El Expreso de La Robla was born with the idea of offering all the charm and comfort of classic rail travel at affordable prices. The common areas of El Expreso de La Robla are formed by three comfortable air-conditioned saloon coaches with per-manent bar service. Every morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet in them, and passengers also have access to daily newspapers, magazines, a library, video and television.

The saloons are prepared for conferences, talks, courses and meetings, with the necessary technological facilities. The whole train is connected inside, allowing the free movement of pas-sengers along its entire length.

The roomsEl Expreso de La Robla has four sleeping cars with seven com-partments in each one equipped with twin berths, wardrobe, re-ading light, air conditioning, background music, PA system, etc. The compartments have a young, modern atmosphere that allows you to rest in comfort. They also have a bathroom with hydro-massage shower, washbasin, toilet and hairdryer.

For passengers to rest in comfort, the train will remain stationary at the station overnight. El Expreso de La Robla will be waiting for those who wish to enjoy the night-life offered by each location.

El Expreso de La Robla offers two distinct routes:

La Robla Route:Takes place in spring and autumn through Castile and León. Its duration is 4 days and 3 nights.DEPARTURES: 12 June and 11 September.

Paraíso Infi nito Route:Runs through Cantabria in the summer months. Its duration is a weekend, with 2 days and 1 night. DEPARTURES: 12 and 19 July, 9 and 23 August, 6 and 20 September.

Both routes start and end at the Renfe/ Feve Concordia station in Bilbao.

La Robla Route 4 Days/3 NightsBilbao - León - Bilbao

FIRST DAY THURSDAY

▶ Bilbao – Vado CerveraReception and settling in of passengers from 13:30 to 15:30 at La Concordia station in Bilbao. Train trip to Sotoscueva (Bur-gos) to visit the Ojo Güareña Karst Complex, one of the largest in the world. Train to Cervera de Pisuerga. Dinner at the Para-dor Nacional and night in Vado - Cervera.

SECOND DAY FRIDAY

▶ Vado Cervera – San Feliz

Breakfast on board while we arrive in Matallana de Torío. Visit to the Valporquero Caves, covered with stalactites, stalagmites and outfl ows with whimsical shapes and famous for their im-pressive main underground hall of 100,000 m3. In the afternoon we arrive by coach in León, a city that has a wealth of artistic treasures as witnesses of its rich past. City tour, free time and dinner. Night in San Feliz.

THIRD DAY SATURDAY

▶ San Feliz – Espinosa de Los Monteros

Train trip to Santibáñez de la Peña over breakfast, where we will go to the Roman villa at La Olmeda and its superb collec-tion of mosaics. Then we will visit one of the best collections of Romanesque Art in Europe, located in the Palencia villages of Carrión de los Condes, Villalcazar de Sirga and Frómista. After visiting the Canal of Castile and lunch, we travel by train from Mataporquera to Espinosa de los Monteros, a beautiful town in Las Merindades in Burgos. Dinner and overnight stay.

FOURTH DAY SUNDAY

▶ Espinosa de Los Monteros – Bilbao

After enjoying our last breakfast on board, the train will take us to Balmaseda to visit the town and the Beret Museum. After a tour of the town in the region of Las Encartaciones we travel by train to Bilbao. End of trip in Bilbao around 14:00.

Paraíso Infi nito Route 2 Days/1 NightBilbao - Santander - Santillana - El Soplao -Santoña - Laredo - Bilbao

FIRST DAY SATURDAY

▶ Bilbao – Santander – Santillana del Mar – SantanderReception of passengers in the Bilbao-Concordia station at 9:00. We will travel by train to Santander to go by coach to tour the medieval town of Santillana del Mar, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Soplao cave with its impressive stalactites and eccentric stalagmites. Later we will have some free time in Santander. Dinner and overnight stay.

SECOND DAY SUNDAY

▶ Santander – Santoña – Laredo – Bilbao

Train trip to Gama during breakfast to go from there to Santo-ña. We will visit its historic old town and the canning factory where they produce the typical anchovies and albacore. We will then have a boat ride along the Cantabrian coast that will take us to Laredo. Visit to its Puebla Vieja and lunch before retur-ning to fi nish the trip in Bilbao at around 19:00.
