We are a proud subsidiary of the Energy Division of Salam International Investment Ltd

(SIIL). Salam Petroleum Services (SPS) excels at EPC/EPIC and FEED projects, the

supply of machinery, control systems, field instrumentation, chemicals, safety products,

process equipment, pipeline supply and specialized services and repairs. Right from the

project management phase to providing products and services, we can serve varying

A rich heritage has marked the success of our parent company SIIL in Qatar for more

Our Beginnings

SPS is a world-class business, built in 1985 on the complementary strengths of our par-

ent company SIIL, primarily to cater to the various oil and gas industries in Qatar. SPS

grow in tandem with the accelerating development process in Qatar and secure a region-

SPS has a strong business relationship with Drager. Dräger is an international leader in the

fields of medical and safety technology. With ‘Technology for Life’ as Dräger’s guiding prin-

ciple and mission the company works as a leader in clinical settings, industry, mining or emer-

gency services offering products that protect, support, and save lives. SPS’s Dräger safety divi-

sion offers its customers complete hazard management solutions with a special focus on

‘personal safety’ and ‘protecting production facilities.’ The division’s current portfolio includes

portable gas detection systems, respiratory protection, firefighting equipment, professional

diving gear, and drug & alcohol testing instruments long with a wide range of engineered solu-

tions, which are tailor made to customers’ requirements such as Breathing Gas Systems, Ref-

To maintain and enhance our long-standing relationships with our clients SPS uses feedback to

Hörmann Public Warning Systems

SPS offers state-of-the-art robust siren warning systems for civil protection from HÖRMANN.

These systems are modular, have a wide range of products, offer optimum effectiveness and

are suitable for different applications. HÖRMANN siren warning systems are often used by the

industrial sector, refineries, power plants, water dams, civil defense, municipalities & cities.

SPS is exclusive distributor of HÖRMANN siren warning systems in Qatar for the past years.

In collaboration with HÖRMANN, we supply and install state-of-the-art siren warning systems

for Qatar’s public and private sector. And although products and system are continually operat-

ed for monitoring, testing and potential activation, they are cost-efficient, requiring minimal

maintenance.

One of our most important client relationships is with Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO).

SPS was responsible for the supply of HÖRMANN products to the company, which they in-

stalled throughout their plant. Our role comprised Engineering, Manufacture, Inspection, Sup-

ply, Supervision, Testing and Commissioning of equipment for QAFCO’s siren system up-

grade and enhancement. While siren warning systems are suitable for all fields globally, in

Qatar they are very relevant to the energy sector as the potential for risks and accidents is very

high in oil & gas or power plants, both of which are abundant in Qatar. The supply of the siren

system passed the requirements imposed by ictQatar (Supreme Council of Information & Com-

munication Technology), supplies and works were in line with the applicable standards and

other statutory regulations in Qatar.

JUTEC GMBH is a family owned German manufacturer of very light, smooth, comforta-

ble and certified aluminized clothing. Through JUTEC SPS supplies custom-made alumi-

nized PPE solutions to clients with requirements for heat exposed workplaces. JUTEC

products are100% German made and all products are ISO 9001:2008 certified. JUTEC is

Lakeland Europe

SPS represents Lakeland Industries in Qatar. Lakeland is one of the largest manufacturers

in the world of industrial clothing for protection against flames and heat. Lakeland’s rang-

es cover disposable garments for protection against hazardous chemicals including fully

gas-tight chemical suits, re-usable garments for protection against flames and heat, unique

disposable FR garments, aluminized garments for heat protection and fire fighters turnout

gear for both European and US markets. All products are certified to the latest standards

including CE, ASTM, NFPA and ISO where applicable. In all its product ranges Lakeland

SPIRALE S.r.l.

SPIRALE specializes in the use of thermoplastics, thermoplastic rubber, nitrile rubber and

PVC for the production of injection moulded professional safety footwear as well as casu-

al footwear (rain and after-ski boots). SPS represents SPIRALE in Qatar. The company

manufactures a unique range of safety footwear products for industrial use based on exclu-

sive patents and special materials that are much appreciated on Italian and international

markets. SPIRALE Boots are strictly produced in accordance to the European Footwear

Standards and have the following certifications; EN ISO 20345:2011, EN ISO 20347:2012

and EN 347. The combined use of cutting-edge technology and stylish, fashionable de-

SPS represents Uvex in Qatar. The Uvex Group is a German manufacturer of safety equip-

innovative safety eyewear products. With over 75 year experience in production and sales

of industrial, head to toes safety items, Uvex stands as major world manufacturer of pro-

tective eyewear, protective prescription eyewear, VDU eyewear, protective helmets, vi-

SPS has been involved in contracts to supply a wide range of chemicals since the start of its operations in 1985. The Chemical & Environment department at SPS undertakes total chemical management contracts as well as the supply of oilfield, refinery and petrochemical performance

chemicals in association with its globally renowned principals.

SPS develops and delivers custom-made chemical products to our clients as well as technical support before and after the sales process. The

chemicals we offer are being used in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Many of the chemicals we produce, customize and supply require critical care with high maintenance. In order to ensure provision of consistent and high quality services, this department also offers

after-sales support with repeated quality control checks. In recognition of our excellence in serving multiple markets we have been awarded a

wide range of contracts for the supply of commodity and lab chemicals. Our capability to supply these chemicals is complying all customer

requirements such as Packing, Delivery & Service support, which has given us a reputation in this field.

Adding to our scope of chemical supply we provide environmental equipment as well as first class support services from maintenance to train-

ing, of environmental response with IMO and tailor-made courses to meet individual customer requirements wherever needed.

SPS’s Quality Control Laboratory

We own and operate a well-equipped laboratory with various analyses instruments which our quality control chemist utilizes to perform ‘wet

chemical’ & ‘instrumental’ analyses. We also manage quality control of received chemicals and ensure our products meet exact client specifi-cations. Our Lab’s capabilities include auto-titrations, pH & conductivity measurement, color, viscometry, FTIR, and UV/Vis spectrophotom-

etry. Having our own local blending plant and warehouse that supports long-term agreements helps us to save time as well as associated costs.

Mechanical SPS’ Mechanical Sales division works primarily as an agent for sev-eral FEED and EPIC projects. Siemens PGI (formerly Demag Delaval Turbomachinery)

Seimens PGI is one of the oldest companies in Qatar with a presence of almost 30 years

in the industry. It has been instrumental in providing clients with a wide range of prod-

ucts and solutions in line with the needs of the market. One of their recent offerings are

the versatile gas processer compressors deployed at various offshore and onshore facili-

ties in the country such as QP, Mesaieed Industrial Plants, Ras Laffan and Maersk.

3M/Cuno

3M/Cuno are the leading designers and manufacturers of filtration technology, serving

customers worldwide. Their range of filtration products are extensively used for petro-

chemical (amine sweetening units), lube oil system, boiler feed water, fuel oil system,
