Overview

• Mission: Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with students in schools.

• “Go ye into all the world and preachthe gospel to every creature.”

• Report to school campus at 2:00 pm.

• Sign-in at front office.

• Name badge must be visible

Volunteer Procedures

Teachers/Teacher Assistants

• Check students into DBC.

• Teach Bible lesson.

• Give the “Invitation” to receive Jesus Christ.

• Record salvation decisions.

• Sign students out of DBC.

• Set-up Crew (unload van and set up for DBC meeting)

• Clean-up Crew (clean-up and reload van)

• Bathroom Monitor (walk students to bathroom)

• Technical Support (set-up audio equipment)

• Follow-up Coordinator (make phone calls to parents)

Volunteers Opportunities

Recruitment Policy

• It is the policy of Dove Bible Club to recruit people who are fully committed to Jesus. We look for volunteers who have a passion and a love for the Lord and his children.

• We believe that volunteers of Dove Bible Club must be committed Christians whose personal relationship with Jesus Christ is growing and must be visible in form of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Touching Policy

• It is the policy of Dove Bible Club to inform those who volunteer with us in the appropriate forms of touching children.

• Inappropriate touching can severely damage a child. Those who touch children inappropriately or allow children to be inappropriately touched will be dismissed.

• Appropriate touching is any touching that occurs on the child’s shoulder, arms, hands, back, or head. The inappropriate areas are: chest, buttocks, pelvis or lower back.

• It is also not appropriate for volunteers to permit children to sit on their laps.

Discipline Policy

• It is the policy that children who attend Dove Bible Club will leave better than they arrived. It is also our policy not to permit a few children to ruin the learning environment for the rest of the class.

• Dove Bible Club will make every child feel loved and welcomed.

• Reinforce positive behavior.

• Correct negative behavior (verbally correct the wrong

behavior. If behavior continues, refer student to DBC coordinator or Mrs. Dozier.

• Separate disruptive children from others. No child should ever be sent outside the classroom alone. Children must always be

in direct supervision of an adult.

• Mrs. Dozier or an authorized person will communicate with the parent about the child’s behavior.

• Pray while you assess the extent of the problem.

• Call 911, if needed.

• Never move an injured student.

• One adult must stay with student while other get appropriate personnel.

• Fill out an Incident Report.

• Never administer medicine of any kind.

Emergency Policy

• We will make every effort to keep the parents informed about events and programs.

• We will make every effort to provide parents with resources needed to train up their children in the way of the Lord.

• We view parents as partners in ministry with us.

• Please refer all parents’ questions about Dove Bible Club to Mrs. Dozier (only authorized persons should speak on the behalf of Dove Bible Club).
