Welcome
Welcome to the Division of Business at the University of South Australia. The Division is the largest business school in South Australia, and one of the best in Australia. We are one of only eight Australian business schools to be accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), one of the most prestigious international accreditation systems for business schools.
We have five schools – Commerce, Law, Management, Marketing and the International Graduate School of Business. We offer the full range of business programs from undergraduate (bachelor) degrees, through specialist masters degrees and the MBA, to research doctorates. Our MBA has been awarded the highest national ranking, five stars.
Most of our programs are offered at the City West Campus, in the heart of Adelaide’s central business district. We are close to transport, accommodation, food, services and entertainment.
There is much we can offer you if you decide to study with us. You will be able to learn about your particular discipline, for example, management, business administration, finance, accounting or any other area of study. But we also develop what we call our Graduate Qualities – the skills you need to be a successful manager and a responsible citizen. Our programs combine theory and practice, giving you the ability to apply what you have learnt to your work. We are continually developing the international perspectives of our programs and courses, drawing on the experience of our academic staff members, who come from many different parts of the world. We have strong links with local and international companies, and we provide extensive career advice and excellent student support services.
Our teaching programs are very important, but they are not all we do. Many of our academic staff members are also active researchers, investigating problems of business and management, and discussing their latest findings with international colleagues. This is what makes our teaching valuable – what you are being taught is based on up-to-the-minute information about what is actually going on in the workplace. Some of that research is conducted by doctoral students who are running their own businesses at the same time.
I hope that you decide to join us in Adelaide, and look forward to welcoming you to a challenging and exciting educational experience.

Undergraduate Programs Business Core CoursesThe majority of our undergraduate programs include a common ‘core’ of courses, which are typically studied in the first year. This core covers key disciplines, such as accounting, information systems, communications, economics, law, marketing, statistics and management. These courses are designed to give our students a solid foundation of business knowledge that is essential for every profession. The core structure also provides a high degree of flexibility for students, giving them a ‘taste’ of the different disciplines early in their degree. If they find an area of interest, they can easily switch to that discipline.

“I chose UniSA because I come from Kolkata which is a fairly big and busy city, I did not want to be in another one of them and so Adelaide was the perfect choice. UniSA is great because it’s more relevant and very industry specific and its courses are more practical based which makes it that much more fun.
The best thing about being a UniSA student is that you get to carry the name of UniSA and you not only learn academically but you learn to become a professional. It’s a big transition from becoming a student to becoming
a professional, that’s the best thing about being a UniSA student. UniSA staff are so supportive of students, if you have any issues, you know there is
some support. The facilities are great, City West campus is modern and new, you have all the facilities right on campus.”

people. During my spare time and term

Adelaide is so well known for its
