GYN in the Lutherville area until 1999. She then joined Medstar Physician Partners and relocated to the Perry Hall area for the following fifteen years. In July 2015, Dr Rubin left Medstar and moved her practice back to the Towson area. She is very excited to join Dr Carol Ritter and the team at MyTowson GYN.Dr. Rubin is very passionate about women’s health and prides herself upon building relationships with her patients. She has many patients whom she has seen through their entire adult lives, from their teenage years through to menopause. Dr. Rubin is interested in all aspects of Gynecological care from finding the right Birth Control, to treating infertility, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities., PMS, fibroids, and incontinence, and helping women through menopause. Dr. Rubin also prides herself on being at the forefront of developments in minimally invasive GYN surgery and is credentialed in Robotic surgery.Dr. Rubin is passionate about traveling to developing countries to provide medical care to those who have limited or no access to healthcare. She is the Medical Director of the Hands Across the America’s surgical mission to Peru. She enjoys taking pre-med and medical students on these missions and helping to instill compassion and the duty to serve the less fortunate in the next generation of American doctors.
