www.icejcanada.org March E-bulletin Donna Holbrook Letter to donors from 2011 Annual Report COME TO ISRAEL THIS YEAR! Dear Friends & Supporters, It is my hope that you will come to learn more about the ministry we are building together. We pride ourselves in keeping our overhead low, so that those in need in Israel remain always our priority. Working from a home office enables the ministry to be rent free, and I have volunteered my time since taking over in 2001. That is our family and my personal commitment to ICEJ and Israel. Recently, with more professional help as staff, we have attained a level of greater personal outreach and development, which will grow our ministry of comfort to a new and exciting level. We hope you will be a significant partner as we go forth, from strength to strength for His people and His kingdom’s sake. In our annual report, one significant project we undertook not mentioned there, but shown in our budget ie travel, was the undertaking of the visit of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus delegation to Canada; Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Undertaken by a coalition of Christian ministries for Israel, it was ICEJ Canada, which managed the accounting of this tour, which represents over $30,000 of the budget, which was almost completely met through sponsors and specific donations to the Canada Celebrates Israel (CCI) Tour. Each city venue was packed and excitedly attended by Christians and Jews. Over four thousand signed a petition of friendship and support for Israel, which was presented by a delegation this past Donna Holbrook month there. Our goal for 2012 is to increase our individual and church partnerships, to increase our volunteer reps in each province, to launch our educational series in host churches, to awaken our young adults especially into experiencing the Land of the Bible and to witness the challenges Israel lives with daily, to understand the signs of our times, and to be obedient to His calling. We need your help to not only sustain but to grow our ministry together. May the annual report reflect transparent and Godly stewardship of your trusted funds to the designations of your heart for the beloved people of Israel. Kol HaKavod…to God be all the glory given! Edmonton Report by Bonnie Peterson Traversy Missions Fest Edmonton was held at the beautiful Shaw Conference Centre on February 24th - 26th. It was one of the coldest and snowiest weekends of the entire winter and it might have hindered some from attending. But in spite of it all, many travelled, even from as far as Calgary, to be part of it bringing warm hearts and a sincere love for Israel. Rev. James Scorgie, our Alberta Rep, manned the booth with me and arranged for other supporters to volunteer their time to help. It was so great just to be there and meet with longtime supporters of ICEJ Canada and also a lot of new people who are discovering their Hebraic roots as Christians. These folks were delighted to know there is a ministry like ICEJ that not only supports Israel the land but also the people. We really enjoyed connecting with friends, members, and ministry colleagues at this wonderful event. For help with your next event, contact: [email protected] (BC, AB, SK, MB) or [email protected] (AB)

BC Update Several BC churches are hosting Passover Seders:

Neil and Betty Lou Loewen, our BC reps in Abbotsford, will participate in the music for Christian Life Assemblies Seder!

Bonnie Traversy, our Western Regional Director is the primary speaker for the Seder hosted by Pastor Humphrey at Full Gospel Assembly in Burnaby where monthly ‘last Wed’ Isaiah 62 prayer meetings are held.

Watch for upcoming events in the Okanagan area as Bonnie, and reps Shari, and Gail have planning meetings with local members and pastors!

Neil Lazarus in Toronto Thursday March 8th, at the Lipa Green in N Toronto, Israeli advocate Neil Lazarus delivered a power-packed working-lunch seminar on Israel advocacy to a full boardroom of ICEJ team leaders and pastors. Neil’s website www.awesomeseminars.com offers all the social media tools to help users learn and share the facts about Israel to help counter biases in the media and Anti-Semitism/Anti-Israel attacks. Neil lives in Jerusalem and is an internationally acclaimed expert in the field of Middle East Politics, Israel Public Diplomacy and Effective Communications Training. This event was possible through the invitation and partnering of the Israel Consulate, UJA Federation, and ICEJ Canada. A light lunch was sponsored by Yaldeinu (Our Children) our annual co-partner with Camp Gesher, to host young teens (youth at risk) from South Israel (under rocket attack for 10 years) to a Canadian Summer Camp.
