Why should I study Digital Electronics?
A knowledge of digital design sets the stage forstudies in electronic circuits, consumer/industrialelectronics, communications, embedded systems, computers, security and military equipment, controlsystems, digital logic systems, networking, audio
systems, medical electronics, and so on. Devices used in applications such as these are
constantly decreasing in size and employing morecomplex technology.
It is therefore essential for engineers and students tounderstand the fundamentals, implementation andapplication principles of digital electronics, devicesand integrated circuits. This is so that they can usethe most appropriate and effective technique to suit
their technical need.

What is Digital Electronics?
Digital Electronics deals with logic 1 and logic 0, wherelogic 1 is represented by one voltage and logic 0 isrepresented by another voltage.(ie. it is a discreterepresentation of analog signals)
Digital electronics is a branch of electronics which dealswith digital format of data and codes.
The main advantage of digital signals over analog signal isthat it is less prone to noise.
Digital design is a bit like a Chinesepuzzle box, it looks very difficult ata casual glance but is (relatively)easy if you know how.

Simple problems similar to class work. Minimum 5 problems daily. The problems for the next week will be given this week
itself for ease of the students. It should be written in A4 sheet and must be submitted in
staff table before 8 am daily. These sheets should be filed for checking and no-dues

1. Think of something you are really good at. 2. Now, in one or two words, describe how you
got to be good at that thing. 3. PRACTICE.
